The Alpha nodded to Arianna, fine with with shady spot while the party did whatever it did. There weren't too many people, so the dark wolf didn't feel obliged to interact with anyone. Instead, he'd act as a supervisor since obviously every good party had adult supervision. Right?

    [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 400px; ][justify]
"If you want to throw a human party, you can plan it on your own time. I'm not prepared to adopt the customs of the intruders than nearly drove us out of our home."
Snapped Terra, slightly harsher than he originally intended, but... he was not a fan of celebrating the things humans did right after they were attacked by them. Besides, they had just had a party, and the Alpha needed a break.

[b]"We can see if our ally wants to attend the Budding, but I won't endorse a human holiday. You're on your own with that."

This one would be shorter, more important. The howl that called for a gathering came from a tired looking Alpha, who then gathered his words right away to get this done and over with quickly. He had other tasks to focus on, other people to worry about.

"NOXIANS! I will be changing my name to Terramoon in accordance to tradition. Silversilk is no longer Zeta, and in her place I would like to promote Arienpad. Your Scouthood is still important, but consider it a reward and a challenge for you to prove your abilities. This next while, I want us to embrace our traditions and remember that among all these strangers, clans, and groups, we are unique."

That was it, and the Alpha was gone.

    [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 400px; ][justify]
    "Name and business."

Demanded Terra, stress worn on his hardened expression. He had no patience today, no ability to empathize with strangers like this one. Still, the dark wolf huffed a sigh, sitting down and focusing on the stranger with the usual scrutinization he awarded everyone who came across their borders.

    [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 400px; ][justify]
"She's around here, last I checked."
Celyn- she was one of the members that Terra took a liking to. Independent and able to work alone but able to integrate into a group as well- flexibility was a great asset in a pack. Still, that didn't explain all of why he was here, but the feline seemed amicable enough to be tolerated in Terra's time of impatience.

    [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 400px; ][justify]
Terra shrugged, not really minding the stay of the feline. The cancer stick made him tilt his head curiously, since he had no clue what that was. Still, he managed a basic reply based on what he already knew.
[b]"Don't even know what a cancer stick is- if it's a human thing, there might be some in the valley, we just drove the idjits out."

    [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 400px; ][justify]
The Alpha shook his head again, looking at the feline as though he were some strange specimen in these lands. He was, to an extent, and Terra kept his face steady as he found the words to reply. His dark gaze focused down on the newcomer, and he spoke in his rumbling tone about something he knew very well to be true.
[b]"I can't read- never had much opportunity to, we were rather secluded when I grew up."

    [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 400px; ][justify]
Terra nodded along with Cy's suggestion and spoke to her in a much calmer tone, as he tried to repress the initial outrage he had felt at the mention of a human party. The dark wolf narrowed his eyes and spoke stiffly, rolling out his sore shoulders to try and get away the feeling.
[b]"A class before the Budding would be nice- the sooner the better."

    [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 400px; ][justify]
And sure, maybe a few members still held onto hold beliefs, but there had been a change in the code thanks to the aid given to them by felines and canines alike. Still, Terra offered a grin, realizing he really should've introduced himself. He was not great at social interaction.
[b]"Terramoon- I... definitely prefer Terra. Do you have any questions about the Nox."

    [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 400px; ][justify]
It was then that Terra dashed forwards, frightening the rabbit to run straight in the direction of his hunting partner. It was the ground rushing beneath his paws, the regular thump-thump-thump that made him forget about the stress that wore him down these days. It was the air buffeting his face, blowing back his heavy dark fur, that expanded his lungs and made him feel right.

He didn't think much about what he was doing- he wasn't exactly the deepest of thinkers. He knew what he felt though, and he felt comfortable with hunting here, working seamlessly with Arianna. The nearly black eyes of the wolf flicked from the inbound rabbit to the wolf the prey was dashing to.

    [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 400px; ][justify]
Huh, that was an unusual scent for the Nox.

Terra found himself tracking down the strange scent, which eventually brought the dark wolf to stand before a... basket? Beside the basket lay a torn up kitten, and the wolf's heart felt a little bit for the creature. It was small, compared to the massive canine, and he hovered his nose over it to see if the creature was alive, and deciding it was, the wolf spoke.
    [b]"Are you awake, little one?"

    [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 400px; ][justify]
"Attend what? We haven't started anything."
Terra grumbled, since they were still in the pre-planning stages. The dark wolf huffed, impatient today- yeah, Terra was being an *hole. Whoops.

    [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 400px; ][justify]
Ah, so someone had purposefully hurt the kid. That more or less pissed Terra off, and he gave an angry huff before lowering his snout to hover beside the kitten. He may have been a big brute, but there was no desire to hurt the child, only help.
    [b]"I ain't gonna hurt y'kid, we're here t'help. Y'got a name?"

    [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 400px; ][justify]
    "Wrong territory."
Terra growled, fur bristling a little as this stranger mistook their mountains and valley for some clanner's home. The massive wolf shook out his fur, and gestured in the opposite direction of camp.
[b]"If you have no business with the Nox, feel free to go find your Tidalclanners."

    [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 400px; ][justify]
    "If y'want to. We ain't a clan though- we're a pack."
Terra explained in a less angry tone, calming once he realized the stranger wasn't a threat. He probably had to work on his polite greetings and patience when meeting people on the border. Oh well, he wasn't known for his social skills anyways.

    [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 400px; ][justify]
    "Alright kid- where y'hurt?"

Terra asked, assuming the child was, indeed, injured. The appearance suggested such a thing, and the wolf figured that some healing would be required, not that that was his strong suite at all. Someone else would definitely have to help up.

    [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 400px; ][justify]
And in response to the catch, Terra was grinning. He let his tail wag a little behind him, and for a moment he managed to feel a little bit lighter. This was nice, and though he wasn't very introspective, he recognized the link between hunting with Arianna and feeling a little better. He didn't read too much into the emotion, though he was curious about the wolf herself. Gesturing for her to follow along, he began to walk slowly in the general direction of camp.

    "Good catch."
He offered, unsure of how to continue a conversation.
