ALL MY BODY EXPOSED: MARKED UP BY YOUR SHADOWS —— HOVER —— OUTFIT

    "Don't laugh at me,"

Having heard the girl's request, Hisoka's lips parted just slightly to reveal his teeth with wonder. An observant one she was, as blatant in how she read the mostly indecipherable expression that often conflicted with his words. The ginger's own words were being stuttered over like a rabbit in the presence of a wolf. Perhaps he was one: so intently searching for his prey. But not this one... not quite yet. The rabbit—Yuchino—hadn't yet gotten her flesh so tender as he desired. There was visibly a ways to go, though a wait as long as the one he predicted would be worth it, should it mean sinking his fangs into his ideal form for her. Painfully small and thin she was, helplessly trembling as her olive optics gazed into his own golden ones. Trembling from the snow most certainly, Hisoka had assumed, for she had no reason to fear him. Not yet, that is. Unless she should tempt him, he wouldn't show it to her, although there was something about her demeanor that made him desperately want to. "You can't. [♤]"

    And he didn't.

Instead he opted to extend a hand to her as though urging her to grab it, although the other hand remained placed atop its respectful hip. Unbeknownst to her and lest she had moved, a pink strand of aura stretches from his forefinger and tacks itself onto her right cheek so—should she attempt to escape his presence, [she] would be unsuccessful in doing so. Should she have instead moved before his Bungee Gum successfully lands, it would have slightly missed and planted its end into the frosted terrain just behind her, although would instantly be retracted and dispersed consequently. Regardless of the mostly trivial matters, Hisoka silently offers to hoist her up from the frigid land. Certainly, she wouldn't refuse such a seemingly amicable gesture. He was hardly seen through even the most perceptive, and so he didn't expect much from a girl that was so pitiful to gaze upon.

The girl kept mentioning 'Giffany', and it was more than piquing the man's curiosity. A hum reflected this, and he proposes another offer of sorts. "Describe this Giffany to me, and perhaps I can help you find them. [♧]" He expectantly keeps his hand outstretched to the short girl. "You just narrowly missed a large mass of people, and Giffany could have been amongst them. How sad.. [♤]" The statement has a mocking undertone, yet he found that it should be tempting to the girl. "Ah, [♧]" He sounds as though he's just recalled to mention something, and anyone who would have made that assumption upon hearing him would have been correct as proven by the following words. "I don't believe I caught your name, little girl. [♡]" He indirectly asks the younger to introduce herself. He falls into a crouch and, feeling fond of the girl's naive nature, cups her chin in the hand he had formerly been extending. He was being particularly conscious of his strength in doing so as to not scare her away, and to avoid losing his opportunity by extension.

Should she have allowed him to do so, he would have stared into the dull eyes and would have attempted to make her do the same with his own [eyes].

    {OOC: I wasn't sure if Palutena's voice could be heard by everybody, so I failed to mention it IC. If her voice can be heard, I'll be sure to mention it in my next post!}

    Tracking!

Because Bulldozer is so different than Lain's own father, I think she'd be mildly flattered by his protection over her, but still a bit stunned about it also.

Hisoka is definitely an unsettling person in terms of appearance and the overall aura he gives off, but I think Lain would feel unnerved by his presence alone.

Lain would probably attempt to be friends with Nanome to the best of her potential (extra emphasis on that due to her antisocial nature). Hisoka might also be fond of Nanome, ahaha! He'd probably also be indifferent to Bulldozer's disliking of him, and might even be fond of [Bulldozer].

How will the thread start off?

I will post on the thread ASAP! Sorry for not having gotten to this earlier, I've been a bit busy

EDIT: I posted on the RP thread! I left out Hisoka's portion just because the timing didn't feel right, so I'll hold off on his introduction for a little bit longer.

Here is Lain's outfit: click for the sweater (the only full shot i could find of this, though she does wear it a lot throughout. i'll have to gif or cap it later), and click for her nightgown

"The physical body exists at a less evolved plane only to verify one's existence in the universe."

Upon having heard such ominous words, fear had managed to crawl into Lain's veins and causing her nerves to become rattled by extension: as though someone had begun to pluck on them. The words echoed amidst even the girl's subtlest thoughts, like the crooning voice of her distant mother sought to mock her. "Mama," Lain mumbles aloud, although her mother fails to be present. The former stares blankly at her NAVI's flickering screen, her head slightly leaning to the left and threatening to cause her body to topple. "What did you mean..?" Comes the girl's voice: amber brown eyes empty as though in a trance. Although bearing a completely deadpan expression, she sounds sorrowful and deep in thought. The heat from her monitor is the only thing to embrace her in her state of sheer confusion and mild uncertainty. NAVI's lights entrance Lain until she sees naught but darkness, and feels both tranquility and solitude. Even in such a state, the white of the screen stain her eyelids: having imprinted its radiance into her retinas. Tension has been freed, and the chaos that had slipped into her life escaped for that empty time of silence. The Wired didn't exist, her family didn't exist, Arisu, Reika, Juri.... None of them existed. None of them mattered. Neither did she: Iwakura Lain, who threatened to disrupt the remnants of balance in her life by the Wired. Momentarily, everything she had done failed to exist. Only one remaining phrase floated about her otherwise empty thoughts.

"If you don't remember something, it never happened... It never existed. Why can't I forget it?"

It's then that a warm, orange-toned light settles upon the outs of her eyelids and lets her see orange through closed eyes. She groans lightly as she attempts to pry them open, though sleep's dust had perched itself upon the line of each lid. Beneath her frame is something that cradles her, though it doesn't feel like her bed. Forcing those large eyes open, Lain looks beneath her own self. "Hmm..?" She ponders allowed inquisitively. "Where am I?" She asks herself silently, looking about her surroundings. Her surroundings were bright, they were peaceful, they were.... beautiful. Cradling a bed of sunkissed flowers were small but plentiful blades of rich green grass. Lain herself adorned a large and oversized sweater of pastel yellow, and beneath it was a spaghetti strapped nightgown of white silk that functioned as her undergarments. "This isn't the Wired.." Comes her girlish voice in a mumble as she grasps at the hems of her long sleeves. She at last decides to turn her head in order to acknowledge the other. "W-Wah!" She exclaims with shock, her eyes widening and eyebrows elevating at the intimidating sight of a skull-imprinted visor that conceals the identity of its wearer. "Who are you?" She manages to speak to the man who held her. The thought of practically being forced to interact with a stranger given the current circumstances so soon causes anxiety to run rampant within the bouts of her intestinal lining. Stomach acid begins to kick at its captor, and causes Lain to momentarily purse her lips.

"Where am I?" She asks aloud this time, as though hoping he or someone else would have the answer. She rotates her head to look about the settings further, noticing her red children's NAVI having landed just tens of centimeters astray from the flower pile. "My NAVI!" She exclaims, making a futile attempt to extend her arm as though a close enough distance to grab it. Upon the realization settling in that she's too far a distance, she meekly raises her shoulders as tension grows to laden them. She feels embarrassed, having thought in such a puerile manner in front of a stranger: such a feat being reflected in how she slowly retracts her hand and allows her gaze to fall to her own lap. The melancholic expression is quickly broken by its replacement of shock as a man begins to yell, garnering the girl to flinch and look to him with widen eyes. "He's... scary," Lain mentally notes, taking his stature and physique into account. His hair is of chestnut brown and spiked, yet not unkempt. His eyes are somewhat narrow and of aquamarine; expressive as he yells out threats, which Lain responds to by worriedly knitting her eyebrows together (although she does so for only a moment). Clearly intimidated by Joseph, the arms of the masked man that had once seemed so scary suddenly became her source of mild comfort and solace.

Gulping thickly, Lain at last gathers the remnants of her courage to respond. "I.. I don't know where I am, either." Her voice is thin and demure, and she exchanges eye contact with Joseph for no longer than a moment: her eyes quickly falling to her own lap.

Across the world has a serial killer begun to wreak havoc. Well, perhaps worlds would be more fitting of a word. The most dangerous thing about this killer, beyond their murderous habit, is that they've figured out how to travel across worlds: the multiverse. Several affiliates with a multitude of victims must band together to prevent this killer from further leaving chaos in his wake.

    Rules

    - Be able to write a solid paragraph with content for others to reply to.

    - Hate the character not the RPer. Any OOC drama is not to be on the public threads nor IC. Go into PMs and sort things out.

    - OCs are permitted, but they cannot be using the complete personality of another character and hardly changing their appearance.

    - No power-playing or mary-sues: ask before attacking someone's character.

    - Plotting amongst all members is highly encouraged. If someone is being left out, this will be enforced.

    - Side plots are encouraged (so long as it doesn't completely detour from the main plot), but ask about any major plots that will impact the thread otherwise.

    - jumpsuit. and I have both worked on this plot, and he has the same amount of power I do. He can accept and deny forms at his own will, and enforce or add rules.

    - Have fun!(:

    "Speech."

This thread is reserved for those who have signed up to the BESIEGED sign up thread. This nor the roleplay thread are nor will be jump-ins.

Here it is! Enough people signed up for me to make a plotting thread.

Firstly, Jump and I were thinking about how all of the characters would be brought to one universe, and we thought that maybe the characters see at least their escape through the portal that carries him throughout the universes (given that they've been murdering those affiliated with the characters and the [characters] have been trying to catch him). Though, we thought it'd be appropriate to ask for your ideas and input as well. We were thinking that maybe the central universe could be Detroit, given that it's particularly skilled in crime-solving and is advanced in technology.

As for the characters, I'm also willing to discuss their opinions on one another and how they well or poorly they'll get along!

I'm personally not really okay with what's going on there. That would mean the killer is centuries of years old which wouldn't really make sense unless he was some sort of immortal or supernatural, which wasn't what Jump or I were going for.

Maybe it would be better if Calamity's killer was a relative/distant relative of the current killer, and now she seeks to take the latter down due to what happened to her?

I'll accept that because if he's going to different universes without the consequences of time and space affecting him, then I guess it makes sense that he could go into the late 1800s and 1900s without aging due to time accelerating at different speeds in each universe?

It would explain how he'd be able to universe skip so quickly and have our characters tail him too, I guess.

Vanderlil About what you posted on the sign up thread, have as many characters as you can handle! Don't feel obliged to have 2 characters either. (^◇^)

As for the portal-black-hole correlation, it is a bit similar (at least according to my shitty understand of the sciences)! In the real world, our subatomic cells would need to be extremely compressed to carry our entirety from one area to the other. For imagery, I'd imagine a lot of little pixels composing our body. It would have to carry all of our cells from one opening to the other in hundreds of thousands of a second (likely around the speed of light), given that it is more or less a vacuum.

In reference of portals, I think it sounds less scary if you think of it that way! It makes me wonder if--since it essentially functions similarly--the black hole could have an exit somewhere that its inhabitants are carried to, lol. The similarities between the portal and black hole increase if it's one of those portals that sort of suck its surroundings in (as typically seen in sci-fi media, but also sometimes used as a crutch for comedy).

I probably didn't convey my thoughts in the way that I wanted to, but hopefully you all understand what I mean anyways lol.

As for relationship plotting, I'm not really sure what to say ahaha. Without posting the character analysis I've written for both my boys, I'll try to summarize their perception of others in a few sentences and how they will interact with them based on that.

Both of my characters are pretty simple minded, with Yoshikage being so to a fault. Mikitaka is just naïve, and will probably get along with anyone so long as they don't attempt to hurt anyone he's befriended (in a somewhat similar vein, he'll probably imitate the behavior of others in order to fit in and will blindly believe anything they say). As for the former, if you disturb his peace he'll probably tolerate you less and less. I headcanon that repetitive noises piss him off pretty quickly (since it doesn't seem at all out of his nature), and Jump and I have discussed that he'll probably get at least mildly frustrated at the clinking of Connor's coin because of the latter's fidgeting habit. Anyone who's overly loud and rambunctious would probably garner a similar response.

EDIT: I think I might add Anasui... I'm going to do a hyper-analysis on his character first, though.

I love Ginga Tetsudou 999. It's been so long since I've watched it, though haha!

She's definitely accepted! I'm really interested to see how she interacts with the other folks we've got here.

Adding her to the first post~

Happy you're joining us♡ Feel free to hop in on the plotting thread. It's linked in the first post!
