Decastone always felt hungry though she and rainstorm had on,y been mates for a couple of days she thought she was expecting kits. She waited in the med den while she waited for peagususpaw she ate a mouse hungrily.

Decastone purred more and padded to her mate Rainshadow nuzzling him she told hint she was having kits.
He looked at her and smiled. Rainshadow padded out on a patrol to find the fox with Decastone
When they smelled the reek of fox they looked around but didn't see anything. Out of knowhere it jumped onto Rainshadow and bit him in the throught. Decastone saw his body go limp and she shrieked. She clawed the fox's face and it snarled at her and stalked back. She ran over to Rainshadow and saw blood gushing out of his wound. He wasn't breathing. She panicked and dragged his body back to camp and put it infront of peagususpaw. Screaming at him or her idk to help her mate

Griffinstar heard all the commotion in the med den and smelled blood. He entered the den and saw Decastone sobbing over her mate Rainshadow who was lying on the floor.....dead

Blizzard padded out of camp to see what was going on about the battle situation. When she saw it was over she shrugged and headed for a walk.

Decastone wailed out. Griffinstar stared in silence "we'll have a vigil for him tonight. And Decastone why would you go out to hunt a fox while expecting" he asked
Decastone just wailed back to sad with grief to talk she licked her mates fur and cleaned off some of the blood.

Decastone was sad that Rainshadow would never get to see his kits she needed someone to comfort her.
Griffinstar padded up to her and put his tail on her back letting her lean against him. (He didn't like her just helping her) she sobbed as she looked at her former mate and whispered goodbye -

Griffinstar dragged Rainshadow's body out for tonight's vigil.
Meanwhile Decastone talked to FrostWind " I'm expecting kits and Rainshadow will never see them" she sobbed tears streaming down her face as she grieved. "Is it ok if I sleep in the med den for awhile graymakin?" She asks
