"There was a time when she frequently visited, I guess. We'd been in the same class since year one. But then things got busy with school, and well... Yeah." Lyrika replied, turning her attention to the waiter as he approached with a tray of food.

Calix chuckled. "Maybe. What now, though? I guess I'll be going home... Y'know..."

"Yeah," she took a knife and a fork, and began to eat.

Lyrika glanced around the cafe once more as more people finally began to file in for breakfast, picking up the knife again to cut at the second sandwich.

"Exactly. I'll be off now hu?" He nodded briskly, turning without waiting for the girl to answer.

Calix stood, his eyes wide in surprise. The boy felt his cheeks flush and yet he forced himself to walk. What the heck did Yumi just do that for? It wasn't long since they were attacking one another, was it? He shook the thought out of his head as he headed home.
