    Lacie couldn't explain it, but though she hated the snow, it still made her feel incredibly nostalgic; which was quite odd, since she hadn't ever seen or felt snow until she had arrived on this continent, which had been only about half a moon ago.

    Lacie was a bit similar to King. Long, pointless conversations tended to bore her, so she didn't usually stick around until they ended. Parties weren't exactly her thing, either; seeing as she wasn't too fond of large crowds. The honey badger was totally fine hanging around and chatting with one or two of her close friends, though any more than that was too much for her.


    Approaching the group, the shadowclanner simply acknowledged them with a nod, as she settled back on her haunches; idly flicking her tail. She wasn't exactly sure what she was doing, though she preferred to not to question these types of things for the sake of not complicating her already-cluttered, somewhat messed-up life.

    Well, apparently not; seeing as this one still managed to not notice them. The honey badger sighed mentally. Clearing her throat, the shadowclanner spoke again; her voice rather emotionless and nonchalant with an undertone one could almost describe as cold. "State your name and business - right now."

    The shadowclanner sneezed, causing her eyes to snap open. Sitting up, Lacie realized that she had been sleeping in the snow, in the middle of her clan's territory.


    Blinking, she released a growl. How the hell had she managed to fall asleep when she had been out hunting? That certainly wasn't normal, was it? For a moment, she considered going to the medicine cats to get herself checked out, but decided not to. There was no reason to bother them with small matters like this, seeing as they probably had more important tasks to attend to - such as stocking up on herbs for the winter. She was most likely just tired due to the weather.


    Lacie let out a sigh, watching as her breath vaporized in the air. Well, she had no reason for staying out here. With that, the shadowclanner began heading in the direction of the camp, when she unconsciously glanced down at her paws; and what she saw scared the living crap out of her. Much to her dismay, her paws were much smaller and were a dark obsidian - certainly not the paws that she had before.


    Immediately, the shadowclanner dashed over to the nearest puddle, and stared at her reflection. Instead of seeing a honey badger, she saw a domestic feline looking up at her. Though, the worst part was her eyes, which were a light copper color; with the irises dusted with an abundance of unnaturally vibrant crimson flecks.


    It was her body - or, if not that, it was a body that perfectly resembled her original one - the one she had tried so very hard to forget about. It was the body which she had been forced to use to murder so many innocent people, which led to a tragedy which had not only ruined her life, but also the lives of everyone who had known her, at the time.


    "Holy fucking shit..." she muttered in disbelief. Well, she certainly hadn't done this. She never would have even considered thinking about her old body. Lacie spent a few moments agonizing about her current predicament, when realization suddenly hit her in the face. It must have been one of them. After all, those two were the only ones who were both powerful enough to fight against her will, and they were the only ones who knew about her old body's location. However, the question was which one of them had done this to her, and even more importantly: why?

The dark obsidian she-cat narrowed her crimson-tinted eyes as she entered the scene. Having heard the commotion, she had expected to find a fight, though it seemed that there wasn't anything much going on.

    Materializing beside Candyfangs, Lacie observed the scene; amusement written all over her usually nonchalant features. Great; some entertainment. Entertainment was something she seemed to be lacking, these days.


    A mischievous smirk ghosted across the obsidian shadowclanner's features, as she attempted to flick a large chuck of snow at the general who stood beside her, chuckling slightly as she commented in a tone of mock-innocence. "Whoops."

    "How dare they-" she was suddenly cut off by another voice, causing her to turn around and instinctively unsheathe her claws. However, seeing as it was only the head general, she allowed her fur to lie flat; though the guarded look on her features remained. There was no way that she would be able to explain everything right now in a way that he would understand, so she took the easy way and gave a VERY simplified answer. The only one who could sort of get what she was saying was Candyfangs, though the shadowclanner hadn't said a word about this even to her.
