Alexander flinched slightly as he felt his father's eyes scrutinise every inch of his body. The seventeen-year old prince was standing next to his younger brother by five years, in front of their father. Although Alexander was the elder son, it was apparent that the king favoured Nicholas, Alexander's younger brother, several times more. It didn't help that Nicholas would receive praise for the slightest of things he did, whereas the dark-haired boy would only be met with disdain everytime he met his father's eyes.
