aetherpaw, the golden torbie, was flying above the clouds, which was rather easy on the mountain. it was his comfort zone. he had a new god now, and that was zeus. he was a cool guy, and he gifted aether with the gift of wings a while back. however, today the winds were quite rough. as he came in for a crash landing onto a hill, he felt his body morph, morph into a flightless bird. sliding on his stomach down the hill, he looked up his muddy tracks. it must have began to pour rain a minute before he landed, so he was relatively safe after landing. however, his stomach was all muddy. now, he'd have to get back up the mountain, so he began to waddle towards it, before jumping up the mountain. it was the easiest way to do so.

he figured something was off when he felt pain on his cheeks. he really did. the strips of gills he had weren't noticed by the male, until he was underwater, getting used to this body while exploring shimmer lake. how he noticed? the emperor penguin realized he wasn't running out of breath. finding a shiny shell on the bottom of the lake, he saw two gashes on each of his cheeks, and figured they were a random mutation, as were lots showing up. he didn't mind though. it was fun to have mutations.
