Most things start with an idea. The Order of Asclepius certainly started out as one as well. Leo Erebus had traveled the world and realized all the misery that afflicted people due to war, disasters, and all other twists of ill fate. He had always been a reformer and wanted to better the conditions of those suffering from misfortune.
Like their real world counterpart, they are a group of medical professionals who swear to help all who require their aid. They can be from any group, any background, any species, and are all united in their desire to alleviate the suffering and misery of the world. However, upon joining, they must swear to uphold a modified version of the Hippocratic Oath.
WHAT THEY DO:
The Order generally travel the land or stay within a group, offering their aid to all who need it. Sometimes when there is a large battle/war or a disaster zone, they may be called upon to head over there and help with the situation.
Their symbol is the white dove. If you see a white dove holding a laurel twig, it means the bird has been trained to deliver messages to the Order. Anyone may feel free to send a dove to ask for help!

THE OATH:
''I swear to fulfill, to the best of my ability and judgment, this covenant:
As a Doctor of this Order, I promise to respect, apply, and teach the medical knowledge vested in me for the betterment of all. I will apply to my best ability to alleviate the sufferings of the sick and ailing, along all who require my expertise and sympathy, as I am not only a doctor, but also a creature of society. Except in the case of self-defense, I respect the oath of pacifism--refusing to participate in inflicting harm upon others of our society. Upon swearing this oath, I promise to offer aid to the best of my abilities to all who require it.''
In short, as a Doctor here, you promise to help all those who require your aid/knowledge to the best of your abilities and promise not to hurt another creature (outside of hunting for sustenance and self-defense).
Violations of this code may end up with your character being put up for review. The worse punishment your character can receive for multiple violations is being booted from the group. A character who is up for review has their case presented before the board of directors and they will vote on it. The executive's vote counts as two in the case of a tie.
RULES:
1. If you have the ability to help, you may not refuse to aid a creature in pain.
2. Do not hurt another creature. The only exceptions are self-defense and hunting of non-sentient creatures.
RANKS:
The Order is governed by a Board of Directors with a head Executive. Any doctor who has been of good service to people may be bumped up to the Directors. This is usually through nominations by fellow doctors during conferences, though the Executive does not need to bump them up if they want.
Executive: the ultimate director of the Order. They handle promotions and demotions from the Board. Their power is generally checked by the rest of the directors, though.
-Dr. Leonard Erebus - Pax
Directors: the advisers of the Order. They usually help train other doctors and scout out possible areas to bring the Order to to aid people. The only way they may be demoted is disappearing for a long time, not participating in medical activity for a long time, or violating their oath.
Doctors: Members of the Order who have sworn in and are well-versed in the medical arts. They are allowed to teach others and are allowed to evaluate apprentices and promote them to doctors.
Novices: Members of the Order who have sworn in and are learning the medical trade and have not attained the Doctor status.[/fancypost]
