[justify] Snap's life was not generally full of excitement. She had been born a kittypet, which, you know, wasn't even all that bad. The fawn and white six-moon-old didn't think it was that bad, either. In fact, she wasn't the kind of cat that just went out adventuring because she felt like it and "Screw the authorities." In fact, the apprentice-aged feline enjoyed staying home. Indoors, as her mother always said, was the only place safe from the disgusting demons out here. Especially the flying, unnaturally-colored creatures that resided out here. Her stories scared her - not like she would ever admit that to her siblings, as being the oldest in the litter meant you better be the best or else you're worthless, but those words weren't the most positive. Fangs, horns, strange lizard skins on tigers. The outside world was a terrifying, mutated place, full of monsters only fit to live underneath a bed.
Like most stories, this entire event was not due to her relentless curiosity. It was a dare, and nothing more.

"Betcha won't go out in the clan land!" her younger, brown-colored brother snickered, waving his tail around rapidly.
"Betcha I will!" she snapped in response. When she had been named, her mother must have been predicting the future, because snapping was certainly something that young Snap did quite often.
    "Won't!"
    "Will!"
    "Won't!"
"Wi-" Snap was cut off by her mother, a feline with a pelt almost identical to her brother's.
"Quit your bickering!" Poppy spat, glaring at two of her kittens with a stare as fierce as fire itself. "Sammy, your sister won't be going out into the wild - not for one minute, not for a billion. You should know better than to make such a cruel dare! I already scolded you once for trying to sneak out at night last week." She sighed, shaking her head in disapproval. They weren't half as obedient as they had been when they were a mere moon old. Back then, they would hiss and spit at the thought of going outside. Nowadays, things were different.
Directing her gaze towards her eldest, Poppy's tail twitched in anger. "And you! I thought that you would have known by now to always set a good example for your little brothers." Snap was the only girl out of a litter of four, having three young, unruly little fellows. Not like it affected her much. After all, being your mother's pride and joy is a good trade-off for sisters.
    This, however, upset Sammy.
"Don't call me little! I'm not even a day younger than her, and you treat me like I'm a flea!" he squeaked, jumping up and down. "I want to see the outside world! You can't prevent us from it! Remember Telly from next door? She left, and I heard news that she was doing perfectly fine! You can't keep lying to us!"
"Telly hasn't been seen in months," she remarked, finding it exceedingly difficult not to bare her teeth at the chocolate-colored tomcat.
    "You can't be sure!"
This was just too much for Poppy. "Stop talking back!" she yowled. "You better hope you don't end up just like poor old Telly!"
Finally realizing what a mistake he was making, Sammy's tail lowered as he slowly trotted away. If he had learned anything in his two seasons of life, it was to never upset Mom.

The following night, Snap couldn't help but think about what her brother had said. Lies? Her mother would never lie! She always told them how much she loved them, and how they could trust her every word. It seemed crazy to say such a false accusation! But, then again, it was hard not to agree with them. Was Telly really okay out there? She had been older when she left, which had been when they weren't even two moons old. Maybe she could sneak a peek, just to talk with her. If she was quick enough, then Poppy would never even notice.
Like a blur of sandy-colored something, the feline zoomed away, praying that they were all asleep. She would never hear the end of it if her mother found out. Snap would be grounded for life! Oh dear lord, please be merciful was all that was racing through her mind. Now, the fawn-and-white she-cat was not normally very religious. But if she had any time to start, right now would be it.
The window was open, the curtains in front of it blowing around gently in the breeze. Boy oh boy, did she feel adventurous! Her heart thumping, Snap licked her lips, taking a leap of faith up to the sill. She took a look behind her. Luckily, no one stirred.
Well, she made it all the way to the window. But, as she looked downwards, the young cat suddenly realized that this journey may end up meaning life or death. Spotting a large branch somewhat close to her, she pounced away, closing her eyes as she neared it. Clinging onto it, Snap opened up her emerald green eyes, breathing heavily and glancing down. She made it. She made it, and she wasn't even dead, nor injured! It was all childsplay from here, wasn't it?
Climbing down the tree, she looked up at the moon, hovering in the sky straight above her. There were still a good six hours left until they would wake up, if not more. That was plenty of time. Although Snap had no clue whether or not Telly had gone to the clan nearest, she wasn't really concerned with her right now. Her first steps on the grass were wondrous. No matter what, Snap didn't want to stop just today. She would stay long enough to get a nice feel. Maybe months. Maybe years. The life of a wildcat wasn't just risky - it was also soothing. She felt at home.

After about an hour of venturing in zigzags all around, she finally crossed the border into WindClan territory. And then she waited. What was the proper etiquette? Should she ask for someone to come? Just stay quiet, maybe? Wait outside of the territory? Or go further in? Oh, so many questions, so little answers!
Just then, she remembered something. Oh no - Poppy would be worried sick about her. She may even end up coming all the way out here if she found her scent trail. Living dangerous wasn't as much fun when your mother was getting ready to rat you out and then never let you see the light of day again.
Bad idea number one in Snap's life : Leaving home without prior notice.

[justify]Hello there, everyone! I'm Circ! You may or may not know me from RiverClan/ThunderClan/WindClan from over a year ago/The Bureau ect., but I would't expect you to ;). Anyways, would anyone like a thread with Snap? I decided to create her after I cleared out the rest of my characters, and I'm really excited to roleplay here again. I used to play Churchpaw, a former honorguard.

[justify] Snap did not expect to have been greeted first by such a strangely mutated... thing. In all honesty, she was horrified. It wasn't too late to go back, was it? If these same creatures made up the entire clan, then the fawn feline didn't want to label herself as a WindClan.
"Uuuh-," she stuttered, gaze widened. You idiot! He probably thinks I'm some kind of timid weirdo. Finally gathering enough strength to form real words, Snap took a deep breath. "What are you?" the housecat asked, nearly spitting it out. Not like she wanted to appear as a jerk. It was just hard to get her point across without sounding babyish. And acting young was the last thing she wanted to do around these clanners.
She looked over at the dark-colored cat, debating whether or not she should make up a name. They didn't seem all that threatening, though, so maybe it was okay to be truthful. "I'm Snap. But why do you need my name?" From her experience, names weren't all that important. You could live your life calling yourself the nameless loner, and people would just pass you off as another one - it wasn't all that odd to live in solitude, especially here in the mountains. Maybe this was one of those "One of Us" situations. The young she-cat remembered having been told just how strange their names were.
Thankful that the rest of them hadn't pestered her with even more questions, Snap looked back at Benedict, the tags on her collar jingling as she did so. Nobody here had collars like herself. If she joined, maybe she would need to do away with it. Fitting in was definitely going to be her first priority.

( Mobile, so excuse me for any autocorrect errors! )

[justify] Snap was new to WindClan, as most would already be able to tell. She still smelled strongly of twolegs and the pumpkin spice candles that they were so fond of. Because of this, she had no clue what was going on. It looked like a carnival of some sorts. But, no, it couldn't be a carnival. From what she had gathered, carnivals were never complete without deep-fried everything. This place just looked like some sort of outdoor art gallery. Of course, the fawn-and-white apprentice couldn't argue with the setting of it; the autumn was so lovely.
The feline couldn't resist the urge to smile at this sight. This was her very first leaf-fall, and it did not disappoint. Oh, the colors were lovely! It was as if Mother Nature had spewed up a whole rainbow. Well, maybe with a nicer metaphor. Honestly, spewed up? Come on, brain, you can do so much better!
Ahem. Back on track, not to mention the impressive work that must have gone into setting this all up. Snap could only stare in awe and picture the amount of labor that must have gone into the preparation of setting the whole festival up. It must have taken at least two or three days to get the place into ship-shape. Well, she supposed that was how the clans worked. You put in one-hundred and ten effort, and the result is masterpieces such as this.

I used to play Eggstar, ex-leader of GorseClan. I was too inactive and I felt bad, though, so I made him go missing. Maybe I'll bring Eggy back soon, once my activity rises again. Today, maybe 0:

[justify] The new feline had been out exploring her new home. It was highly interesting, to say the least. This was her very first day as a WindClanner, and it posed just as many problems as it did solutions. Not once could Snap genuinely say that she felt safe. Her mother was probably screaming at Sammy for ever having given her the idea to leave. Sammy was probably furious that she had done so, not because he missed her, but because getting scolded by Mom was easily one of the deadliest things in the house. Her guilt was beyond her. In all honesty, this beautiful scenery and these dozens of clanmates were not the best remedy.
Snap didn't know just about everyone here. Being new was a big issue, especially considering how few friends she had. In fact, the fawn and white cat didn't think she had any friends just yet. It was terrible to not have anyone to laugh with, especially in such a large clan. But her assumption was that, if she talked to enough of her new clanmates, some of them were bound to befriend her. The probability was on her odds if she was active enough. So, of course, activity was of utmost importance.
Unfortunately, there was nothing good to talk about here. "You know that stuff is toxic, right?" Alcohol? She had never seen animals drink it before. But if it could be deadly to humans, the same must have applied to them, too.

[justify] The creamy apprentice glanced over, noticing a strange crowd, all asking the calico lady for a picture. How odd. She didn't know most of them, which was pretty unfortunate, but Snap absolutely loved to be normal. And if normal meant hanging out with total strangers and talking about a camera like it's some sort of alien device, then heck, she wanted in.
Now, Snap had been born a kittypet, and up until yesterday, she had lived as one. This "weird mechanism" was hardly what she would consider interesting. Just compare it to the strangely mutated animals all around her, and this here camera would be just as boring as seeing a tree in WindClan territory. Well, actually, they were all probably used to it by now. Her clanmates must have been the opposite of herself.
Trotting over, she put a half-beaming, half-uninterested look on her face. "Hey, that's pretty neat!" the ex-housecat chirped, faking her excitement. "Speaking of which, would you mind taking a picture of me? I'm Snap, by the way."

[justify] So she wasn't just suddenly seeing things after having left her home? There was one word that really stuck out at her. Mutations. Poppy hadn't lied to them. Sammy hadn't rebelled for the truth. Snap had left home, and all just to find out that the nightmares of outdoors were very much real.
She felt the whole world go dizzy. Eyes diluted, the smallish cat squeezed them shut. After opening them once, she did it a few more times. This wasn't just some terrible dream. Snap had really left her family, believing that everything she feared out here was a joke. Their hospitality was so warm and welcoming. It would be difficult, if even possible, to bid then farewell and just ditch the whole plan of leaving.
However, the little voice in her head, which may or may not have sounded similar to Jiminy Cricket, was scolding the pale brown she-cat. Idiot! You got yourself stuck in this mess, so you have to deal with it. You should have followed your mother's guidance! Oh, I bet you'll be dead out here by winter. Look at what you've gotten us stuck in! Snap was pretty sure she wasn't crazy. But she tended to talk to herself in her head, so that was that.
She straightened herself out, shaking her head in embarrassment. "Ohh, I'm so sorry! But you must be used to this by now, right?" If her new clanmates were really just like Poppy had told her, then they must have been full of mental breakdowns. Hopefully it wasn't too strange of something to have done.
With an "ahumph," she corrected her expression. "Anyways, how about a tour? If I'm going to stay here, 'might as well get to know my new home." The feline had grown to be very versatile. She could bounce from horrified to excited in mere nanoseconds. In fact, it appeared that nothing had bothered her prior to her most recent two sentences.

[justify] Snap had been out exploring the territory. More specifically, testing out her hunting skills. She was a complete newbie at this sort of stuff, having been raised in a household where you don't need to work for you kibble. But out here, life was a whole different story. Learning the ins and outs of WindClan was really cutting down the amount of free time she had.
"I don't get it," she mumbled, kicking at a stone whichever unluckily, had been in just the wrong place at just the wrong time. "The warriors can find prey like it's nobody's business. But here I am, wandering around aimlessly and probably about to return home empty-handed." From what she saw, there were no animals around here that could be considered prey. Not a single chipmunk.
Thinking that she saw something, Snap leaped into just about the worst hunting position ever. This was what she had learned from playing with the little feathery toys that her housefolk would wave around. Clearly, she hadn't been told the right way to do it, because the young apprentice seemed quite confident.
Realizing that she had reacted to the breeze, she stood back up, face-palming herself mentally. Goodness, what an idiot she was! Especially considering that a squirrel was right up there, hidden in the greens of the tree.
Trotting along, the squirrel was practically laughing at her stupidity. It had almost felt threatened. However, that laugh wouldn't last for long, as Snap's head darted back around at the sound. Aha! There was something there! I knew I wasn't crazy!
Excited, she climbed up the tree at her absolute fastest speed, spotting the reddish squirrel just sitting there, seemingly dumbfounded and not even noticing her presence. She slowly crept forwards. Each step felt like a Millennia. As if the whole world was in slow motion, she treaded forward, holding her breath.
Once close enough, the WindClanner pounced. But, unfortunately, her calculations must have been incorrect, because she jumped just far enough to have gone past the branch altogether. The fawn-and-white she-cat fell, but it was only about three feet. Landing in a bush, she howled in shock, rushing out of there are fast as she arrived. Her pelt had leaves braided into it. Even though it hadn't been a thorn bush, thank StarClan, it stills hurt like the Dickens.
"Oh, come on!" she spat in disgust, plopping onto her belly. This was ridiculous.

Nah man, not all of it is bad.
We have barbecue, and that's all that really matters.

[justify] Snap had never been one for kittens. Not when they're just born, at least. They tended to look all grimy and slimy. Kind of like if naked mole rats had fur. These ones were no different. Snap had only seen one litter of kittens before, but she never forgot how they looked.
Anywho, the apprentice trotted over to where the kittens and their mom/dad/parent thing were, stuck behind the crowd. Now that she really looked at it, she was terribly short compared to everyone else here. It was a pain when the tall people were all up at the front. Especially when they were squished in together, shoulder to shoulder.
The fawn solid was trying to get a peek of the kits, stepping back and forth in a hideous dancing matter. Once she saw them, Snap clearly wasn't surprised. But, then again, her expression sure didn't show any joy. Lifting up a fake smile, she decided to join in with the crowd. Insulting the family would be her last plans right now.
"Oh, um, they're really cute! Congratulations on the kittens!" Snap had faked her excitement about a lot of things ever since she joined. But this? She couldn't take it all! The white-splotched she-cat would be forced into craziness by the time she became a warrior.

[justify] Snap had never been on a patrol before, let alone led one. But after having heard about them, the pale brown feline couldn't help but be curious. And curiosity couldn't be cured unless you actually did something. She had noticed that there were no patrols to go on, so heck, the ex-kittypet would do it herself.
She stood near the center of camp, standing up as tall as she could. It was really hard to gather any attention around here. Most of her clanmates were these huge jaguars or dogs or stuff. Young, short apprentices were obviously not what everyone paid attention to when given the opportunity.
After taking in a few long breaths, she started announcing, or rather, screaming about the patrol. "HEY, DOES ANYBODY WANT TO GO ON A BORDER PATROL?" Snap yowled, feeling her voice go as she said each word with a strangely long pause. She had never had to be so loud in her life. Looking back on it, maybe speaking normally would be the way to go. Some of her clanmates had extrasensory powers. They would be able to hear her without having to put effort into her speech.

[justify] Snap had been in education mode as of recent. She was putting in all of her effort to make sure that she knew as much about clans as someone born into them. Of course, WindClan had a good share of unnatural, strange customs. Ceremonies? Weird. Rankings? Weird. Spirits being able to communicate as if they were still alive? We-wait, what?
The fawn solid rushed over, green eyes wide in interest. "How the heck do you do that!" she exclaimed, wonder-struck. This was as strange as finding bugs the size of a monster. "Is it even possible to die and still stick around?" Snap wasn't all that religious. But, from what she knew, this wasn't possible. And if it was, how come she never saw her grandmother playing bingo with Mom?
Wait... "You're not a god, are you?" she whispered, unable to speak any louder than a hush.
