The tom woke up quickly just in time to see winterpaw pad out of the camp. He suppressed a sigh as he got up and approached the hospital for a second try with his mentor. "Feathermist, is there anything we need to gather?"he asked in a forced friendly tone. Winterpaw's words still floated in his head, 'why are you always so grumpy?'.

Silverkit was born to two friendly cats in paintclan. Unfortunalty, the two friendly cats were murdered by a wolf. Silverkit struggled for a while as she was brought up by a paintclan queen. Now, the small kit made it up to an apprentice. Silverpaw was getting closer and closer to her goal-to be leader! Silverpaw earned her warrior name, silverstrike. She earned that name because of her ability to strike her eyes through the forest. Silverstrike is slowly forgetting about her dream to be leader as she falls in love with BluePrint.

The tom cat ran faster at what she said. I hate you, the words burned in his head. Suddenly, mintpaw remembered what winterpaw said and he whipped around, glaring at his mentor. A furious snarl bubbled in his throat but he held it back. Instead, he cut feathermist across the face with his paw and spat, "Why don't you like me?!"

The tom turned around in anger and rushed out of camp. He raced on, even though he was buffeted by a cold chill. Finally he sat down, drawing a licked paw over his ear.

Silverstar trudged through the snow, her eyes narrowed against the blizzard. Ice chunks were tangled in here long fur, but she didn't feel them. She made her way through the thick enclosing of pine trees and into the camp were she dropped instantly and fell asleep next to the fresh-kill pile.
