Evangelina watched him work with his wings with a smile. "Your ribs and neck will feel better at the most in a few minutes. Your body is going be healing faster since you're an angel now." She explained and carefully began to help Andrei to a sitting position. "It will be some time before you get used to your wings so you won't be flying today." She paused as she continued to examine his wings. "In fact we will have to take you to our place so you can practice the use of them. How to put them away and bring them out again.

The little angel then looked up at Raphael who's facial expression never changed. "His wings are slightly longer than yours Raphael." She teased with a grin. Raphael didn't quite crack a smile but he shrugged as if it didn't affect him. "His may be longer than mine, but I have wider wings than him." He remarked with a bored tone of voice. Instead of observing his sister and Andrei, he turned his focus onto Armani keeping a close tabs on how her body was responding to all the stress she had been through.

"Do you think you can stand Andrei?" Angela asked eyeing the sun's position on the horizon. Andrei would have to pull his wings back in before they left because she would not be able to carry him with his wings outstretched. And clearly her brother had seemed to be more focused on Armani than what she was trying to do.

Once Andrei had pulled his wings in Raphael visibly relaxed and with just a shake of his shoulders his bright wings popped out of his shoulder blades without any issue. To Andrei and Armani it probably looked like his wings were practically fire by the way his feather's shimmered in the light. "I will take Armani." He said frowning down at her. He noticed the dilation of her eyes and knew she was experiencing some sort of pain. "Relax Armani. It is going to be a lot worse if you don't let your body do what is natural." He told her seriously. "I will be carrying you to our place. You need to sleep."

Evangelina patted Andrei on his shoulder gently. "Good job! I think you will be a natural at being an angel." She complimented before she wiggled her shoulder blades. From there her wings bloomed out catching the light in just a way that the feathers danced with iridescent sparkles. "Come here Andrei. I will be taking you to our place." She explained ignoring the look of concern coming from Raphael. "I have rested enough Raphael. We can not afford to wait for you to come back and get him. It is late." She added looking at the setting sun.

Raphael said nothing but bent down and gathered Armani up in his arms, cradling her against his chest to make her feel safe. "Relax Armani. I won't let those monsters get you." He said so softly that he knew Evangelina could not hear the words he just said. "You first Angela. I want to make sure you get home safely." He said sounding rather bossy. Rolling her eyes, Evangelina stood in front of Andrei and wrapped her arms around his waist, sliding her feet under his. "Hold on to me Andrei and try not to wiggle too much okay? We will get you both to safety." The small angel only paused for a moment to make sure Andrei was all set before she began her slow ascent into the air.

Evangelina smiled catching the way he observed things from the corner of her eyes. After they were both air bound the little angel said nothing as she made her way slowly between buildings and with relief the city itself. The country was where they both stayed, preferring the silence and peace it brought to them. After they turned 18 it had been a relief to be kicked out of the orphanage rather than it being a scary ordeal. Through their flight, the angels had discovered a secluded and peaceful spot with a cottage that had once been falling apart and rotting. But due to their dedication the cottage was fixed into something almost of a fairy tale.

On the way to their place they flew over a middle sized forest which held nothing but peace and safety to the angel's. Without human influence, this place was demon free. Landing lightly on a small path Evangelina watched in satisfaction as the lights immediately brightly making it safe to walk. In this case she was sure this would help Armani and Andrei to feel comforted. "Can you walk? The cottage isn't too far." Evangelina asked suddenly. She could hear the swoop of wings behind her and knew that Raphael had closely followed her.

Raphael landed lightly after a nice quiet flight through the evening air. It had been somewhat of a delight to him. Considering that had been the only time he had gotten to fly without any worries. Instead of letting Armani down to walk, the angel kept her in his arms along with his wings outstretched for more protection for her. He then continued past Evangelina and Andrei knowing the path well enough.

A moment or so later they arrived at a charming stone cottage. It had an old fashion feel to it with the beautiful gardens and ivy growing up the side of it. "Home sweet home." He sighed softly just as the lights inside came on right before he took a step into the house.

Evangelina only smiled and began to walk with both wings out on both sides of her to keep herself steady. She had managed not to show her exhaustion to Raphael which usually she would never have been able to hide. Only he was distracted by Armani, which was a huge shock considering he always told her that he could never be distracted.

"Ah...Here we are. Home sweet home." She sighed approaching the little cottage that gave her comfort. Looking inside she could see the shadow of Raphael. "Are you tired?" She asked looking to Andrei while struggling to keep her wing tips from drooping.

"Thank you Armani." He said quietly before walking into the simple furnished home. When they first stepped inside there was a small little living room with a few wicker chairs and a cushioned couch that sat in front of a stone fireplace. To the right were two doorways. One led into Evangelina's room, the other Raphael walked into. His room was just as sparsely decorated as the living room. Inside was a small bed, another wicker chair, and a small shelf of books and random assortment of items.

"Here you go. Sleep well Armani." The tall angel said gently prying her finger's from his shirt to tuck her into bed. "No harm will come to you here."

Raphael watched Armani curl up and fall asleep with a grin on his face. But he didn't stay there long. Almost immediately Raphael went into the living room and began to stack wood in the fireplace to warm the place up. Then he warmed his palms up and casually shot a couple of fireballs out of them. Almost immediately the house warmed up and he relaxed on the couch without his wings. He was still energized enough that he did not need to sleep. But he knew Evangelina was exhausted. With a sigh he sat there waiting almost impatiently.

Angela nodded only a little almost stumbling over her own feet. "An angel doesn't need to sleep unless they have used a lot of their power that day." She mumbled sliding her wings back into her shoulder blades. "Raphael will be upset..." The brunette sighed and leaned up against Andrei almost reluctantly. "I didn't know I could heal like this. Transform a person into an angel. I healed Armani too." Evangelina said nothing else about her powers. She had all but used up the rest of her energy to explain it to Andrei.

Once they reached the door, the angel walked into the living room that was already toasty warm and snug. "You must have cheated Raphael." She said with a sleepy smile. "I think I can walk to my room Andrei. Thank you." She said leaning against the wall for support.

Evangelina hesitated only for a moment eyeing Raphael's look of concern and sighed softly. She figured if Andrei wasn't going to help her then her brother would. Considering her options she knew he would be scolding her all the way to her room. "Okay..." The small angel sighed reluctantly and leaned back onto Andrei. "My room is the second door." She mumbled through a yawn.

Raphael leaned back in the chair eyeing Evangelina's face with a calm look on his face. Though below it he was worried about her. She hadn't used that much energy before and doing what she had done was different and a little concerning for him. He remembered all those arguments he had with her about trying to save humans who were too far gone to save and how she was always so reckless.

"You remind me of my brother Andrei..." Evangelina whispered softly knowing that Raphael probably could hear her. But she was too tired to care what he thought of it. "And don't worry I will be fine when I catch some sleep."

Evangelina smiled up at Andrei and flipped a light revealing a simple bedroom. The only change was a small desk with a brush, vase full of flowers, and a window overlooking a water garden along with a plush white carpet type rug in the middle of the floor. To the side was a bed about the same size as Raphael's. "Thank you Andrei. When Armani wakes up I am sure she will be glad to see you. Raphael can fill you in with what happened." She mumbled slipping into bed and pulling the sheets fully over her head. Like Armani's habit of curling in a ball, Evangelina's was pulling the blankets over entire face for comfort. Almost within seconds the angel was asleep.

Raphael had moved from the chair to the back of the house where a small tiny kitchen was. In there the tall angel pulled out a jug of milk and grabbed an apple to eat. Unlike what most humans would think, they needed nourishment, rest, and every basic thing a human needed. But it wasn't as needed or urgent like mortals. "Would you like something to eat Andrei?" Raphael asked having already sensed that his sister was out like a light.

He wasn't surprised that she was fast asleep. In fact he was surprised that she lasted that long. Though she thrived on caring for others first instead of her own well being. That was always a concern of Raphael's that she would burn herself out too much for her health.

Raphael looked over at Andrei and grabbed an apple for him. Silently he put the milk away while coming up with a answer to his question. The events for him weren't fuzzy. But the new thing Evangelina had done made him without some answers he would want to know himself. Sitting down, the tall angel handed him an apple taking a bite of his own. After swallowing, Raphael shrugged a little.

"I don't know how long you two have been attacked really. In fact I was chasing after my sister who heard Armani's scream from where we sitting. We got to the scene and found her being attacked by demons. Of course my sister being as selfless as she is went into the crowd to save and heal Armani. I fought the demons off." Raphael paused with a frown. "Armani wanted Angela to find you because you had gotten hit first. When she found you, you were dead."

Taking another bite of his apple, Raphael let the events sink into Andrei's mind before continuing. "Then it was rather confusing. My sister can only heal what is not mortal or what is alive. She told me she could heal you. But you would not be mortal. In fact she somehow managed to change you into what we are. Angels. I don't know what happened and I can't wrap my mind around it either. I have fighting powers not Evangelina's gift of sensing good from evil nor her healing abilities." Shaking his head in disbelief he gulped down his milk quickly.

"I don't think Evangelina even knew what she was doing. Maybe it was an instinct that came out. But she's never been that intent on saving any person. But it could be the fact that you two have been the first people who have not been uncomfortable in our presence. Evangelina takes it very hard when she is shunned. But we are some sort of Angel's. I think anyone who does not have a pure and good intention in their hearts makes it hard for them to be around us. It might be a good theory on how you were transformed and none of the other humans she tried to save just faded away...." Raphael then fell silent staring into the flames with a deep and thoughtful look on his face.

The angel shrugged just a tiny bit surprised and unused to be thanked about anything he did. Most of the time he just fought of the demons while his sister did the saving. And she rarely got any thanks from the people she healed. When she healed them they almost immediately run off screaming about monsters. That affected his sister a lot which made him resent every human he had come across. That is until they saved Armani and Andrei.

"It's no problem really..." He muttered running a hand through his hair. "Armani is a tough little woman." He admitted softly. "She didn't run off screaming monster like the rest of them.... We are used to that happening." Thinking about how disappointed his sister was after each one turned them away, the tall angel couldn't help but grin.

"When Evangelina wakes up you will see the happiest little angel that's alive. You and Armani made her night. Not just being able to save you but staying with us and not screaming monster. In fact she will be delighted in the smallest of things. It wears her down to see and feel a lot bad and not a lot of good. So thank you both."

Smiling the angel stretched his legs out in front of him eyeing the time. It always seemed to pass slowly during this time. "You don't owe us anything." Raphael said squirming a little in his seat. He never felt comfortable with speaking for long periods of time let alone being unusually praised. His job was always to observe and protect. He left the conversations up to his sister who loved to talk. But since she hadn't had anyone to really speak to, she was as quiet as he was at times.

"In Evangelina's opinion they have a hard time swallowing something that they don't believe exists. That they had landed right in the middle of it. I don't really believe that foolishness. But if it keeps her from falling into depression then fine." Raphael said with a tap of his fingers. He was beginning to feel a little antsy when he stood up quietly.

"I'll be back at dawn. The night is perfect for a flight. Andrei you can take a nap on the couch if you want. It might not be needed but it might help." He suggested before pushing himself out of the house and into the night air. Right before the door closed, he shot out his wings and leaped into the sky almost instantly.

~Evangelina~

Right before the sun started to rise from the horizon, the little angel began to stir. She had regained much of her energy and now refused to sleep through the entire night. Most of the time she knew it bugged Raphael especially when she had used herself up from the day before. But she couldn't help it. She was already re-energized, though it would take a few days before she would be able to use her powers. And she always refused to waste a day cooped up in a bed.

Slipping out of her room, Evangelina grinned to see Andrei sitting on the couch quietly. "Good morning Andrei!" She whispered knowing Armani needed more sleep than her. Unlike last night the little angel had improved and anyone could tell just by way she moved. Just by walking it seemed that Evangelina was quivering in excited energy. Her color in her cheeks were a pale pink and her eyes seemed brighter and happier than before. Then she noticed that Raphael was missing. "Did my brother go for an evening flight?" She asked still keeping her voice low.

"Typical of him. He's not much of a social butterfly." She mumbled before sitting in a chair and looked into the flames with a dimpled grin. "Did you get all of your questions answered?" The little angel asked Andrei curiously.

Evangelina smiled relieved that her brother actually stayed and answered his questions. "That's good." The angel said with a happy sigh. For a while Evangelina just sat there looking at the fire going through things that she needed to do for the day in her head. Then she heard the wings flutter down outside where the sun was starting to rise above the treetops.

Raphael landed outside the house feeling better after the flight. Making his way towards the cottage, he noticed some deer standing by the gardens peacefully grazing at the short cropped grass. Entering the cottage, he eyed Evangelina's bright happy face and let his shoulders slump in relief. "Good you are awake." He said softly. "Your friends are here visiting." He added watching his sister jump up almost immediately. "The rabbits or the deer?" She asked excitedly.

The tall angel sighed and shrugged. "The herd of deer. Maybe you could show Andrei your garden's too. He must be bored doing absolutely nothing." Raphael suggested eyeing the quiet Romanian angel. Almost immediately Evangelina took to the idea. "Would you like to get some fresh air? I think Raphael will be staying here for now." Just when she said the Raphael headed into the kitchen and began to get breakfast ready.
