Quiz ignored the brute and walked up to Fulton helping him to his feet. "Took a bit of a blow, didn't you?"
Fulton scoffed. "Yea, I suppose so."
"so how was dying?" Quiz pressed with a hint of amusement. "Better than training?"
"No. It was like sinking into quicksand." Fulton shuddered. "
"The boss is acting weirder than normal." Quiz mused quietly.
"You can say that again. I don't know what he has planned but I feel like there is going to be..." Fulton trailed off and shook his head.
"a what? Going to be a what?"
"I don't know. I just feel were are going to have to choose sides." Fulton said quietly.
"Like a war?" Quiz huffed and shook his head. "I think dying knocked something loose."
"No, I'm serious." Fulton snapped and then looked around nervously. "This who thing was just odd."
"You could say that again." Quiz agreed. "come on, you still look like you could use medical attention."
"I'm fine. I think I'm just going to go train."
"Train? You nearly died." Quiz pointed out.
"And a battle nearly broke out, here." Fulton hissed and looked around again.
Quiz sighed a bit exasperated. "You are one crazy human."
"And you are one wild lion, you wouldn't know realtions if it hit you in that fat muzzle of yours." Fulton shot back.
Quiz narrowed his eyes. "I don't have to a natural born human to see a mad one."
Fulton got up and held on to the shifter's shoulder to gain his balance. "I'm telling you. Something isn't right."

It wasn't that Quiz hated humans, he just didn't favor them of his own kin, so when a new human came towards him, he let out a hiss of annoyance. Fulton ignored him and smiled at Latvinia. "Grumpy? I wouldn't call Xanthus grumpy. More like passionate in his honest and stern in his tidings. And no. He had just left. Riley seems to be keeping tabs on him lately." Fulton said turning his suggestive gaze to Quiz. Quiz scowled and cross his arms across his chest. "What is that supposed to mean, flat mug?"
"Oh, nothing." Fulton said innocently and then shrugged. Quiz glared at him and then turned to Latvinia. "Your a human. Take care of this sap before he dies again." With that Quiz shifted into a small house cat and hissed at Fulton before racing down the hall to find his sister. Fulton sighed and gathered his strength to rise to his feet, stumbling he grabbed the table for support and avoided Latvinia's gaze, weakness wasn't an option here.

Fulton glanced up at the shifter and offered her a smile before nodding. "Quite well, actually." Then he chuckled dryly "At least I'm not dead. Not yet at least." With that he stood up tall and walked towards the door, wincing a bit as he neared it.

Quiz ignored the bird and kept up his search, then he skidded to a stop when he neard the library. With an annoyed flick of his tail, he slipped inside and spotted the annoying elf, with the even more annoying Jar. Feeling ill to the approach of the creatures he jumped up on a bookshelf and sniffed the old dusty texts. If Riley was with him maybe they could use one of these magic books to set the Jar on fire. That would have been fun. Sitting down, he curled his tail neatly over his paws, watching and waiting.

Fulton looked up at the other human and smiled. "No. I'm fine. I think I should just go back to training. I need to be ready for Abaidric's return." He said slowly and then gathered his strength, straightening his pose so that he didn't take on that weak class. It was bad enough he was humiliated in front of everyone. If he wasn't careful the dark lord might just fill out his threat on replacing him. He began to walk down the hall, trying to ignore the shooting pain his chest. He was fine. Totally fine. He just needed to keep this facade up until he was out of sight.

Quiz licked his paw and swiped it over his ear, then he heard the elf mage angrily shout at him. Turning his lazy gaze towards the elf he meowed in response. But quickly pinned his ears to his head and spat as the elf came closer to him, batting out with his paws he scowled. Maybe I could eat him? Though he might tear out my insides with that stupid magic of his. Quiz thought.

Suddenly a snow owl came from behind the bookshelf, holding a book in it's talons. Riley went towards Xanthus and dropped the missing book into his hands. Then she turned to glare at Quiz. The cat looked mortified and snarled at the owl, suddenly Quiz leaped up and caught Riley by her wing. The cat lashed out with his claws ripping and tearing at the owl viciously. Riley taken by surprise tried to regain her balance but faltered and plummeted to the ground.
Riley turned into a wolf quickly but the rips in her flesh still showed. Quiz also shifted but took the form of his natural form and let out a low growl. Looking up at the lion towering over her, Riley whimpered and coward in submission, tucking her tail in between her legs. Quiz flashed his teeth and glared at the elf before returning his anger back to his twin. Riley shifted back into human form, blooding coming from the deep gashes in her face and abdomen. She just glared at Quiz and walked out of the room.
Quiz turned to the Elf and shifted into his human form. "You got your book back. Now, let's hope you don't loose a limb or two in your sleep. that would be a shame." Quiz flashed him a sly smile and then growled before turning and following Riley.

Fulton took a deep breath as she asked him the question everyone seemed to be wondering. Am I alright? Maybe. Just a bit terrified. Just a bit shakin up. Just a bit tired of this life. Just a bit too close to death. Just a bit hurt and distressed. Just a bit lonely and not able to express myself. Even with all these thoughts running through his mind he simply put on a smile and dipped his head. "Oh, I'm fine. I was just heading to my dorm. I think I should take off these blood stained cloths. I wouldn't want to attract any sharks." He joked

"What's your problem, Quiz?" Riley winced as she walked down the hall. Quiz growled. "That elf should just keep to himself as should you."
"Your just upset that I gave him back his book." Riley shot to him.
"Well, yes. You broke the rules!" Quiz hissed. "You gotta play by the rules."
"Shut up, Quiz. Your being a jerk."
"Im the jerk. Okay, then...sure whatever." Quiz shoved past her and shifted into a raven flying off without another word.

Fulton opened his mouth to call to Lativina but closed it not wanting to interrupt her. So instead her sighed and walked up the stairs to the dorms. His body still aching and sore. Wondering how long the effects of the near death experience will last.
