Quilltail blinked and pursed his maw. "Leopardclan? What happened to their camp?" He inquired the warrior. While he wouldn't take Leopardclan has the most proud clan in region (not by far), it was still intriguing something to such dire extent that drove the clan to ask for help (after all Leopardclan was the most populous of the four).

"Good luck!" He called after her. Quilltail twitched his ears, laying his head back down over his paws. God, I didnt think the storm was THAT destructive...yet again they are a swamp land, so its not that surprising. His thoughts then wandered to the idea of Lionclan territory flooding. He cringed at the thought. The territory was mostly low-lying grassland after all, and the only hills led down to the camp (not to mention the camp was basically a giant hole in the ground). Quilltail knew though this was unlikely, all rain led down to the single river in their territory, one that probably wouldn't flood so easily.

Hello, hello! I finally decided to join this thread as well. :>
Name;
Grassfoot
Gender;
Female
Age;
65
Wanted rank;
Senior Warrior
Appearance;
Grassfoot is a very, very tall she cat with creamy fur and light brown faded stripes. Her ears are tall, brown, and pointed. Her eyes are a vibrant green, its almost impossible to determine her disability.
Persona;
Grassfoot is a charming, helpful, and capable cat. She works very hard, harder than most in her clan. The two reasons for such is; 1. She's a Senior Warrior and growing old fast, and 2. She is totally blind.
Despite this disability, Grassfoot has been able to function properly as a warrior. Her other senses are all specialized because of this and she can practically see the exact layout of the land around her. In fact, many cant tell she's blind at all, it rarely holds her down. Though it did take long to achieve this, it took her very long to become a warrior and she plans to live her life as one as long as possible.

Wanted rank;
Apprentice
Appearance;
Flickerpaw is a stout cat with bushy, bright brownish-red fur (grooming is a nightmare for him!!) He has dark brown eyes and a white spot on his chest.
Persona; Flickerpaw is an apathetic, go-with-the-flow, monotone kind of cat. He usually tries to stay out of stuff, especially because he believes no one cares he's there and it doesn't really matter if he was gone or not. He's become so apathetic however this hardly even upsets him anymore. He's also one not to take big leaps or work well under pressure.

Thank you, and do you mean Sunpaw? If so, not at all!

(Quick recap please? And maybe an idea of what my characters [a senior warrior and apprentice] should be doing to help?)
-
(Alright, thank you! And also @ Rainbow kittens I hope you feel better sooner, depression doesn't last forever and it gets better, trust me.)
Flickerpaw scooped up a sturdy stick or too after watching his fellow apprentices (and what appeared to be a Lionclan apprentice) gather them and anchor the sticks into the ground, giving the den it's frame and structure. He trotted over quickly and resided himself next to his den-mates, copying the motion of sticking the branches into the ground firmly.
The sound of water whispered around Grassfoot's ears. The she-cat had been tasked to hunt and gather any food she could--something the clan would need with all this extra work. She scrapped her paws against the ground. The water was near so it was likely she would be stepping onto cool dirt in contrast to the damp grass she stepped on. Stopping and keeping herself silent, a faint sound several flaps on the mud could be heard, as well as loud and frequent croaking.
Grassfoot grinned with glee. There might have been only one good thing to come of this flood. She padded over to the flapping noise, and pressed her paw on it. It appeared to struggle more. Smiling wider, she scooped up the prey, the slightly musky taste of fish rushed through her senses.
It appeared when the river drained down after the storm several fish had gotten stuck.
The senior warrior than began collecting the fish, carrying as many as she could. She made a mental note to mention the large stream had plenty of prey! She figuratively licked her chops at the thought of what else besides fish could be found along the bank as well. Crawfish...maybe a mollusk or two...
She quickly returned to the familiar path on the territory back towards the camp. -
Flickerpaw stared at the she-cat with a deadpan expression. Shrugging lamely, he stated, "I'll help anyone who needs it, what do you need help with?" Luckily their previous task had not been too straining.
Grassfoot finally felt some of the scattered thistles on her paws and she could tell the camp was near. Sniffing the air, the she-cat could pick up her clan-mate's scents. As she ventured towards the sound, she could feel dry, unfamiliar grass on her paws. Must be the Lionclan grass. She knew she was on the right path and bounded across the path and into the camp, dropping the fish in the pile of mixed prey smells.
-
Flickerpaw mentally hit himself for not figuring that out himself. Oh well, it had been a long day and the apprentice hoped the camp would get rebuilt rather quickly. Turning his thoughts back to Sunpaw, he nodded sharply. "Alright, can you hold the vine in place right there and I'll wrap it around?" He scooped up the loose end to the plant and cocked his head slightly.
-
Once the other end appeared to be secured, Flickerpaw moved around the frame of the den, weaving the vine in carefully whenever it seemed fit. This was a very large vine, so it was easy to wrap it around the branches twice with enough left over to tuck in. With the end of the vine, near Sunpaw's end, he dropped in in between the parts on the vine, pushing it down through the two so it wouldn't slip. He continued this process until he ran out of vine.
"There. That should do it. Now I'm not sure if we should try to secure a vine near the top part of the branches to keep them from collapsing, but I doubt they would anyway. They are anchored in pretty tight." -
((Whoops, didn't see that! ^^"))
Flickerpaw looked up from the worm towards his lord, who didn't seem too pleased. He frowned, a bit confused by Patchstar's question. Then he realized it seemed the Lionclan apprentice and him were the only two working on the den. "Err....Branchpaw was here a little while ago, I don't know where they went off to, maybe to gather supplies?" He realized that answer probably wouldn't please Patchstar, to which he quickly added, "Im sure they're around here somewhere, I can look for them if you want me to."
-
Quilltail perked up when he saw a brown figure waddle up the slop towards the entrence of the den above them "Brownkit?" He meowed to no avail. Rising from his spot, the sleek tom padded quickly towards the start of the ramp. Brownkit wasn't usually one to try and sneak out (unlike two other kits who he should not name), and his disability could be a problem, after all the slope was barely wide enough for one cat to climb up.
Treking up the side was all too familiar now and he did it in a few swift bounds up. "Brownkit!" he called, a moment before he reached the top, "Come on, you know kits are-"
The major stopped dead in his tracks, fur bristling at the site of a Leopardclan warrior who was apparently not alone, according to the mixed scents. Before instinctively taking an agressive approach, he remembered Goldenheart's words before she had left and forced his fur flat.
"Leopardclan, although I understand we are assisting you in the reconstruction of your camp, I must inquire what exactly you're doing so close to the camp?" Quilltail tried to look at authorative as possible, he was the highest ranking member currently inside the camp after all. -
Quilltail listened intently, still showing slight caution towards the cats. At the end of Boulderleap's words, Quilltail ultimately decided their explanation seemed liable and fair enough. "I see.." He replied, "Lionclan is certainly not one to reject a cat in need of help, especially not suckling kits and their mother."
He paused his musings to look over his shoulder, only to see Hazelgaze approaching the scene. The major watched as he exchanged a rather affable manner. He automatically answered for Pebblespot, "They say Briarstar agreed to let them board one of their queens while their camp is in ruins, did you know anything about this?" -
Quilltail narrowed his eyes and frowned in response to Hazelgaze's obvious joke of his previous attitude. Though he could honestly get a kick out of it himself, as the stoic tone sounded extremely out of character on him. But wasn't a major supposed to be firm? "Of course, we'll need to tell Lostheart about her new denmate for the foreseeable future as well."
As Hazelgaze bent down, he remembered Brownkit was the first to greet the cats. He smiled at the way the kit had grown, and would even consider him the strongest of the few kits residing in the nursery at the time. He stepped aside to let the three cats pass him, decided he would tread down last. -
Stickkit~
Stickkit's ears flicked back to hear Wavykit's exclamation. Her fur bristled at the site of some unknown cats traveling down the slope, along with three high-ranking members of her own clan. She couldn't recognize the scent, but she could infer it was another clan that had arrived. They're carrying kits, how peculiar!Quilltail~
Quilltail nodded at his lady respectfully. Once the three were by him he traveled down to the camp with Hazelgaze by him. -
Stickkit deadpanned at her brother's declaration. She padded over to him and bopped him on the head, "C-c'mon Coalkit, don't s-sound s-so full of yourself!" She flicked her tail in the direction of the kits, "J-just look at them! Th-their eyes aren't even open yet! And they'll probably be gone b-b-before their old enough to do any real fun. C-cant have them th-thinking Lionclan is their home."
-
Flickerpaw~
The apprentice was, unlike his other denmates, sound asleep and snoring loudly, oblivious to the meeting outside. Then, a particularly loud snore make him awake with a start. He glanced around the new den and realized it was empty. His fur was absolutely wild, but he had no time to try to tame it! He bounded up and out of the den. It appeared Patchstar had called a meeting. Flickerpaw skidded to a stop below the boulder the Lord was mounted upon. He whispered to the closest cat, which happened to be Sunpaw, "Hey, what did I miss?"Grassfoot~
A smile glowed on Grassfoot's face, her sightless eyes still had a look of wonder in them. It had been many, many seasons since her warrior name was given to her, but she could remember the pure bliss of the ceremony after many long moons of training and adapting. It was always nice to see apprentices become warriors.
-
Flickerpaw noddes and cranks his head up towards Patchstar, Light, and Branchpaw. "Its about time! Branchpaw has been an apprentice for as long as I can remember!" He whispers to the Lionclan apprentice, "You probably don't know them too well, but they're really great cats."
-
((I think you mean Vixenheart's kits are a day old. Coalkit is the same age as Stickkit who i believe is 3-4 moons at the most right now? Perhaps in a little while we could have a bit of a time-skip.))
-
((Wait, Really? Huh, I believed a time-skip of some sort had gone by by now. Also in real time its been at least two weeks since their birth. But if they are so young I suppose theres not much story/emotion we can put to them :p))
-
Stickkit watched Brownkit drag himself away from the new mother rather forlornly . I'll talk with him later I suppose... She bit her lip. She stood up from her place on the nest and padded meekly over to Vixenheart. She glanced around her to see three squirming babies. She paused for a long moment, watching them with sparkling eyes. "W-What are t-their names?" She inquires curiously, "Th-they're r-r-really cute. I've never s-seen newborn k-kits before."
