    There had been a lot going on today, or at least more than usual, so as Ve came to the border, she couldn't help but smile. They had had a lot more joiners recently, Kami, Rose, King to an extent (since he'd already live here before), and now Bless. Hopefully they'd all stay and have a great time. StormClan... wait, wasn't that a frontboard? The young queen had been told stories of all the different clans when she'd been little, just a few days old, but then her mother had to go and commit suicide, so she couldn't hear her stories anymore. StormClan had been 'one of the big clans that changed it's name a lot before sticking with StormClan'. She remembered always asking her mother why, and the answer she'd gotten was a chuckle and an 'i don't know little one, i guess they were like me'. Her mother had changed her name a lot too, so that's what she'd meant with that.
    [b]"An alliance sounds great. Thank you for the gifts."     the kitsune said, smiling. If Frenchie thought this clan would be a good ally, then she'd agree with her. She had no reason not to.

The young queen wasn't at all prepared for this, but perhaps if Rose kept running the human would eventually stop? No, there ought to be a way faster than that. An idea lit up in the kitsune's head, and she ran to catch up with the two. [b]"This way!" she called, taking a path where the undergrowth was denser. That ought to slow the human at least a little bit. There were plenty of trees with low branches too, so maybe they would slow down the twoleg as well. "Can you climb?" the queen asked, gesturing to the trees. They could probably hide in one and catch their breath at least. And if not, they were still far enough away from the mansion. There was bound to be an old fox den or a badger's set that they could hide in.

She never had to worry about anyone misbehaving, and to be honest, it would look pretty silly for a child to be scolding someone quite a bit older than herself. Watching all the smiling faces around her, Ve was almost certain that day would never come. As Stan started, taking a stroll Lovelykit wondered if she should follow. She was leader after all, no matter how strange that was. [b]"Of course! Would you like me to show you the way?" the adolescent kitsune offered, catching up to the traveler.

    Still, she wanted to try it out. The kitsune watched Frenchie's attempt with interest, trying to figure out how it worked. You had to be careful with your own shadow, and the fish's shadow could be seen before the fish, or so it seemed. Oh, this seemed complicated. The queen wasn't even sure if she could catch a single one.

Rose was tired, and her little legs weren't kicking as fast as they had before either. She knew this territory pretty well, as they'd lived here a while, but it was hard to tell what was going on around you when you were being chased by a human.
    The queen had an idea, one that might make this frantic sprint a little more fruitful, so it seemed like it'd be worth a try. [b]"This might look dumb, but I know what I'm doing."     the kitsune said loudly as to be heard, smiling. Almost right as she finished, the mythical fox transformed into a blind calico kitten. She hadn't been in her birth body in a while, nor had she ever shapeshifted while she was awake and running, but in this form she could feel the ground better. Her sight and speech were gone, as she'd been brutally tortured once, but at least it enhanced her other senses [i]Old badger set just up ahead and to the left. the kitten sent via telepathy, turning in that direction, but careful not to run into anything. The tunnel was straight ahead and it took a slight turn before opening up into a big room. There was nothing inside that could threaten them, and the human couldn't get in either.

The more the merrier." Ve said with a grin. There was still plenty of food around, and no one was going hungry as far as the queen knew, so it would be fine for Kakima to finish hunting early. Besides, it was fun showing new people around, and telling someone they couldn't join in would ruin their friendly atmosphere, not that the queen would have refused.

That meant it was time to ask for another alliance. Usually everyone was skeptical about a leader that still carried the 'kit' suffix, but this was her second leadership, so Lovelykit was pretty sure she knew what she was doing. Besides, the clan was doing better than it ever had, at least during her time there, so there's that too. Besides, she was practically an apprentice now, she just hadn't gotten around to changin her name yet.
    There was also another reason she was here, a certain someone here who was the kitten friend. She wasn't sure why she'd gone back to her damaged birth body for this, perhaps so that Starjelly would recognize her, or perhaps to show that she wasn't some naive little kid who didn't know what they were doing. She'd been tortured by the Cartel, nuff said. "Hello, I'm here to speak about an alliance. My name is Lovelykit and I'm the leader of PalisadeClan." It was still kind of weird that Athena had stepped down, leaving Ve as the only leader, but that's what the robotic owl had wanted.

Real life had just kidnapped the whole clan, hadn't it? Hopefully they'd all start coming back now. Lovelykit stood in the room that was usually used for meetings, taking a deep breath of chilly air before she spoke. "PalisadeClan, please gather for a meeting!"
    "Happy December everyone, Christmas is almost here, so you all be good now! Thanksgiving week has given us a wonderful burst of activity, but this last week wasn't so great. We're not the only clan who had a hard time with that, but let's all do our best in these next few weeks. I know a lot of you are studying for exams, and I wish you good luck with those, but pop in here every once in a while so your brains don't explode!"
    "Because it's almost Christmas, I'd like to hold a Christmas party with our allies. It'll either be a White Elephant gift exchange or a Secret Santa kind of thing, so post your opinions on the thread discussing that! Also, on the subject of allies, Ambassadors don't forget to visit your clans, Kakima's done a great job reminding you guys, and I think the program's doing a great job."
