YOU BITCHES CAN'T DO IT LIKE ME ・゚✧

"Give me one, uncle," Smenkhkare called as he arrived. Yeah, godawful was right. His family seemed to be shrinking week by week, day by day. Now, it seemed only a few were left and the black hybrid didn't want to let any of them go.

Smenkhkare glanced around--two people? Oh well, better than none, right? And one of them was the boss herself. "We gotta start hitting back on SunClan harder," Smenkhkare began. "Maybe get some allies. Hit them at once with multiple raids. Maybe kidnap a few and keep'em as slaves or something." The lack of BloodClan response to their previous attacks was a bit insulting in his opinion, for a big bad Clan like them. Sure, there might have been a few raids, but Smenkh wanted to do something more than just a plain raid. There had to be a terror and fear element involved to stop them from raising a paw towards them.

His task from his uncle caused his ears to flatten. There was something distasteful about dredging up the hurt caused by his father. Well, his father's leaving. His teeth set together slightly as he shook his head. "No," he stated firmly. "I want another one."

    THE CITADEL

If it can be sold, then we sell it.

Morality has opened up an extreme market, ready for those entrepreneurs who don't care about what society thinks of them and those who harbor dark desires. Contraband and weapons are just the tip of the iceberg in terms of goods available. Are you looking for the newest drug concocted for the best high? Or you would prefer something from our selection of slaves? Don't worry, there's no questions asked about what you want to do with it--just that you pay the price.

For those who wish to work in the Citadel, loyalty is key. They work as a family, making sure that everyone's taken care of--show loyalty and receive it back--and no one here is left wanting. Thus, the worst crime a Citadelite can commit is breaking the faith between them and the Citadel.

    LOCATION:

Operating out of an abandoned fortress-like prison, the Citadel perches on the crag of a mountain. As its name suggests, it's built like a citadel with walls going around the plateau in the shape of a six-pointed star. The inner castle is where most creatures live and where their products are stored.

Well protected, the only land path up to the Citadel is a single file goat-path, though the inhabitants also use a system of pulleys operated from the castle itself to bring in goods and people. This land path connects to a well maintained road that cuts through the surrounding territory. Sometimes, small stalls are set up by Citadelites along the road.

Though they base themselves here, the Citadel sends out its merchants to peddle goods.

    TRADITIONS:

Though this is a new enterprise, there are already many customs that Citadelites participate in.

The symbol of the Citadel is the flower of the jasmine, specifically of the Jasminum sambac variety. A specific species of jasmine grows rampant in the Citadel and in the surrounding territories, so they have taken it as their symbol. Teas, oils, and other products are made of the jasmine as gifts, but they can also be used as a threat, with a single flower left on the body of someone who has crossed them.

Body modification is common with such things as piercings, scarification, tattoos, body painting, etc. Trophy-taking is also common, where Citadelites might adorn themselves with trophies and boast of how they came about them.

Fairs are occasions where the Citadel chooses to open a market at a location for anyone interested to come, instead of sending out merchants or having people come to the Citadel.

Because they are selling their products, it's frowned upon to sample the goods, persay. As long as its not overconsuming it so that it would put a strain on the supply, it's not forbidden.

    BUSINESS:

Everything is sold in a barter system, meaning they don't hold any weight in currency. Goods can only be bought with other goods.

Weapons and normal goods can be sold by merchants outside of the Citadel. They carry swords, axes, spears, along with other types of goods and necessities. Drugs are generally sold the same way as above. However, there are certain drugs, perhaps new or rare ones, that are only to be sold in a restricted way. Material goods are given the term 'goods.'

Slaves and live cargo are only be be bought and sold within the Citadel, due to the risk of live cargo escaping. Only on rare occasions, with permission from the Triad, a merchant can take live cargo to places outside the triad.

    RULES:

    1. Obey the Triad. Respect those higher in rank than you.

    2. Loyalty to the Citadel and the Triad first and foremost.

    3. Only approved merchants can sell goods.

    4. The captor of a slave can decide what to do with it. This rule is generally the same for all goods that someone takes from a non-Citadel source.

    5. Respect other members of the Citadel. However, if you have an issue with someone, be prepared to fight it out. These "duels" may be broken up and punishment be handed out if the issue is considered trivial.

    6. No allies or neutrals. Business is dealt by the Citadel towards an individual, so their affiliation is not taken into account.

Breaking these rules will result in IC punishment.

In addition, drama, cliqueyness, and rudeness in the OOC community is not tolerated.

    RANKS:

THE TRIAD - a council of three leaders, the founders of the Citadel. Whatever one of them says, goes, and only with the agreement of the two other members of the triad can one be overruled.

    Yamazaki

    Kahlua

    Tsipouros

CLASSES include Merchants, Marauders, Agents, Wardens. These are specialties that people can focus in and once they have achieved a certain mastery in them, they are promoted to become a ____ of one star. Within each class, there are six grades or 'stars', which are awarded based on service. For example, a merchant of one star is lower in status than other classes of two or more stars.

MERCHANTS - those tasked with leading caravans to sell goods outside of the Citadel and the surrounding territory

MARAUDERS - those tasked with leading raids to capture slaves and keeping the slaves in the prison

AGENTS - those tasked with acquiring information about specific groups. each agent focuses on a specific group to report

WARDENS - those tasked with enforcing the laws of and defending the Citadel

REGULAR RANKS are those who haven't chosen to specialize in anything yet or are training to specialize in one of the classes above.

CITIZENS (placeholder name) are the general term of these. They usually receive basic training and survival skills, such as hunting, fighting, etc. They basically provide for everyone else and may also be craftsmen, being painters, smiths, stonemasons, etc

SLAVES are prisoners or captives and are often referred to as live cargo, being lumped in with livestock and non-sentient captives as well. They are the lowest of the low and have no rights but can belong to Citadelites.

It was probably time to reach out to new clients. Business went on as usual, but he wanted to expand to new markets, tap into the potentials of a fresh population.

Yamazaki hummed to himself as he approached the borders. The griffin-like creature definitely walked with a swagger to his step, his long claws tapping against the ground as he padded along. Once the smell of the Veil crossed his nostrils, he knew he as at the border and stopped accordingly, knowing how particular people were about their territory.

"A-yo," he called. "Anyone looking to do some business?" His long tail moved lazily from side to side as he waited for someone to appear.

Ah, first one here. The corners of his mouth curved upward into a slight smile of sorts. "Depends on what you want--what do you have a hankering for, bruv?" Yamazaki returned. He saw himself as a businessman who didn't sell things that he wanted, but what others wanted. That was his model and it worked and was successful, so that was what he did now.

"Both, if that's what you want," Yamazaki returned. "Though I really only have the booze part of it currently on my persons." Shifting slightly, he would produce a bottle from his bag. "Moet et Chandon to your fancy?" The gold foil top flashed in the light and Yama would proffer it towards Miles, as if suggesting that the other should take a good look at it. "Neither cash or card, bud. I take something of equal value, so offer up if you want something."

He would turn his head as he heard Rhaelerys' inquiry. The griffin creature's voice was cool as he returned, "Everything's an option. That what you want?" There a cocky tilt to his smile.
