Foxpaw needs a mentor and friends and is open to anything except for death. Maybe capture.
-
Any help?
-
Foxpaw sat at the edge of camp, watching the other cats. A former Thunderclanner. That's what she was. It used to be her and her mother. They had been outcasts together. But now she was alone. The calico closed her gold eyes and tried to forget where she was. It shouldnt bother her. This was her home now, where she belonged. Why couldnt she just accept it?
-
Foxpaw was surprised by the two. The first to approach her since her mother's death. "Im.. I'm Foxstep." She said, sitting up straight, as she had been slouching a bit. "Well.. I just dont feel very welcome." She looked between them. She was worried they would ask for further explanation. What if she told them and they would shun her as well?
-
Foxpaw gave the twins a look of uncertainty. They werent from here either? She suddenly felt a little better, a little more comfortable. She gave a confident smile. "I suppose your right. Sure, I'll hang out with you too." She said.
-
"Im up for a hunt." Foxpaw said, giving the softest of purrs. "What's our prey, our game?" Then she noticed the kit and gave her a smile. "Hello." Replied the apprentice.
-
Foxstep laughed a bit at Gloomyclaw. "I dont mind." She said. She was clearly feeling much better. Only a few minutes ago, she'd been all alone and now she was with a small crowd.
-
"Oh.." Foxpaw said, lowering her ears a bit. "Well, my mother brought me here from Thunderclan.. When I was a kit." She said carefully. "She didnt like the life there. Couldnt tell you why, for I barely remember myself. I would tell you to ask her why yourself, but she isnt around anymore." She took in a deep breath and shook her head.
-
Foxpaw was surprised by the tom's kindness. "I appreciate it.." She said softly, finding the courage to smile as well. "Thanks." The apprentice then stood up and looked away from camp. "Well, we should probably start hunting, hmm?"
-
Foxpaw moved forward a bit then looked back at them. "Sure. Of course." She said softly. Virus and Trip, they were definately interesting. A little scary, but interesting . "Well lets head out then!" She gave them all a grin, and with that she began leading them away from camp. "So, guys.. What are we hunting?" She asked, not looking back. Her tail twitched anxiously. She was excited for this hunt.
-
Foxpaw said simply nodded. Not long after leaving camp, there was a flash out of the corner of her eye. She turned her head in time to see a plump brown rabbit stop in its tracks and go completely still. "How about that?" She asked them quietly.
-
"Of course". Foxpaw said quietly and stepped out of his way and sat next to Virus. "Do you normally let your brother hunt for you?" She asked him in a hushed voice, for the sake of Trip's hunting. She was simply curious.
-
"Oh." Foxpaw mewed. She looked over at Trip and found that he had already killed the rabbit. She stood up, her tail twitching. "Good job!" She said.
-
Foxpaw grinned widely at them and hopped a bit to the side. "Lets go look for more!" She purred. It was nice to have.. Friends. They were friends right? She gave a sassy laugh and continued moving formward. "I'll go next. Unless one of you want to?" She asked.
-
"I wont hesitate." Foxpaw agreed and continued her search. It took a bit of looking, but she eventually caught sight of somethig she could easily take down and carry herself. A vole. She was rather small for her age. The small she-cat kept quiet as she crept toward it. She was worried it had a burrow nearby and that it would retreat the moment it saw her. Soon, she'd gotten close enough and she merely pounced onto the animal. Her paws landed on it's back while she bit firmly into the spine of its neck, killing it instantly. Proud of herself, despite it being small, she padded back to the others, vole in her maw.
-
"Thanks." Foxpaw purred. She smiled at the twins curiously. "I like you two. You're interesting." She announced. She liked the way they talked in unison, as if they were one.
-
"Aw, you too are so cute together." Foxpaw purred sarcastically. She appeared from the branch of a tree that she'd been sleeping on. She walked down the limb until she was nearly right above them. "Hello Virus, hello Trip." And she smiled as she sat where she was and looked down at them.
-
"Politics?" Foxpaw smiled, tilting her head to the side. "Of course. What sort?" And she made herself comfortable, lying down and letting her left leg hang down. The limb she was on was low enough that they could easily swat at the hanging paw.
-
"No, I havent." Foxpaw replied. Then she thought about what position she would want to be when she became old enough."hmm.. A high position would be nice. I wish they had some type of spy position. I would definatley go for that." She purred. "Im not very sure with what we have though." She shrugged her shoulders noncholontly.
