Thanks for clearing that up Perfy XD

I used to adore creepypastas and read them a lot, but I know most of them are just nonsense made to creep you out. :P
I seem really drawn to horror for some reason.

    ANYWAY
I'll think about making her -- I may not right now, just because my muse already strains with just two characters, but I would adore the chance to play her sometime ^_^

"I would be willing to lend you one of our Medics, and perhaps some of our supplies," Vertigo commented as he approached the scene, "But as for sending our cats into battle, I'm afraid I'll have to decline. As Permafrost said, relations between us and BloodClan are very tense and we are trying to avoid another breakout of war."

There was a chance that war would be inevitable anyway; these days the cream tabby often found himself pacing cautiously along SunClan's woodland border, searching for traces of BloodClan scent, only to come up with nothing. This worried him more than an outright attack would. Were they planning something? Had they decided to dismiss the rather obvious provocation he'd left hanging from one of their trees? A ceasefire would be nice to negotiate but he knew that might not be possible after he'd fanned the flames. And it wasn't even possible to open up a line of communication when he didn't trust BloodClan enough to leave any messenger he sent unscathed.

Perhaps he would have to go himself, and bring Permafrost and Fairydust with him for good measure. If they attacked, all three cats would be more than capable of defending themselves. But all of that aside...

"Under different circumstances I would be more than willing to assist. I apologize. If there is any other way SunClan may assist you, please let me know, and I wish your Clan good luck in battle."

I have been so excited to write a post for this like you have no idea XD

and, Lu, I'm so sorry that we didn't get far in our PM one ;__; -apologizes forever-
I was just as excited about it but I was so afraid of getting someone's characterization wrong mmf
hoping it'll be easier on me now that we all have fewer characters

A fist slammed into the table. Right on cue. Japan visibly flinched at the sudden outburst -- although he realized a split second later that he should have expected it.

To no one's surprise, America had been the perpetrator of this interruption, his bespectacled face expressing something between a glare and pouting as he turned his head toward Britain. "Ugh, I can't take this! Don't we have anything better to do than talk about economics?" The man released an irritable exhale, bringing both hands up to rest against his head and screwing his eyes shut. "I swear we've gone over this before. I mean, yeah, the Gulf Coast spill was kinda bad, and the Middle East is being a bunch of dicks with their monopoly on the oil industry, but we've already been researching alternative energy for years. Do we have to keep talking about it? I'm seriously getting a headache over here."

Meanwhile the black-brunette, sitting juxtaposed to America and across from his elder neighbor China, had to suppress his audible sigh. America was typically obnoxious, but it seemed that he became even moreso when these somewhat sensitive topics arose. Japan could understand why -- current discussion aside, America was in a horrid state of debt with nothing but steady decline in the foreseeable future, and depression had a way of making him particularly abrasive -- but that didn't make it any less straining to the Asian nation's nerves. Britain was usually quick to take offense and at that point an argument was never far behind, with the other nations either trying to stop them or fanning the flames (looking at you, France) and the meeting was subsequently doomed to inevitable chaos.

But even so, before he could finish that train of thought, America's hand shot into the air. "Oh, oh! I have a better idea!"

Oh no. That couldn't be good. "America-san, Britain hasn't finished his--"

Heedless of the fact that no one gave him clearance to speak, the American went on, "I heard this crazy rumor about a haunted mansion that isn't too far from here! We should totally check it out! C'mon, it'd be way better than sitting here and listening to boring lectures!"

Vertigo was soon drawn to the familiar scent of RiverClan. Stepping forward with ears perked, he quickly recognized Rangerstar and gave the fellow leader a polite dip of the head. "Greetings, Rangerstar. I hope you're doing well?"

The cream tabby realized he had probably come here to find the remainder of his Clan, who had been sheltering in SunClan's territory since their arrival. But he didn't say so out loud and instead awaited the other tom's response. Luckily SunClan hadn't been as affected as some of the other Clans; a bad storm would have been devastating to them in their new territory along the beach.

YOU WERE IN FAKE JAPAN LU OMG I AM SO JEALOUS THAT IS NOT FAIR -rolls around-

my curiosity is getting the better of me, I wanna try it
I will log my lame thoughts and reactions here as I do so

    Featuring:
    - an obscene amount of rambling (as usual)
    - lots of deer signs
    - Chrono figuring out where she is (much quicker than expected)
    - unfortunately no sign of an airport

    Featuring:
    - screenshots this time!
    - more largely irrelevant commentary
    - lots of getting lost and being confused
    - the sad end of Chrono's journey

    DAWNY~

Aww, that's all right, we can chat later <3 get some rest~

    TANTANNNN. hewwo there, I don't think we've met but I'm a fan <3

as I'm more of a newbie blue badge, you might want to wait for someone ahem Patchtail to come along with an answer, but I'll give it a go at answering.

"Silver" is the term for the Inhibitor gene on tabbies (silver tabby, blue-silver tabby, etc.) while "smoke" is the term for the same gene on solids, so the amount of color on the hair shaft you'd find on silvers would be the same amount you find on smokes, I'd assume (<- assume being key word here).

However chinchillas are the Inhibitor gene + the "wide-band" gene, according to my research, which results in a very small percentage of the hair shaft being colored (namely, only the tip). I think that "shadeds" are the middle-ground between regular silvers / smokes and chinchillas, with shadeds having one copy of the wide-band gene and chinchillas having two copies of it, but that's just my personal conjecture / understanding.

So I hope that helps, although again I may be wrong and recommend waiting for someone who is more sure to answer your question XD

Red tabby (assumed masking black) X Dilute tortoiseshell

Males: Red tabby, Cream tabby, Black, Blue
Females: Red tabby, Cream tabby, Tortoiseshell, Dilute tortoiseshell
+ kits can have all realistic eye colors except blue.

If you can tell me what the red tabby's parents / siblings / etc. look like, I may be able to more accurately determine what he's masking, but if not, those will be the options~

    mmff I would love to assist you, but I only know cat genetics. ;__;

I do think there are some people on the site that know other animal genetics. MistyBlue comes to mind, I think she may know dog genetics and I think she has a tutoring thread somewhere in this genetics board, but I'm not 100% sure if she does or if she'll be able to help you.

There's also Ragtatter, who is well-versed in other animal genetics (and I believe is the site's only black badge geneticist owner), but I don't believe she's taking requests atm.

If you can't find MistyBlue, you may be able to ask if anyone else knows dog genetics in the help den. I'm sorry I can't be of more help. </3

Omg Patchy I saw you posted in here and was like "oh no what if I did them wrong" XD
I should probably be updating the guide with the info you gave me anyway... I'll go do that now :P

sorry for spamming your thread, Quarter, eheh

You're such a wealth of cat genetics knowledge, Patchtail. XD Your posts are so informative.

Actually, do you mind if I quote some of the snippets of things you've described to other people that I haven't made lessons for as reference at the front of this thread? (Such as your post on glitter genetics, etc.) I would give you 100% credit for it all, of course, and I understand if you'd rather me not. ^_^
