Silas gave his new companion a mock growl in return, then he found himself instantly flipped onto his back and pinned under the weight of Mordecai. He had to find a way to get out of the lock that he’d just put him in. He squirmed for a moment, then let out a loud and exasperated sigh. They were so close. Too close. He felt his face growing hot with embarrassment.

Awesome :) Super excited to begin!
-
Silas leapt up anxiously, then gave Mordecai one last playful shove before he morphed back into a human. "You got me! What can I say?" he let out a long laugh, like silver bells ringing in an empty cathedral. "I wiah there was some way for you to join our pack or something. I know my dad might be really angry if he finds out I'm living with another werewolf," Silas frowned.
-
"Oh dear, you look exhausted. Here, you can sleep on the bed-- I can sleep on the couch," Silas suggested after seeing Mordecai's wide yawn. "I'm getting a little tired too, honestly," he replied, beginning to feel sluggish. With dinner in his belly and a stranger in his house, Silas plopped down on the sofa, yawning as if in response to Mordecai. Feeling content, he began to relax, reclining on the cushions and closing his eyes. "You wanna go to bed?" he asked, casting a glance at the other boy.
-
"Of course," he replied quickly, almost instantaneously. It wasn't often that he received guests, and he was eager to treat them with the respect that they deserved. "You know, not a lot of people pass by here. I wanna treat you right if you're here, as long as you don't murder me or some shit," he laughed, waving his hand dismissively. He almost blushed at the thought of someone else in his bed, but he quickly shook the thought away when he was overcome by exhaustion. "Good night, Mordecai. Sweet dreams."
-
"Of course, it's no problem."
Unbeknownst to Mordecai, Silas was thinking his own private thoughts on the sofa. As he leaned in to the cushions, he couldn't help but imagine that Mordecai was there next to him. However, it wasn't long before he drifted off, dreaming of nothing at all. But Silas was a light sleeper, and in the night, the sound of someone rummaging about the apartment awakened him with a start.
-
"Who’s there!?” Silas leapt up off the couch, eyes blazing and expecting someone to come rushing at him. But there was no one there. Mordecai, in his wolf form, had fallen fast asleep next to Silas. He felt more safe somehow seeing the strong red wolf next to the sofa, like having a guard dog or something. But he was still sure he had heard someone in the apartment. He heard the front door click shut, but the lock didn’t turn. Who could it have been? Still standing, he made his way through the kitchen and to the door, shaking Mordecai awake in a panic.
-
“I think there was someone in this house,” he explained hastily, letting out an exasperated sigh. “Unless I was totally imagining it, which is also possible. But my nose is telling me differently.” He morphed into a wolf and sniffed about the kitchen, almost hopeful that he would find nothing at all. “There’s a scent of another wolf in here. Not you or me. What in the world?” He grimaced, turning to Mordecai as if expecting answers. “Someone just broke in and rummaged around. They just left, maybe we have time to track them down.”
-
"What did you find?” Silas asked nervously, padding over to Mordecai and peering over his shoulder. The scent that the stranger had left behind was oddly fragrant. It was a lovely, almost feminine scent, sweet like an orchid blooming at bright. He sure as hell knew that it wasn’t Mordecai’s scent nor was it his own.
-
"I agree. It smells like flowers or perfume or something. But... I’ve never had a sister. And by god, if I did, I’d know her scent. This definitely isn’t the scent of any of my family members. Should we trace the scent outside, or should we check the apartment to see what’s gone? I wonder if she took anything,” he added worriedly.
-
"It's all right, I'm just spooked," he replied quickly, getting a little defensive. Perhaps he was a bit emotional about the whole thing. But it seemed like a big deal-- someone had broken into their apartment while they were sleeping. It was some creepy stuff, and he couldn't get it out of his head that someone might've been there for hours, watching the duo sleep without them ever realizing it. "Are you sure you're gonna be safe on your own/ I can check the apartment whenever. I'll go with you," Silas suggested hesitantly.
-
“Okay,” he nodded in reply and they raced off into the night. Moths buzzed around the streetlights like stray stars falling to earth. When the moonlight hit the trees, Silas was mesmerized for a moment, then he remembered why he was there. Right. They had to track her down. He searched all the reasons in his head that someone might consider breaking into his house, but nothing came to mind. Had he treated anyone badly recently? Gotten into any fights? There was nothing that Silas could think of, and that in itself worried him quite a bit. “The scent seems to be leading back into town,” he noted to Mordecai.

I have a Salem witch trials roleplay idea for historical, how does that sound?
-
Yup, just scroll down :)
-
Making one in just a bit ^_^
-
That sounds really fun! Would you like to turn this into a one on one instead? It doesn’t appear to be picking up much traction yet.
-
Yeah definitely, that sounds good. I was thinking of a coven whose head witch got discovered and burned at the stake, so now the rest of the witches are in a panic
-
“Yeah, good idea. I totally forgot that we won’t be able to get into town as wolves. With all the farmland, the farmers would probably shoo us off, or worse,” he gulped, thinking of a stray dog he’s found shot near the fence of a farm. He quickly shifted back into his human form and made his way down the street.

Do you think you could make the thread? I’m on mobile now. Yeah, we can definitely keep plotting here!
