Standing where he hoped a lot of people would notice, he shouted, "ANYONE WANT TO LOOK FOR STUFF? ...No, sorry, that sounded weird. BASICALLY IT'S A SCAVENGER HUNT!"
Basil had even made a list and everything, even, and made copies enough for everyone who wanted to participate to have one. They were in a pile next to him. The one on top read:

-The roundest pebble you can find

-Which basically means just find a twig

That was actually really helpful.
He tried to draw a feather-flake. It was sort of squashed, but he still was fond of it. Then he started to cut it out with his claws. Which worked even worse, but at least he was actually making a snowflake instead of making no snowflake.

"CASTLE EMERGEN- Hold it, where's the dragon-bear?" the ghost panda asked as he exploded out of the front doors in alarm to see seemingly nothing wrong. There was noting attacking the castle. "Is it invisible? Are you okay?"

The red panda sprang at the bear, and swung his feather sword at it in an attempt to do... something? At least get it away from Mist. (He'd actually remembered Saito's feather sword this time. Maybe he'd actually be useful! Maybe he'd save the day!)

My gosh, this was terrifying. (But he was a ghost - he figured he couldn't die again, or at least that's what some books said, so he had to keep going) Since Peter (thank goodness he'd come to help) was attacking one side of the bear, Basil hurried towards the other side and clumsily swung his sword again, as maybe a distraction or an actual attack (he hadn't really figured that part out yet).
