I, Fuzzyfur, was trotting through the forest. I didn't notice the fox until she stared me straight in the eye. I knew there had to be something wrong. I bolted silently into the trees, my paws barely touching the ground as I moved. I waited, still, for the right moment to dash completely back into the safety of my underbrush den. Then, I saw the fox trot over to her own cover. I got ready to head back to mine, and made a mad dash for it. Then, on the way I spotted her again. Heading to MY DEN! I was ready for an attack when I got there, and again quickly caught a glance of the fox.

I hopped from stone to slippery stone. I didn't mind the creaks and groans of this part of the forest, even though this place was new and different. Then one stood out in the bunch. This was a growl. Not one like the dogs back in the twoleg place. This growl sounded like a TigerClan cat's. But that was impossible. The TigerClan cats disappeared a long while ago. But what was weird was it also smelled a TigerClan cat.
-
I felt lost. This was a twoleg house for sure, but with no twolegs and nowhere near the twolegplace. I stepped inside, but as soon as my paw touched the icy, hard wood, I felt the presence of something. Something...unknown. I felt the urge to take my paw back, but when it moved I heard a creak that sent me stock still again. Then a moan. A low, eerie moan like nothing I had heard ever before. I waited for the chance to make my next move.
-
I've always considered myself a cat who's good at passing the time. So I created this poem.
The Crack That Frightened All
The pawstep hurts.
The crack petrified.
You can see pain in the eyes.
The end is near.
Full of fear.
Watching as all around you disappeared. -
Then I heard something else. I loud yowl, a shriek almost. Then dark figures approached from all around.
-
I felt something pounce on my shoulders. It was extremely light. It pinned me yo the ground as I tried to catch my breath. These were dark cat-like figures popping out of nowhere and attacking me. I rose to my feet. I attacked again. I jumped on their backs and fought until I was drained of my energy. They still attacked. I should've known! They're ghosts, they never die! I ran, trying to gather the last remaining shreds of my energy.
-
Then I heard the meows. There were other cats here, struggling, like me! I had only run a few feet out of the hous e, I was exhausted. I bounded toward it again, having been refilled with energy.
