Luke blinked out of his thought's and glanced over at her "hmm?.. oh the rice, yeah sure." he said and swiftly moved to turn it on, though the muscles in his arms were stiff he seemed calmer. Getting the rice cooker on quick to make up for not paying attention at first. Who could blame him really.. He sighed and then let his gaze travel over to her, his eyes were gray still but his pupils larger then normal "I think thats a good idea..." he agreed with her suggestion and then turned so his back was to the cupboards, then he placed his palms back on the counter and jumped up with ease. Settling down on the counter and shifting back and forth until he found a comfertable spot, folding his hands at the end of hi lap and leaning back against the cabinet slightly. The growl that emanated from his stomach was what broke the silence, he gave a dry smirked and looked over at her "jeez woman, your starving me." he teased quietly, his tone light for fear that the situation may still be fragile. It's what he always did, he tried to make jokes to ease the mood.
Rebecca's amber eyes glanced up at him and slowly she unfurled He is here? it's actually real.. but-oh... she saw that expression on his face and turned her face towards the floor slightly, looking away as the sadness filled her eyes "what's a little blood when it cant be helped?..." she asked quietly, her throat was raw which made her words come out with a rasp. "I want to go home now..." she clenched a fist which had been lightly resting in front of her face just under nose level. I cant deal with this right now. Nor do I want to, he doesnt want me here, nor will he ever need me here. she felt her throat constrict and she shut her eye's tight "just take me home," her words came out as s quiet whine as she pressed her lips together and shook her head ever so slightly. Seeing the money fill her bank account these past weeks had been hard enough, knowing he was out there and still trying, some people didnt even make that much money in a year! how hard was he working? Though he seemed less like he had been just over a month ago, more pale, and thinner as well. Her 20th birthday had come and gone, with nothing more then a text from her brother Luke, and it had been so short and simple, hiding away any emotion. f- dont cry dont cry dont cry..
