Hey, cool thread! I've been on this site for a few years but I just made a new account to start fresh. It might take me a few minutes to make my form, so I just wanted to post first to save myself a spot before they all get full. ^_^

EDIT: Can you tell me a little more about the characters and plot? I'm having a hard time filling out my form. Have they been in the lab their whole lives or were they just taken there? Were they given names or just expected to name themselves? How old are they on average?

Alright, thanks for explaining that! Here it is:

    ●Name
    Charlotte

    ●Gender
    Female, age 15

    ●Species
    Cat

    ●History
Charlotte spent her elementary years going to a Catholic school, a Catholic only because her parents were. Her parents permitted her to go to a public junior high school and high school once she graduated fifth grade. She doesn't really believe in god but, because her parents are very religious, always still has a fear in the back of hr brain of going to hell if she didn't believe in Him. She's kind of shy and afraid of doing immoral things. Rather than tell others her feelings, she usually keeps to herself and doesn't talk very much unless somebody talks to her first.

    ●Appearance
This is the best picture I could find. Her hair is a natural orange-red color, unlike in this picture, and she's younger.

    ●Crush/Mate/Offspring
    None yet; will develop.

    ●Likes
Charlotte can't get enough of sweet things. She likes cats and although she likes the outdoors, she doesn't go out much.

    ●Dislikes
She doesn't like spicy food and she isn't athletic. Outgoing people can make her uncomfortable as she's just the opposite but she can still get along with them once she gets to know them better.

    ●Fears
Going to hell is, of course, one of her fears. Although she doesn't really believe in god, her parents' constant talking about how sinners will burn with Satan has caused her to be cautious. She has minor anxiety and paranoia, which can make her go into trembling fits, count on her fingers, or chatter her teeth. I'll develop further into why she has minor anxiety and paranoia later. She gets homesick easily as well.

You've woken up in... Huh? A cage, it seems? Other cages surround you filled with what look to be human mutants. They all stretch down a long empty hall save for the occasional person pushing a cart through. Where are you, you ask? You're in the laboratory.

You may remember how you came to be in this cold meta cage; you may not. Either way, there's no escaping this place. At night you are all cautiously let out of your cages to roam the maze which is your home. Now that you think about it, you have strange animal-esque things about you. Bird wings, perhaps? Or maybe fins... it's all up to you. What kind of things have these scientists done to you?

Come on now Charlotte... just pray and it'll be alright...
No, Mama. I don't want to pray.
    And why is that?
    He's not real, Mama.
Of course He is real, Charlotte. And he loves you very much.
No He doesn't. He's not real. HE'S NOT REAL, MAMA, AND YOU KNOW IT. I'M GOING TO GO TO HELL, MAMA, JUST LIKE DADDY SAID LAST NIGHT! GOD ISN'T REAL AND

    "I'M GOING TO HELL!"
The scream bounced throughout the room, echoing from the girl's mouth. She was awoken from a deep slumber, and although a bullet seemed to race through her chest, she stayed laying on the floor, frozen with her eyes wide open, staring at the blank ceiling. Soft lips on her face were parted and short breaths escaped them before fleeing back down her throat.
Hangs were wrung in her lap. Fingers counted the syllables in words. Cath-ol-ic, one, two, three... her fingers flipped up and down rapidly on her hands, counting the syllables. It was an instant reaction her body had when she was anxious or paranoid. Counting the syllables in words. loud-ly, one, two... fear-full-y, one, two, three... she was completely unaware that there were people around her as her hands wrung over themselves, trying to make her fingers stop.

Charlotte bolted upright at the sudden voice, hitting her head on the steel top of the cage. Her pale hands raced to her head to cover the bump before sliding down to her face, fingers trembling as she rubbed up and down. Finally, she bit her front teeth down into her palm. STOP STOP NOT REAL STOP-
Her hands fell to her lap, twitching, as a wave of exhaustion fell upon her and she finally took the time to look in front of her. The girl who had spoken stared at Charlotte and Charlotte stared back with wide yes. What to say, what to say? Charlotte found that no words could be formed other than a shaky, high-pitched, "y-y-y-yes?"

ic: Charlotte watched with awe as the girl's hand reached through the bars and stayed silent as it touched her hands and fled. The warm soft touch seemed to fully awaken Charlotte's mind and she let out a shaky sigh as if a weight had been lifted from her chest. She finally looked to her right and saw the owner of the hand. A girl... and a boy next to her. Her eyes flicked back and forth between the two. "Hello..." she said finally with a soft trembling voice, not sure what else to say as her fingers continued to tick in her lap. The bars enclosing her from them had finally registered in her brain.

ooc: @Isillian Falcon || Roy Mustang Woah, are you writing in a future tense?

ic: "I, uh... Charlotte... hi..." Charlotte managed to say, drawing back her hands to tuck under her arms. She was overwhelmed and having two strangers touch her made her feel even more dazed. She didn't ask about the military's involvement in their current predicament or how the girl arrived here and only observed their conversation. It was then that she realized there was another male behind her somewhere that Dalph had talked to. She turned to look at him without saying anything, still breathing irregularly.

    ooc: Huh. Cool.

Charlotte continued to look at Akio for a moment or two as her hands steadied themselves in her lap, resorting from ticking fingers to rubbing palms. "Hello," she repeated, unsure of what to say in such a situation. One could not simply talk about the weather if they didn't even kniw their whereabouts or what day it was. "Do you, uh... know what we're... this is?" she inquired, taking her eyes off him quickly to take in her surroundings, blue eyes beginning to widen again as the cages around her showed their true nature. Her hands reached out, having completely forgotten her conversation with the male, and shook the bars once. Twice. "Hey," she said sternly to herself. "Hey!" The cage bars shook again with a greater force. "Hey, we're in cages!" she yelled in a panic.

Charlotte didn't say anything and kept her face buried in her hands. Long red hair, tangled now from the awesome events which had just occurred, fell over her shoulders to cover the sides of her face. She knew, as the others probably knew as well, that there was no use trying to save Delph. The inescapable cages surrounded each individual and for a few moments the room was filled with a silent uncertainty. One could only accept the fact that resistance was futile and await their companion's return.

ooc: Gotta go to school now, buebue~

ic: Charlotte's face tilted back from her hands slightly to peek over the tips of her fingers when she heard Delph being carried back into the room and locked in his cage again. She didn't do anything more until the scientists had left the room and bolted it shut. Hands still partially covering her face and only flicking her eyes to the right to look at him, as if afraid to more and more than that, she spoke into her palms, "My God, what did they do to you?!" It was a loud whisper. "What the..." she grumbled to herself as the realization dawned upon her. She'd been using religious phrases since since the moment she'd woken up.
