Humans can't understand fairy language. ![]()
"Yeah. I'm just a mercenary." She told him. She didn't really want to be a mercenary, but it was something she could do, and she got to travel a lot, so she thought that it was fine. Remembering that he was looking for supplies in the villages, Cerro checked her bag, which ad miraculously stayed on during her very short fight. "I have my own food, so don't worry about running out." She told him.
"Are you sure you want to come along? I will tell you now before it's too late, but, you will get a really big trouble if you follow me to where i'm heading." Roland told her, making sure if she's okay with some big trouble or not. Then Roland see a fairy approach them, the fairy seems talking to him, although he doesn't understand any fairy language.
Gabriel take all his belongings and heading towards the elevator to go to his assigned place with the other troops. He wondered what will his place look like.
"I'm sure you will get used to them quickly, i know that you're a prodigy at weaponry." Gabriel told Jaylin. After some walking, they arrive at the client's estate. The estate is so enormous and almost all part of it are made of gold. "Wow, it's big....no, it's huge." Gabriel said, looking at the estate with an amazed look on his face.
"No...ginormous. Who the hell lives here anyway?" Jaylin ask. She was unable to move from being bewildered. All that gold, all that sparkling gold. 1500 isn't enough! He should be more f*cking genorous.
"Right, let's just come in." Gabriel walk towards the gate, but immediately halted by the guards. "Who are you? What's your business in the house of Lord Barbuda?" The guard ask him. "We're from Arcane Angels." Gabriel answered. "Oh, i'm sorry, you two may come in, he's expecting you." The guard opened the gate for Gabriel and Jaylin to go in.
Cerro looked at the fairy for a few seconds before answering.
"What sort of trouble?" she asked. If it was fights, she could mostly defend herself. The way he talked, it sounded like it was something else though.
Linnea stood quiet, understanding that the humans can't understand her. Unlike other beings she admired their job and inventions so she decided to follow them anyways to see, tf there's a town around.
"If you follow me, you'll become an enemy of a kingdom...." He told Cerro with a serious face, trying to show her that the trouble she would get is a serious trouble, then he look at the fairy. "I don't understand your language, but it seems like you want to follow me too. You know, my problem is too big for you to get involved in, i don't want to burden a fairy." He said to the little fairy.
"I'm planning to assassinate a king." He told Cerro.
"Yeah, except that the trap seems to be unavoidable...." Cadfael said.
Jaylin nodded her head and followed Gabriel in. "He has to be really rich if he could afford guards." She whispered so the guards wouldn't hear her.
"Yeah." Gabriel agree with Jaylin's comment. They walk to the entrance and follow through the big hallway, until finally, they arrive at a room with so many high quality decorations, and at the end of the room, a man with a luxurious outfit is sitting on a really majestic chair. "Welcome, i'm waiting for you to come." He said.
Roland look at Cerro, it seems like she hesitated to follow him now. He look back at the road in front of him. "Before we reach the kingdom that i'm going to, there's a big town. Maybe you could find a job there." He told her. He thinks that maybe it's best if they split up at some point before he reach his destination.
Jaylin slowly walked forward astonished by the decor. "So, um what do you want us to do?"
"I want the two of you, to escort me along the road to the city of market, Hagleridge." The rich man said. After hearing that, Gabriel think for a moment. "That city is not too far, but the roads heading towards that city is usually full of bandits. I understand, i will escort you there."
"Yeah, but your life is like yesterday's enemies is today's friends. Your enemies could hire you to turn your blades at your clients, and vice versa. But if you were to be seen with me as a friend, then that's a different story. But don't worry, the distance between that town and my destination is quite far, so you wouldn't be seen withe me by the kingdom's man." Roland said, walking with a medium pace.
