Slipping over quietly, the cheetah came with only the intention of watching what happened, hoping to speak not a word.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 315px; height: auto; margin-top: -15px;][hr][justify][color=#d2d2d2]ic; The bastard's eyes widened and Shireen tentatively stepped forward, lowering her head and hunching her shoulders as she did so. It seemed her powers were going haywire with fear, flooding her senses with nothing but anxiety, and she had yet to detect it. It laid hidden within her subconscious, growing steadily. And it showed to everyone but herself.

Still, she managed a grin, dipping her head. "S-sorry."

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 315px; height: auto; margin-top: -15px;][hr][justify][color=#d2d2d2]ic; If anything, she was glad this dragon offered to take her on a tour over anyone else. She seemed kind and patient with the new fear that Shireen had implanted within herself, which almost proved to calm her nerves, soothe the worries she had over her secrets and the constant watchful eye she felt on her back.

At the dragon's question, she let out a soft sigh, biting her lip. She'd constructed this story on her way to Westeros, another added layer of cover, a lie to keep her safe. It twisted her gut to say it, but Shireen murmured, "Yes, I was. My mother took me at a very young age to be a loner, though." A sudden urge to change the topic consumed her, and Shireen hunched her shoulders. "Were you?"

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 315px; height: auto; margin-top: -15px;][hr][justify][color=#d2d2d2]ic; Shireen was in no mood to fight. Octavian had bested her in combat and she payed the price through the loss of one of her lives, yet stubbornly the cheetah still refused to hone her skills once more, fearful that somehow he would sense her incapability from afar, find her, prey on her. If she showed prowess with fighting then he would come; she had moves that were hard to unlearn, unique to her, much like writing or speaking. Wherever she went, Shireen would leave traces of herself, no matter how hard she tried.

"Watching... if nobody minds," she said quietly, eyes focused downward.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 315px; height: auto; margin-top: -15px;][hr][justify][color=#d2d2d2]ic; First night: she'd cried herself to sleep in the solitude of her own room, tears soaking through her fur and dripping pitifully onto the ground. Shireen managed to hold in her grief through the whole day but once she was alone, it spilled over her walls and she sobbed freely, her voice high and mournful. She saw it coming, knew it was going to happen, yet the cheetah still let herself be affected by Octavian's betrayal. She should have shaken it off, showed him that she had the strength to face him, but it seemed impossible. Her brother had bested her in combat and threw her body into a sacrificial fire to die, and yet he hadn't bat an eyelid. Only wore his light, hard, cold smirk and stared passed her charred flesh, as if looking through her, towards his goal of obtaining power, a stance in society.

    -

This morning was tamer in comparison, though sorrow continued to chase after her, a darkening cloud in the back of her mind. But for now the sun shone quite brightly and Shireen allowed herself to sigh, rising to her paws. The serenity of early morn in Casterly Rock was admirable, and she couldn't help but soak in the peacefulness of the dew that clung to the grass, or the fog that hung low while the sun's radiant beams pierced it as a sword. For now, the cheetah would merely shut her eyes and inhale, hoping for at least a few moments of quiet. She knew it would be broken, however; members of all groups had a tendency to flock towards others, so it wouldn't be long before she was forced to be social once more.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 315px; height: auto; margin-top: -15px;][hr][justify][color=#d2d2d2]ic; They were without an heir? Shireen frowned at the thought, but nodded quickly along with the crowd, hoping to blend in further than she already had. The frayed individual found it reassuring, she supposed, that the House Stark - or any other house, for that matter - would have a reliable second in command to take over once death reached the individual. It always did.

Shireen sighed to herself and nodded, watching the warden carefully.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 315px; height: auto; margin-top: -15px;][hr][justify][color=#d2d2d2]ic; So it seemed the Lannisters had an heir as well. That was good; Shireen wished not to see her house crumble from a lack of filled social rank system. Death was everywhere nowadays, and if something were to happen, she wouldn't want her house to flounder. It left an opportunity for other houses to take control, and as the richest family by far, Shireen didn't want to relinquish the power that she had. It was one of the only securities she felt in Westeros, being in a largely populated and influential group.

"Congratulations," Shireen murmured in custom, dipping her head.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 315px; height: auto; margin-top: -15px;][hr][justify][color=#d2d2d2]ic; She had never heard of this house before. With a curious frown, Shireen lightly stepped over, staying in the back of the gathered group of people as she peeked between bodies and looked over heads to see what was going on. House... Tyrell? Perhaps it was new. Either way, the cheetah nodded, ears perked to listen. Politics in this land were strange and fickle, and she needed to absorb every scrap of knowledge if she wished to successfully survive here.

Sighing softly to herself, the fugitive tried her best to ignore the sinking feeling in her stomach and joined the small group of two, casting her gaze downward.

Surprise was evident on her expression as Strider asked her to fight, and the cheetah momentarily froze before nodding her head quickly, eyes widening. "Y-yes, of course," she stammered, drawing in a deep breath. Just a spar, nothing more. This person wouldn't try to harm her.

Keeping her claws concealed (if cheetahs could do that, fireworks didn't know), Shireen hunched over and began to charge at Strider, hoping to tackle his shoulder.

[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 315px; height: auto; margin-top: -15px;][hr][justify][color=#d2d2d2]ic; "Sometimes they have a greater meaning, I suppose," Shireen put in quietly as she, too, made her way over to the commotion. The corpse bothered her deeply but she stubbornly refused to acknowledge it, twisting her head the opposite way, to look at Oberyn. She had never thought about it before, but maybe shape-shifting was indeed a symbol of something important; bodies, after all, reflected the soul. She took the form of a cheetah unconsciously, and even when she was merely a cat, it was spotted and had the same blemishes as the large wildcat. Could her spots have meant something? Faults on an otherwise perfect pelt? She frowned at the thought - Shireen would have to decipher her own shape-shifting later, in privacy, when she could think.

"It all depends on what you think," she stated finally.

Seeing the bond between each spouse towards the other forced her to remember her own wish for a wife, and the harsh truth that she couldn't get close to anyone if she wanted to stay hidden. Love just... complicated things, in the end.

The cheetah stood to the side quickly, as usual, biting her lip. Dances weren't her thing, nor were parties, but it seemed this one was clan-wide.
