APPEARANCE
a dark, intentional enigma of purples and blue nebulas, mateo is, quite literally, the very definition of tall, dark, and handsome. the base pigment of his pelt is a flat, near-black grape purple, shown most prevalent across his facial features. a charcoal hue hollows out the dips in his eye sockets, like a raccoon's mask that doesn't connect across the bridge of his nose, instead dusty white patterns like small angel wings caress his brow bones. beneath each of his twilight purple-blue eyes marks a decorative flair of a luminescent royal blue eyeliner, clean and perfected with practice. further along down his body, a white ruff of fur interrupts the pitch purple, a clean cape with deliberate spots of blank canvas trailing down his shoulders. the white is abandoned quickly after that, only a chevron of lilac falling down his spine along with crescents of the pale shade at his haunches. a this point, the base coat of his fur has faded entirely to a jet black, the outline of his limbs sharp yet hardly visible, all at once. the night sky bleeds into the pitch, lifelike stars dimming depending on their distance to the apex of his paws. PERSONALITY
mateo's biggest issue is that he tries much too hard to live up to unspoken expectations. he feels as if there is a standard to being part of his family, and that he needs to constantly prove himself to maintain it, though the way he executes this is faulty, at best. he attempts to keep up a facade of this proper, all-business older brother figure, but it is all too easy for him to break this character. he, as an individual, is sensitive to others' and his own emotions, rendering him vulnerable to impulsive tendencies and shooting first, asking questions later. he is fairly rough on his younger siblings, as well, attempting to be someone they can look up to, but all the while subconsciously trying to control them, unknowing that the bond of siblings should come naturally and not with him scolding them over the littlest things. he is not necessarily abusive towards them, no, but he is all too hard on them without even meaning to, because he is so volatile when provoked with change or maybe even just simple mistakes that they might make. he keeps himself distant to those in his life, idolizing his parents an unhealthy amount and being a conflicting mess of neglectful yet possessive of his siblings. if it's alright with you, i'd like to give him horn mutations? they would grow from below the back of his ears and basically frame his jaw, comparable to a exmoor horn ram but situated a little differently :> i'm sure of what powers to give him atm, so i'm just gonna think about it a bit more if he's accepted, though shapeshifting is guaranteed.
