copper scrambled to follow looking curiously around at her surroundings

coppertail glanced at redkill than at holly her mind was racing but on the outside she was a grim stone

copper helped moving the snow from the den out of shades way for him to work then after he was in she crawled in too laying her head down her tail curled around her like a curtain and there was surprisingly still quite a lot of space left over

the next day coppers head stuck into the den a tiny mouse in her jaws and by the look of the mouse and her heavy breathing she had gone a long way just to chase that thing down and finally kill it

copper shrugged and laid back down the mouse chase had completely drained her

copper woke up a small chunk of snow had fallen on her head in her sleep and then she shook it out outside making sure not to wake shade

copper stalked silently behind she too had grown older and more mature as she slipped silently from shadow to shadow trying to show shade she was not a cub anymore

she slid easily and silently up a tree purposely making a twig snap then leaped down and scampered up the one covering her tracks as she went slipping up the tree parallel to the tree and hid in a hollow limb waiting for someone to come investigate

coppers leaped down from the fence and bowed low to the shadow-cat"i am copper,of no clan,i come from the forest,yes,but i have been forced to leave my home in search of food and shelter"she said formally her mismatched eyes were full of curiosity"i am also the a fire-dancer"she added watching to see the other cats reaction

she slipped silently up on a branch directly above shade"the one way most forget to look is up"she thought as she dove onto shade,claws sheathed,pinning him and then smiled

she smiled and nodded at that moment a leaf in front of her burst into flames she whispered and closed her eyes as the flames became faces and the crackling of the fire seemed to sing the indistinct figures looked happy as they danced around and the fire spread around the cats in a cricle of others danceing and singing merrily bathing them in the orange glow

she pranced lightly off him and sat down smiling

she smiled bigger"i finally beat you"she purred

she jabbed her nose in the air"well it helps that i don't announce my attacks anymore"and she laughed at how stupid she had been

she rolled her eyes and growled playfully"are you kidding?you could wake the whole forest in your sleep!"she retorted"come here bunny......just a little closer......you will look very good in my mouth"she mimicked

"OH YES YOU DO!"she shouted in one of her gasps for air from her non-stop laughing

she rolled her eyes "maybe i will"she said turning around and dug throwing more snow ontop of shade then turned around and laughed

"i know smart one but i needed a excuse to do that"she laughed

copper leaped at him playfully then stopped as she caught sight of another figure
