The fem had her laptop placed on the side of the clearing, playing "Shake it Off" by Taylor Swift. Though the songs were made by Twolegs, whom she hated, their music still fascinated her.
So the chocolate mink found herself dancing her heart out. She was so glad she could finally be free, be herself. She had left her old life behind, and now she was in ShadowClan, the Clan she had heard legends about since she was a kit. Life actually wasn't too bad, and the pessimist was feeling strangely optimistic today. Blackpaw sang and hummed along as she pranced about.

Her voice was actually quite pretty, but it was beginning to crack. The domestic found that her once wonderful voice was becoming squeaky and terrible. As she hit a particularly high note, her voice shattered. She laid her ears flat against her head and bounded over, turning off her music before shutting the laptop. She curled on top of the object, tears brimming in her eyes as she lay there at the base of a tree. The apprentice hadn't used her voice in so long that is was disappearing. She could never leave the effects of her old life behind, could she?

How dare he just come up and start throwing insults everywhere! He was new, it was obvious nobody here had ever done anything bad to him. Why did she deserve this? The domestic narrowed her eyes as she flattened her ears against her head. It was just like her other horrible life, the one she had gone through so much to leave behind. If he was going to receive the same pointless ridicule here, what was the point of even staying in ShadowClan? Would it be the same everywhere she went?
Of course it would. People were evil, people were filled with hate. Nothing would ever change.
