Name: Thistlepelt
Age: 28 moons
Gender: Tom
Species: Cat / Eagle-Owl
Appearance: Pale beige with dark flecks of color, ears have tufts of darker fur. Wings are larger than most.
Special Abilities: Flight
Personality: Can be rather dark and unfriendly if you catch him at a bad time, though he is normally kind. His rude moods have worsened since he came back to the clan after running off with a non-flighted rouge cat named Leaf. She gave birth to Bramblekit, and another Tom kit who died. After this, Leaf left in the middle of the night, leaving Thistlepelt to fly Bramblekit back to Ravenclan, hoping they would take him back.
Position: Warrior

Name: Bramblekit (Brambleface)
Age: 5 moons
Gender: She-cat
Species: Cat / Barn-Owl
Appearance: Almost entirely dark brown pelt with black stripes, wings are brown with black and grey speckles.
Special Abilities: Flight, very keen eyesight.
Personality: Very stubborn, but is dedicated to the clan. She will go to great lengths to protect her clanmates. She abhors any implication that she cannot do something and will act recklessly to prove herself.
Position: Apprentice

IC:

Thistlepelt froze at the voice of his leader, tail fluffing out in fear. He still, after five moons of waiting, had not figured out what he was going to say to her. Well she would've smelled his fear scent by now, so he knew he had no choice but to step out of the bushes and into the open. He clamped his wings firmly to his side and forced the fur on his tail to flatten. "Shadowing." He dipped his head respectfully.
"I am here to beg your forgiveness, though I know the entire clan has reason to hate me. I abandoned the clan when it may have needed me, and I mated outside the clan. But now my mate has left me without a trace, and I carry the burden of my guilt along with.." He backed out for a moment, coming back in and gently setting down a dark brown tabby she-cat. She squeaked with indignation at being picked up and the feathers on her wings ruffled.
"This is Bramblekit. Thrushkit died of illness." Having told his story, he bowed his head, looking at his paws, only able to hope that his leader may at least take the kit in.

Thistlepelt's ears pricked with shock. He hadn't expected to be let back so easily, or at all for that matter. He scooped up Bramblekit and took off after Shadowing. The she-kit squealed again in irritation.
"I can fly myself now!"
Thistlepelt didn't bother responding in favor of keeping Bramblekit's scruff clamped firmly in his mouth.

Bramblepaw paced nervously, unable to sit down and wait. She was starting to get used to the smell of blood and it began to flow into the back of her senses, rather than overpowering them. Suddenly, she was able to distinguish the scents of other cats.
--Clawstar? Thinpaw? So they had seen the dead cat already! They must be sending a patrol by now.
Still, she could not shake the unsettling feeling that something here was definitely off.

OOC: Where is everyone? :( It's kind of hard to keep it going without anyone else.

Bramblepaw jumped in surprise. She'd smelled Thinpaw, but she hadn't realized the scent was so fresh.
"Oh, hello Thinpaw. Do you have any idea what happened here? We were just patrolling the border near the wall-hedge when we heard yowling and..." She glanced nervously back at Stormpaw and twitched her tail.
Turning back to the medicine cat apprentice, she tipped her head, fearful curiosity showing in her eyes.

"You mean.. Clawstar did that?" Bramblepaw's eyes widened in shock, though she quickly shook her head. "He must've had a good reason. There shouldn't have been a rouge on our territory in the first place..." She was uncertain of what to believe. On the one paw, she was bound by the warrior code to defend her leader, and on top of that she really wanted to believe that the trust she'd felt for Clawstar since she was a kit in the nursery wasn't for nothing. However, Thinpaw was making it seem as though he'd killed the rouge in cold blood. Perhaps he'd made a mistake?

OOC: Ahah I'm not sure whether to have her side with Clawstar or Thinpaw, but if I know her she'll probably lean towards Clawstar in the beginning at least.

Bramblepaw's eyes widened with curiosity. Why did Thinpaw assume the leader would want to speak with him? And he'd sounded rather grim. However, she was distracted from her questions as Thinpaw stepped away, heading back into the forest toward camp. A new scent hit her scent glands when the medicine cat apprentice had stepped out of the slight breeze, pushing Darkpelt's scent towards her. Now why was he creeping around in the shadows?

OOC: Sorry for being inactive, I hadn't had school Thursday or Friday, but I have internet now! So I can now respond more frequently. Thanks for being patient with me!

Bramblekit • Bramblepaw • Brambleface

Name: Brambleface
Age: 14 moons
Gender: She-Cat
Rank: Warrior
Wanted Rank: Deputy
Appearance {Described}: Dark brown pelt with stripes of lighter brown and black, vivid Green eyes.
Personality {Opt.}: She tends to be rather aggressive towards cats she's unfamiliar with, though when you build a bond with her, she can be a very fun cat to be around. She is fiercely loyal to her clan, and will often go to unnecessary lengths to protect it. Never imply that she is incapable of doing something. That's a sure way to get your pelt ripped off.
She has always wanted to be deputy, and later leader of her clan. She can think of no better way to serve it than by obtaining the highest position.

History {Opt.} Born to a rouge mother and Clan father. She has purposefully avoided any information about her mother. She is deeply ashamed of her half loner roots and tries her best to pretend that she never had a mother.
Crush?: None/Tends to be uninterested in romance.
Other Relationships {Mates, kin, kits, etc.}: Father: Thistlepelt, Brother: Shadestripe.
Other: Ivy.

Name: Shadestripe
Age: 14 moons
Gender: Tom
Rank: Warrior
Wanted Rank: Warrior
Appearance {Described}: Grey with black stripes and amber eyes. He is unusually small, about the size of an apprentice. Thistlepelt thinks this is because he nearly died of cold when he was a few days old.
Personality {Opt.}: Grumpy and tends to snap and other cats. However, he can always be counted on to protect his clan. He's prone to grudges. Despite this, he's very curious and eager to learn, and will sometimes show uncharacteristic excitement at the prospect of training.
History {Opt.} Born of a grey loner she-cat named Leaf, and a father inside the clan, Thistlepelt. His father has refused to tell him much else about his past.
Crush?: None.

Thistlekit • Thistlepaw • Thistlepelt

Name: Thistlepelt
Age: 29 moons
Gender: Tom
Rank: Warrior
Wanted Rank: Warrior
Appearance {Described}: Light brown pelt, amber eyes, longer back legs, and a fluffy tai.
Personality {Opt.}: Very calm. He used to be far more aggressive but mellowed out with age. He hopes the same will happen with his kits.
History {Opt.} At 16 moons, he ran away from the clan with a loner named Leaf. She gave birth to his kits, Bramblekit and Shadekit, and then a few days later, ran off in the middle of the night, never to be seen again. He returned to the clan, only able to hope they would accept him and his young kits. He counts himself lucky to have been accepted, and his kits grew up in the clan. He is still painfully reminded of his ex-mate by Shadestripe's fur, and Brambleface's eyes.
Crush?: None
Other Relationships {Mates, kin, kits, etc.}: Daughter: Brambleface, Son: Shadepelt
Other: Ivy

As Brambleface followed Venomstar out of the camp, she pricked her ears and scanned the undergrowth, parting her jaws slightly to breath in the scents of the forest. It felt like hardly any time had passed before she found a harsh odour intruding upon her scent glands. It must be the fox! Soon after she detected it, they emerged into the clearing. Her eyes widened with wonder. She'd never properly seen a fox before, only smelled them and seen the tips of their bushy tails beyond trees outside their territory. It's stocky body seemed to be an odd mix of cat and dog, though it smelled far from either of them. Brambleface's ears flattened to the back of her skull however, when she noticed another scent underneath the putrid stink. It was milk scent... Almost immediately after she smelled it, she saw the three fox cubs peek out from behind it's mother's legs, seeming to mewl in curiosity.
The deputy's tail bushed out, unsure what to do. She turned to Venomstar, silently asking for her orders.

Brambleface nodded at Venomstar's order, and when she gave the signal, she leaped forward, aware of Owlpaw following her. She jumped towards the young fox cubs and batted them to the side of the clearing while Venomstar charged the mother. Brambleface pawed one of the cubs to Owlpaw to hold on to and pushed the two into the bushes where she pressed her paws on their chests to make sure they couldn't get away. She hadn't been ordered to kill them, but she didn't want them there to distract the mother and make her frantic.

OOC: Sure! This is a pretty good place to skip anyway. Plus, I've been wanting to move it along to leaf fall and leaf bare since it snowed here yesterday. So, since this episode, let's go ahead and say two moons have passed. The wind is starting to get harsher, pushing it's way through the trees and chilling the forest. Prey will no doubt soon be hiding in it's holes.

Two moons later, the problem with the dead loner had been pushed to the back of Bramblepaw's mind as her training continued. She didn't have time to be worrying about a cat who had no business being in their territory in the first place. Besides, Clawstar had ordered that a fresh kill pit be started, meaning that hunting patrols had been stepped up. And Bramblepaw knew from hearing the older warriors talk about it, that a leader a few generations before Clawstar had developed an extremely interesting method to keep fresh kill from rotting, and she was eager to learn it. They had told her that when the river running through the side of the territory started to freeze, warriors sectioned of areas on the edge with wide sticks and leaves. The water trapped in those small sections would freeze much faster than the entire river would, and then it would be taken out, separated from the leaves and sticks, pushed back to camp over the grass, and dumped into the pit to keep the fresh kill cold and safe to eat for longer. Bramblepaw certainly thought that this method was better than snow that cats had trampled to the ground being packed around it.

OOC: I think I'm going to add a couple more cats to the sign up thread to give Bramblepaw a bit more background and a family. I'll also be updating the sign up form. Since your cats have already been accepted, you don't need to edit your form, but if you want to go back and change it anyway to fit the new form, I'm not arguing.

I'm putting some new cats in here to fix up Bramblepaw's family, since she just kind of exists at the moment.
I'm going to completely redo Bramblepaw's thing as well since I redid the form. (Age is age as of posting)

Name: Bramblepaw (Brambleface)
Age: 8 moons
Rank: Apprentice
Desired Rank: Deputy
Gender: She-Cat
Appearance:
(Image is not totally accurate as I've changed her appearance over time and this picture is somewhat old.) Dark brown pelted with black stripes down her back, legs and tail. Dark green eyes.
Personality: Ambitious and fierce, though she's learning to control her aggression and channel it into defending her clan. She is absolutely determined to prove herself and become the best warrior in the clan. Implying that she's incapable of doing something is a sure fire way to get your pelt ripped off.
Habits: Twitches right front paw when impatient or bored.
Crush/Mate: None/Tends to be uninterested in Romance, but feel free to try.
Backstory/History: Born of Thistlepelt and a loner. She has purposefully avoided the topic and any information on it, as she's more content to pretend she is a full clan cat with only a father.
Kin: Thistlepelt: Father Shadepaw: Brother
Anything else?: nah

Name: Shadepaw (Shadestripe)
Age: 8 Moons
Rank: Apprentice
Desired Rank: Warrior
Gender: Tom
Appearance:
When he reaches warrior age, he will still be about the size he is now. Thistlepelt will theorize that this is due to the fact that he nearly died of cold when he was a kit.
Personality: Not a nice cat for the most part. He snaps easily at others and his sharp tongue makes his sister look quiet as a door mouse. However, if you can force your way past the thicket of thorns that he surrounds himself with, he can be a pleasant cat. He is more logical and careful than his sister. Very curious.
Habits: Clenches his teeth a lot, often leading to bothersome headaches.
Crush/Mate: Open/ I'm going to flat out tell you, he likes Tom cats, though he doesn't know it yet.
Backstory/History: After persistently badgering Thistlepelt, he managed to get him to tell him this much: His mother was a loner named Leaf that Thistlepelt met in the forest. When he was a new warrior, he ran off with her, thinking her the love of his life. A few moons later, she bore his kits, Bramblekit and Shadekit. Two nights after their birth, she ran off in the middle of the night, leaving them alone and defenseless in the cold as Thistlepelt did some late night hunting. When he discovered what had happened, he returned to the clan, only able to hope that they would take him back. Clawstar nearly didn't let him, but the queens would absolutely not let him turn away helpless new-born kits.
Kin: Thistlepelt: Father, Bramblepaw: Sister
Anything else?: nope

Name: Thistlepelt
Age: 27 Moons
Rank: Warrior
Desired Rank: Warrior
Gender: Tom
Appearance:
Personality: Calm and friendly. He used to be far more aggressive like his two kits, though he hopes they will mellow out with age as he did. He's always willing to help out a cat in need, and often will do as much as he possibly can, or more, in a subconscious effort to prove to his clan that he is still loyal despite his mating with a loner.
Habits: When left at rest, his mind tends to wander back to thoughts of his old mate Leaf. These memories pain him, causing him to grip the ground with his claws as though he's holding onto the dirt for dear life.
(Current) Crush/Mate: None/Still misses Leaf despite everything.
Backstory/History: When he was still an apprentice, he ran into a loner on clan territory during his near final assessment with his mentor Clawstar (Clawnose at the time.) Clawnose had encouraged him to chase the loner off, but when he would not, his warrior ceremony was held off for two moons. Since the encounter, Thistlepelt had been thinking about the loner near constantly. Her dark grey pelt and green eyes were haunting his dreams and distracting him. He eventually found her again a moon before becoming a warrior and convinced her to make a temporary living situation just outside the border beyond the sun stones. When he finally received his warrior name, he left in the night to go find her. At least four moons later, Leaf discovered that she was expecting Thistlepelt's kits. He was delighted, unable to wait to bring up his kin as warrior rouges. His plans for the future intimidated his mate more than he could tell. When the kits were born, she fed them for one night. In the middle of the second, she left the kits in the hollow tree where their nests were made, and ran away. Shadekit was knocked out of the tree however by his own sister squirming about in search of the warmth of her mother. When Thistlepelt discovered what had happened, he frantically attempted to track Leaf after making sure the kits were safe. When he determined that she did not want to be followed, he waited. He waited for about a day before the hunger of his kits drove him to return to the clan. They hadn't been weaned before Leaf had gone, leaving them without any food source. When he returned, he was shocked to find his old mentor leader of the clan. It appeared to be that the old deputy Ashenflight had died being attacked by a fox, and then, soon after, Briarstar was discovered in the stream with wounds on his head. The medicine cat had guessed that she'd tripped and hit her head on the rocks, though it did not explain the thin, claw-like scratches on her shoulders and belly.
The only reason he was excepted back into the clan with Clawstar as leader was the queens' insistence that they could not leave two defenseless kits to be rouges without a mother.
Kin: Kits- Bramblepaw and Stormpaw
Anything else?: Nope

Sorry that backstory is so long, wow.

Thistlepelt was woken by the sounds of others leaving the den. According to the light filtering in through the den entrance and a few small gaps around the sides of the walls, the sun had risen only recently. He yawned, and then carefully stood up and picked his way out of the warriors den, taking caution not to trod on Shadestripe's tail. He was by no means a morning person, and wouldn't appreciate being woken up in such a painful way. Instead, he gently brushed his tail over the grey and black-striped warrior's muzzle to wake him gently. After all, he did have an apprentice to train.
When he emerged into the clearing, he stopped and stretched, raising a long back leg into the air and curving his back. Thistlepelt straightened up and cast a bright glance around the clearing at the cats who were already awake, surprised at the number of disgruntled and uncomfortable expressions.

A loud sneeze startled Brambleface out of her slumber. It took her a moment to adjust to her surroundings after the dream she'd been having. She had been so close to catching up to that rouge...
She realized that the obtrusive noise had been caused by an irritated looking Shadestripe. Her brother was wiping his paws over his muzzle as though his whiskers were kinked. Brambleface snorted in amusement, getting out of her nest and slipping out of the den. However, she nearly ran into her father, Thistlepelt's hindquarters, as he had stopped right in front of the entrance.
"Thistlepelt! You're in the way." She mocked irritation, but no doubt he would realize the humor in her voice. It was difficult for her to be irritated in the mornings with the sun rising over the trees, slowly warming the forest. As Thistlepelt purred and stepped out of the way, Brambleface emerged and shook scraps of her nest from her fur, leaning over to groom herself.

After being so rudely awaken by whatever force had caused him to sneeze, Shadestripe crept out of the warrior's den. It wasn't difficult for him to avoid touching any other cat, seeing as he was so small. He often decided that stealth and speed were the only good things about being so small. A bad things, and a major one at that, was that he was only a little bigger than his own apprentice, and Shatteredpaw would no doubt out grow him at some point. He emerged into the clearing, sitting next to his sister and simply watching the camp. She would understand that he didn't like to speak in the morning, making her a good cat to hang out around when he'd just woken up.

OOC: Bramblepaw has no crushes but if you want to try to catch her attention, go ahead. I'm just going to give fair warning that it will not be terribly easy.
Also, I haven't quite finished my form for the new cat Thistlepelt, but I'm going to add him and Shadepaw in anyway, and finish the form right after my post.

Bramblepaw looked up at Nightpaw's call. Her ears perked up in pleasant surprise.
"Yeah! What should we do?" She gulped down the rest of the shrew she'd been eating and hopped to her paws. She was in an unusually good mood today due to the colder weather. Her thicker pelt was fluffed up against the chill breeze making it's way through the trees and into the camp. She loved the cold and couldn't wait for it to snow. Her father Thistlepelt had told her all about snow and she couldn't wait to see some of it. She knew her brother Shadepaw was far less enthusiastic however. His fur was short and dark; good for warm weather. And the cold was turning him even more grumpy than usual.

Brambleface twitched her ear to acknowledge her brother as he sat down next to her, wrapping his tail neatly around his paws and angling his ears behind him as though the noise of the camp was too much for him at the moment. She knew very well that he did not like to talk for a while at least the morning and simply sat quietly until he was ready to speak.
The brown tabby observed the camp, periodically glancing to the tree line to watch the sun's rays sparkling, ever closer to rising above the line. She looked back down again in time to see Thistlepelt getting up and walking towards the entrance to the camp. He sat down there when he reached it as though waiting for Nightfang to begin organizing patrols. He had always liked to get out on early patrols.

Finally, Shadestripe was ready to speak. He sighed as though expelling his irritation of being woken.
"Good morning Brambleface." His tail twitched. The first few words of the morning were always somewhat difficult no matter how long he waited.
"Good morning to you too, Twitchy." Shadestripe tipped his head to the side, looking as though he felt he should be offended, but wasn't sure if it was appropriate. His sister snickered.
"You were twitching like crazy in your sleep. What were you dreaming about? Chasing rabbits?"
He turned his head back towards the center of the clearing. He couldn't quite remember what he'd been dreaming about, but he was fairly sure that it did in fact have to do with chasing something, though he couldn't remember what.

Brambleface looked back up, paws still on the young foxes, trying to see what her apprentice had called her for. When she saw her leader having her throat bitten by the fox, and then Owlpaw jumping at it, she screeched, letting go of the cubs immediately and kicking them back behind her. Hopefully they would get caught in some bushes and be trapped for at least a minute or two. She jumped to the aid of Venomstar. Even if she had more than one life, they were most certainly not something to throw away. She slammed her paw down on the fox's tail, raking it with her claws. Brambleface hopped this would get it to turn around and let go. She then jumped forward a step to help Owlpaw scratch and nip at it's haunches.

Brambleface's whiskers twitched with amusement as her apprentice, Lionpaw, bounded up to her, eager to find out what she had planned for today. However, she realized she hadn't really thought much about today's training. She looked back up to the tree line and inhaled deeply. The air tasted warm, though it held the threat of growing colder as the day went on.
"I think we'll hunt for now, or at least until the prey starts hiding when it gets cold after sunhigh. If you're not too tired after that, then I have some battle moves I've been meaning to show you. How's that sound?"

Shadestripe stood, and backed up a bit from his sister and her apprentice, not wishing to intrude. He scanned the clearing until he spotted Shatteredpaw, his own apprentice. Not surprisingly, she was enjoying the company of her denmates. Shadestripe did not attempt to approach her. Not yet at least. He needed a few minutes to decide exactly what he wanted to do, and what to say to her. He envied Brambleface's calm authority when ordering Lionpaw, as he always felt as awkward as a mouse in the middle of a group of cats when he was trying to train Shatteredpaw. Being almost the same size as your apprentice was extremely inconvenient and uncomfortable.
He shook his head, flattening his ears to the back of his skull. He didn't have time to resent his size right now, he still had a duty to train another cat, and needed to decide what to do today.

OOC: Oh crap, why was Shatteredpaw limping again? I don't really want to have him say something when I don't know why, so I'll wait to respond until I know. Sorry ^-^

Brambleface nodded approvingly at Lionpaw's response and turned to head out of the camp. She opened her jaws to let the forest scents bathe her tongue. When they had walked a distance away from the camp, she detected some fresh prey scents. It took her only a moment to locate squirrel somewhere above them in the trees. There must be a nest. Mouse scent was strong under the roots of a tree about two foxlengths away. She turned quietly back to Lionpaw, deciding to test him. Perhaps there was some other scent she had missed that he would detect. "What do you smell?"
