    Since the dawn of time, there was always a 'master' and its 'minions'; and to follow had always been 'protectors' to keep them in line. what is the master? a unknown being said to be sent from the pits of hell itself. it resides within the underground ruins of Isolon, as it has been ordered never to touch the light above, and runs amok throughout the city. and what of minions and protectors? well, both have different names to classify them - collectors and travellers respectively. collectors are shadowed beings that ascend from the ground with ravenous hunger and one quest: to seek the watches of time and knowledge, aka, the travellers. travellers are guardians that take up any form to protect the world since it has fallen into disrepair. but every year as time went on, the Master became more powerful, and the collectors began to strike down and kill travellers as the Master commanded. souls of the deceased began to wander to warn the remaining guardians. but they did not listen, too confused and busy with battle to concentrate on the true enemy. and one by one they all fell, until none was left over. the Master then decided to take the earth as a home base, but when he arrived, to his horror he saw that there was one guardian left. and who was he and how did he survive? he was an elder, one of the first anointed, and he felt that this power was growing useless on him; he knew the Master was coming for him. in a desperate attempt, he climbed a mountain where the heavens and earth touched, and sacrificed his power to meet the skies where it bounced across the light - causing his guardian spirit to spread wide across the land. from this came forth a light so vivid that all had to retreat to refrain from being blinded. in a rage, the Master ignored it and attempted to reach the elder - only to be blinded and he fell into the depths of the earth - back to the ruins of Isolon. for many years, a thousand to be precise. and many rejoiced, happy once more that the demon was banished. but others had secret dealings with the Master, and his knowledge passed onto theirs - it was soon known that guardians would rise again. this power soon found itself a new host, well, those young and of some lineage to the original guardians. now, the thousand years are over, and the earth has entered a crumbling state. the Master and his collectors are on the trail of the remaining guardians, but not without the threat of the hunters - those who are executing guardians for more harvest of light in this dark world. and once it begins, there's no telling how it ends.     Repocity
    Repocity is a barren city overrun with rats and piles of garbage over on every street. ever since humans had been eradicated by the Master, the city has fallen into hands of robots - who work as garbage disposals. but don't worry! they are friendly and harmless. it's just the city that is dangerous. disease and plague run throughout the streets; oil lamps mark the borders of each so there's a good chance you won't get lost. this is where the main story starts. many buildings had crumbled to nothing or has become a hiding spot for each class. the hunters live on the outskirts within the broad moonlight - towards Malimoor but more or less close to the inner city. the remaining guardians reside inside the basement of a warehouse, where they wait for the hunters to move camp. but also beware the collectors, for they climb through the earth midday to midnight and will kill both Hunter and Guardian.

    Malimoor
    a frozen desert that connects Repocity to Isolon. it's sky is called Nova Ethe filled with one line of stars that shows a way towards unclaimed territory. Malimoor is rumored to house the once celestial sea creatures, where a starred humpback whale could shoot out of nowhere and swallow you. this is also rumored to be the place where lost guardian spirits roam, trying to still warn the newborn guardians that has taken the mantle. it is constantly cold and where one sun sets another moon rises not too far behind it - giving the desert a pale purplish orange sky. the sand is surprisingly warm. . .and wet. do not wander here long, or you may become one of the lost souls who'd lost their way.

    i. this is an advanced thread, which means 4+ sentences per post. i understand a writer's block/muse drop, so that's acceptable; just don't use it as an excuse every time you reply.
    ii. cussing is allowed, the minor ones don't have to be starred out (hell, damn). but anything major must be starred.
    iii. please try and make the numbers of the groups even.
    iv. put your favorite book in the other section if you read all this.
    v. please no power playing, god modding, mary-sue/gary-sue, etc.
    vi. reserves last only 24 hours, and this role play is not first come first serve. i want to make sure you actually flesh out the rank/character you're applying for, with sentences and details counting as points for you. therefore, i have the right to decline your form or suggest another class/ranking for you.
    vii. this roleplay is PG-13, no gore, no extreme violence. just PG-13, nothing more, maybe less (mildly PG then).

    i. all guardians, inform your commander and pathfinder of where you're heading at all times. this is so you won't get lost, killed, or harvested, or worst.
    ii. all hunters must check the city at least once for any rogue guardians or prey items; it is best to bring a patrol of at least 3 with you.
    iii. everyone must flee the collectors when they arrive; there's no use fighting them.
    iv. we must not betray or kill one another, for such a thing is to be retaliated with a horrifying and torturous death.
    v. no pups, pregnancy, or mates. this is law; why bring them up in such conditions like this, where the could die or become subject to something unspeakable.     TRAVELLERS - the preserver of time and protectors of the earth. although they are fewer in number, they are greater in strength, intelligence, and speed. all Travellers have a tattooed number (that glows like that of a star) on any part of their body, signaling the day they became fully trained Guardians. the ranks are fit into four sections: alpha, beta, pathfinder, and guardians. alpha is the commander of the group. what they say goes, and nothing less than that. beta's are the alpha's right hand sergeant and they must be obeyed as well, although to a much lesser extent. pathfinder is a scout that is usually sent out to check on the hunters and collectors latest area and is to report anything suspicious. guardians are subordinates, but they serve as a whole within the whole group. they are in charge of fighting, hunting, and anything the day calls for.

    HUNTERS - the personal collectors with half loyalty to the Master. they are reckless and ruthless, thus making them worthy opponents for Guardians. but what's the other half? well, Hunters have learned that Guardians has a compound within them that is thought to be life saving and a key to immortality - hence 'the watches inside them'. it is worth healing wounds and must be harvested and left under the starry sky in order to work. It is also revealed that the compound can alternatively be used as light, to fill your lantern, to whatever you need. Hunters must where a bone of their first kill as a symbol of their initiation. they too have four sections of ranking: leader, second-in-command, healer, and subordinates. the only thing different from the Guardian ranking system is that the healer is there - as the hunters are still subject to death whereas Guardians can hold it off for a limited time. they have constant herbs among them.

    Basic Appearance a pale ginger tabby she-cat with amber eyes.
    Detailed Appearance/Picture
    in essence, cora is built very feminine and petite - she may look thick from the side, but is fairly slim when you get closer. she has the same matching walk and look, one of grace and ferocity. cora has no visible muscles, in fact they are small, but one hit and you can feel how much power she really has. cora is then agile with this body, being able to slide through many things with ease and little to no difficulty. nimble and quick-stepped, cora is always on her toes and not one less unprepared.
    cora has short pale ginger fur that turns a deep red when the sun hits it. it is protective against the winter months and warm and cool with the spring season. she bears a classic tabby coat, riddled with stripes throughout her pelt and slightly dappled. the only thing not ginger, would be her back paws, who has marking called socks - something she really dislikes. her fur is rather fluffy as well, from her spine all the way to her tail. she tries to keep it soft and groomed neatly for appearance, and 90% of the time it works, unless behind closed doors she's somewhat wildly looked. cora has amber eyes with a light hint of orange, something she thinks is really attractive.

    Personality
    for starters, cora has a calm and level-headed persona - something that she would hesitantly admit. she doesn't let the little things bother her, rather work around them and save time trying to figure it out. she ignores stupidity and would work with someone with some sense in them. when an argument starts, she would be the first to try to settle it - not wanting a full blown fight. often she finds herself losing her temper, but would always take breaths in order to steady herself. she sometimes serves as the moral compass, and would offer advice whenever prompted.
    but, like everyone, Cora can lose her temper and becomes somewhat dangerous - one that usually comes around when business is involved. she is ruthless to an extent, often belittling others quickly when they don't agree with what the boss says. not a killer ruthless, but if the situation called on it, here she go trying to carry out the job. that being said, she is also vengeful but wouldn't show it. a personal betrayal, she thinks, involves justice and a punishment. it happened to her once, and that one time was enough for her to make sure to wisely place her trust in those she's honestly sure about.
    now this makes you think she is loud and arrogant, correct? well you're wrong. cora is polite, reserved, and dependable altogether. she would never forget to say her manners and keep in mind of others - that's not how her mother raised her to be. she likes to compliment others where she see fit or to encourage them. she is quiet honestly, not picking up a conversation unless it's towards her opinion or if she's prompted. cora isn't very open with expressing her feelings - something that is one reason why she doesn't talk that much. she is very dependable; doing an order/request within her own time, however late it may be. she doesn't go back on her word, once it's out there it's there. she is, however, entertaining after a while once getting into the music - becoming a wild version of herself.
    cora is very flirtatious, being able to convince someone to do something, and whisper songs into their ears about a false tale. she doesn't try to overdo it and knows how far to go with it. she can sing about you one minute and talk about someone else the next; she's unpredictable this way. she wouldn't be a siren, no no no. a seductress is the better word.

    HISTORY

    when Bena and Etu found out they were expecting a litter of their own, they became filled with joy. they always wanted to start a family, and many unsuccessful litters were filled with stillborns; they never gave up and admitted that they were too young to begin with. well, within this month of November, Bena and Etu set out to find a small den and territory for nursing and raising. soon, they did find their safe haven after weeks of travelling; an old fox den always did nice. they then settled in, and awaited the coming day.
    within late February did the miracle child come forth. Bena sent Etu to find some more nesting and something to gnaw on and he was gone for half a day - therefore she had nothing to distract her, nor assist her. when she gave birth, she found that it was only one pup born - her little Chogan. she found it odd that his pelt color was blacks and grays, whereas hers was a pale gray with brown markings and Etu's a deep brown. but it was theirs; the one who was not stillborn. when the sire did come back, he celebrated by thanking the spirits for this blessing. they were for once in their favor; but not for long.
    Chogan proved to be a wanderer the day he could walk. his amber eyes wanted to take in the world a minute at the time, and often Bena would chastise him for leaving the den without warning - he never did learn. the black and gray pup watched as the rain fell from the heavens and hit the ground, to him they appeared like a band of birds flying to the air - one by one, but rising with many. he often accompanied Etu on his hunting trips and would always watch before initiating a strike against his prey. and he soon grew to become a great Hunter, taking hunts only during night, and resting his energy during day. Etu became proud of what he was becoming, and often bragged to Bena about what a great son they have. they often watched him from the densite as he walked around and familiarize himself with the woods.
    Now, some time passed, with Chogan turning only 11 months and about ready to move on with life. his parents were now resting and planning on having a new litter; which is what Chogan was waiting for so he could stay around to help. his father was growing old as it is, and he walked with a terrible limp following a hunting accident.

  • fan-clan idea -

    [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 400px; text-align: justify; overflow: auto;][size=7pt] i was thinking about creating a fan-clan that dealt with machinery and mechanics. they would live within a junkyard or train station and would be promoted only by their projects to the system. i also want it to have a steampunk kind of feel; whereas certain felines wear masks to protect the smoke in the area, everyone else is maskfree and only work on the lower stations. there would be collectors that would search around for spare parts and tinkers that fix and repair the things that fall to waste. i'm not sure what they'll be building, maybe a wired statue or something of the sort; and they would offer their services to the other clans/groups. and the group would be called the Metallum.


    what do you guys think? should i add more, or some new concept? or is this a bit cliche?
