"Oh, Machina," Silver sighed. "You've BEEN in the den BEFORE. This is home, you know? I know it's dark, but there are others inside.
"Besides," he added, glancing back at the rapidly fading light. "There isn't really all that much light outside, either." Not anymore... A voice in his head whispered. He ducked down. Someday, he told himself. Surely someday the black clouds will depart and the sun will be white again. Someday, he hoped, the sky would show blue, rich, gleaming shades of sapphire, and the sunsets would be pink, not rusty. Someday the rain would be clear and it wouldn't sting as it hit the ground.

Kodi's eyes flickered as they tracked the strange new wolf. He considered standing up to try and listen in, but he figured that his leg would give him enough trouble that he'd make a great ruckus, so the omega remained where he was.

Haha, it's just about the strongest thread I've ever been on! XD I've been on FeralFront for years, but I deleted my old account and I can't remember why... Anyways YAY for NightClan!!!

Blue Jay's whiskers twitched. He had woken up just a few minutes before Hazel River, and, seeing his opportunity, had left the den. Now he stood, poised, just next to the entrance. As he heard rustling inside, the young trainee dropped to a crouch. Suddenly Hazel River stepped out of the den. Blue Jay's grin stretched wide across his face. He waited half a second, then leapt onto the other cat, letting out a 'REAOW!" of triumph.

Dove's Light started as something rolled on top of her. The young cat's eyes snapped open, and she jumped to her feet, alarmed. She relaxed, though, when she saw who it was. "Oh! H-Hi, Leopard Stone!" Dove yelped. She shook her pale grey coat, still startled. "Uh-Um-" She paused, trying to find something to say. "Good morning..?"

Jay burst out laughing as he pounced on the other trainee. He fell off of Hazel, rolling on the ground. "Haha! You shoulda seen your face!" He giggled. "Hi, Hazel!"

Dove laughed hesitantly, but then frowned. "Um... N-No." She replied, shuffling her paws. She just didn't understand why the ancestors didn't talk to her- Her dreams were there, all right, but when she woke up they just got all blurry and after a while she forgot them. Like a non-oracle. she thought, but quickly pushed the thought away. "No." She repeated.

Dove laid her ears back as the oracle looked away. I'm sorry. The words lay hot and sticky in her throat, but she kept quiet. Desperate to free her mind from the entanglement of dissapointment that clouded her head, she pushed herself to her feet. "I'm gonna go outside." She said, quietly. The cat stepped past her mentor and out into the camp.

Jay grinned. "It's a great morning! Hey, do you think we'll be able to try out battle training today? Oh, I hope so." He bounced back and forth on his paw pads, glancing up at the sky.

Jay laughed, shoving his fellow trainee in the shoulder. "Of COURSE they'll make you a hunter. Though, I think I'd rather be a soldier... Who knows?" He grinned. Hearing Broken Sanity's call, he stepped away from Hazel. "Well, see ya later, I guess!" He meowed, then trotted off towards the Lieutenant. "Where are we going?" He asked as he drew up next to him.

Jay laid his ears back as his mentor snarled back at him, but recomposed himself as Dust Storm intervened. He considered saying something, but instead remained quiet as he followed Broken Sanity.

Dove watched as the cats around the camp began sorting out patrols and such. Her eyes followed her brother for a few moments, but she looked away after a short while. As her mind drifted, she wondered where her mentor had gone off to.

Jay nodded, a bit unnerved by his mentor's training style. He had been under the instruction of Broken Sanity for quite a bit now, but he just couldn't get used to the way he unsheathed his claws. He hoped they wouldn't fight each other physically with claws out. Jay tried to remember what Broken Sanity had said. Let's see... He shifted into position, then leapt forward. But he struggled on the twist and only managed to tap the log before wobbling and landing in a less than graceful manner.

Dove watched her mentor re-enter the den, now perplexed. Was that a stone in her jaws? "Leopard Stone?" She called, peeking inside.

    OOC: haha cute

IC: Dawnfur scented the air again, but all she could smell was a few cat scents from NightClan. Medicine cat must be out, she thought absentmindedly. She took a few more paces before her breath caught in her throat. She coughed, a little at first, but it continued on for a lot longer than she expected. The she-cat breathed heavily. She hoped she wasn't really sick. The scent of mouse in the distance caught her attention, though, and she trotted away.

Alice rose to her feet as commotion in the cave heightened. She yawned, glad that she didn't have to leave the dark home while she was pregnant. From what she had concluded, there was no good coming from out there. Her mind flashed back to the nightmare, and she shook her head vigorously.

Silver made his decision, and leapt up onto the center rock used to address the whole pack. "Hey, guys!" He called out in his typical non-formal manner. "So is everyone awake?" he hesitated, glancing around for the other alpha.

Jay's eyes flicked back and forth as he watched the cats shoot arguments at each other. He stared at Hazel, but the other trainee had his attention elsewhere. Jay blinked, slowly, trying to follow the strained conversation. When it was done, he turned, grinning as Hazel addressed him. "Um... Hi?" He meowed, still smiling. Jay wasn't really grasping the entirety of the arguement.

Dove watched her mentor curiously, hesitating. "Oh- I was just- Nothing." She replied. "The stars sound great." She added quickly.
