There sure had been a lot of big deaths and turning points lately. Katerina stepping down, Damien stepping up as leader and just as quickly dying, Kenzo becoming leader, dying..who knew if Ber was going to end up dying just as quickly as Damien and Kenzo did after becoming leader. It almost felt like a curse had been placed upon the Tribe.
A curse.
A curse was generally done by supernatural beings. Supernatural beings tended to be known as otherwordly. Otherwordly..it had made her start to think about gods. She'd never really bothered to think about them before, but now she was wondering if the clan had done something to piss of some god or other. So, she'd managed to find books. A lot of books. Books about every group of gods she could get her paws on. Greek Gods, Christian God, Egyptian Gods..she'd found as many as she could find.
And she spent hours pouring over the text. Good thing she already knew how to read, and with each book she was getting better and better. She was memorising every story, every line of text. She'd note down everything any god might consider bad, a sin, something to be punished for. Try to see if anything matched up.
But it didn't. She just couldn't find anything. Maybe she was just looking in the wrong places, she'd tell herself. She wasn't reading it properly. So she'd read again. And again. And again. Until her nights were becoming sleepless as she tried to figure out what to do.
So there she was, probably at some time late at night, at a time when she should really be sleeping, reading another book. This time, it was one on some Greek Gods, about some stories to do with them. And it was obvious, from her neutral expression, the way she talked if anyone were to speak to her, that the deaths had seriously hit hard.

She wasn't really good with herbs, but regardless, she was here. Seeing as Virizen had already attempted to get rid of the blade, she would busy herself with an attempt to see what was wrong. She knew something was up, that was why she had asked earlier, when he just looked dull and sad.
"Jax..don't. Don't hurt yourself," she'd start, fumbling for words, unsure whether what she was saying was good or bad. "I-I know you're hurting. I'm hurting, too. Everyone's hurting. But we're all here for each other, okay? We're here for you."
