Kail relaxed slightly as the camp came into view. He felt relaxed now that the scents of his friends were all around him, as well as the scents of home. He twisted his neck slightly to check that Eagle was alrgith, and most importantly, keeping up.

Cora stalked into the shadows of camp, her muscles tense. Why was life so complicated? She plonked down on a pile of soft moss and curledup, her tail laying softly over her nose. She sighed softly, her breath stirring her white tail-fur. Slowly, as though drifting further under the surface of water, she found sleep.

Kail padded through the water of the pool, the cool liquid only reaching high enough to cover his whole paw. He breathed in the scents of the forest. He closed his eyes and inhaled more deeply, breathing in Splatter's fading scent. He stopped and looked around, then padded to the edge of the pool. He noticed the remains of chewed leaves, and detected both Splatter and Eagle's scent, stronger but still slightly faded. He sat down, thinking. Spltter was a great healer, a great friend, a great Packmate. But Kail hoped, as he always did when he woke up alone at night, that they could be something more than just friends.

Firestorm nodded, smiling, and padded down the gorge, towards the forest. She leapt over the fallen tree and waited on the other side, remembering when she was an apprentice herself, and she had to push Hawkpaw over the log. Smiling to her self, she scented the air for prey, although she didn't immediatly detect any.

Kail rolled over onto his back, relaxing. At the moment, he didn't have any cares, any worries. He let his form shift into shadows, rolling around on the sun-baked earth. It warmed his back, and his fur felt soft as it flattened the grass.

History

As an apprentice, Firestorm was named Squirrelpaw. She was, as she is now and always will be, mischievious. She decided to have a bit of fun by slipping away from a patrol she had been put on, and she did not have to go far before finding trouble. She encountered a fire; one blazing through the forest like a tsunami of orange water. She was soon surrounded and was forced to leap over the fire, causing her an injury to her hind paw. As she seemed to be frozen in mid-air, the world of reality came crashing down on her. She raced back to camp, ignoring the pain, and alerted her clan just in time, although her mother was lost in the fire. She was granted the warrior name of Firestorm in honour of her self-sacrifice and bravery. She earned her wings in this way.

Firestorm is able to perform flashes of sparks or fire. She can, if extremly annoyed or angry, turn her pelt to a blazing fire, her fur burning until she wishes for it to stop. She can, if extremely angry or furious, summon a wall of fire. The theory is that when she escaped the fire [in her history] that she gained and idea/gained power from the wall of fire. These powers are useful for cold climates, or just for scaring cats she doesn't like ^^

Kail looked at her and moved slightly closer, his fur only just brushing Splatter's pelt. He let out a quiet bark of laughter as she let out a yawn. "You look tired." He commented, realising that she seemed to be half-dead on her paws. "Lie down, I'll catch something for you to eat." He offered, although before he got an answer, he got up and padded through the tall grass. He raised his muzzle and tasted the air, although after nothing exciting came to him, he continued into the forest.
