Maple stalked a wood mouse in her territory near her den. she had just gathered fresh moss for herself when she had smelled fresh prey scent and come outside to see what it was. She had instintivly went into a stalking crouch and watched as wood mouse came scurrying out of a whole nearby. Then it stoped to eat a acorn and then looked up. Cloud made sure she was downwind every time she hunted.
She thought she smelled a faint cat scent though,but she didn't reconize it. She looked around curiously. and then smelled it again, stronger this time. Then she heard a rustle in the bushes behind her and turned toi see what it was.
