Dawn kept looking back over and over, seeing if a miracle would happen, maybe he would hear the pack and show up. She gave a howl of longing, looked back once more, then gave a long heavy sigh.

The sound of morning birds wakes me up with a start, and I see Blaze still sleeping next to me. It feels nice to have a friend, and maybe one day, more than a friend. I would like to see how far this relationship goes, I mean, after all, we saved each other. One day when I have pups, I would be the happiest wolf on earth. One of them at least. I want them to have siblings, a few girls a few boys. And for them to learn the importance of surviving on your own and relying on others, hunting, herbs, patrolling,leading, all of the skills they will need.

Can she be a hunter? Cause I don't think we will need to use warriors that much so I am pretty much deleting that option, sorry I didn't post, in fact, I will do it right now.

He smiled, it felt right to be with her but….. He wanted Dawn. He wondered how the pack was doing, were they mentoring the pups? going for a hunt? He needed to focus on what was happening now in his life though, not Dawns. "Hi Mieara." He got to his feet. "Ready for a hunt?" He asked. Mieara nodded. "Oh yes! I need to get some energy running through me." She replied. Blaze started out into the forest with Mieara by his side. She stopped. "Hear that?" There was a ruffle in the bushes.They crouched and slowly approached, and a fluffy grey tail poked out. A rabbit. They both thought and looked at eachother, they nodded. Mieara mouthed 1….2…….THREE! they pounced from both directions but it wiggled out of their paws.

Dawn didn't bother moving out of the way, she was too depressed to do anything. She didn't hear what he said, she was in her own little world right now. She kept walking and imagined Blaze being here with her, they would joke around, hunt, and watch the adorable pups play.

Mieara frowned "It got away." Blaze nodded "We should try harder next time." They continued on.

Maria Anne was still in collage, she was training to become a veterinarian, and had 2 more years before she got her degree. She woke up to her alarm clock going off, and when she checked it, it said saturday. She didn't have school saturdays. And now it was 6 o' clock and she was wide awake. So she got up, got dressed, and out the door to her Animal Shelter. She hated leaving the dogs and cats for more than 10 hours at a time but some times she would have too, but today she could be with them all day.

Maria Anne slid the key into the shelters door,looking up at her lime green sign against the white wood that said in big bold lime letters 'Maria An' I Pet Shelter' and when stepped in she immediately heard barks and mews. She turned on the light and inside was her normal lines of dog,car food, animal beds, toys, and some letterboxes., and she looked upstairs and her 3 cats looked down as if smiling. When she stepped outside the dogs were scampering around like maniacs, she always laughed at that.She opened the gate and wen to look at Maggie, her cousin had named her that because it sounded pretty, her cousins name was Kate and Maggie was her favorite dog. Maggie was pregnant and soon she would have her pups, so everyday Maria or her co-worker Natalie would look at her everyday,every hour. Maggie was a smooth coated collie. She wagged her tail at Maria. "How you doing girl?" Maria asked kneeling down in front of Maggie's whelping box. "Almost time?Yeah?" Maggie flapped her tail against the box hard. She smiled.
