Lorden's cropped ears perked at the sound of the low growl that emitted from his Alpha, and he went still as he listened to the click of canine claws on concrete. He was rummaging through one of the large garbage cans for the leftovers of a turkery carcass that usually lay at the bottom, something that seemd to always show up after a few months of colder weather. He assumed the humans had some tradition envolving a turkey, but didn't dwell much on the matter in that moment as he slowly lifted his two front paws out of the can and onto the concrete. He tediously padded over to the dead rat he had caught and sat infront of it, concealing it from the eyes that he knew would soon emerge with the rest of the Canidae body that was making its way here. "Alpha..." Lorden managed to whisper, his neck lowered and neck hairs bristling as his fierce eyes locked onto the entrance of the alley way, where the padding seemed to be coming from.

Lorden's eyes immediately looked over the dogs that came around the corner, seeing which one he would be able to take down easily. Truly, he didn't think any of them; besides the one in the lead who seemed to have mother problems, or something. His narrowed eyes slid down to her legs, which, in her breed, were frail. He could probably snap them if he got a good hold the was rightly lined up with his molars, if not that then a good puncture wound that would infect easily. But he figured that the other two would rush in to help, causing the tables to turn on Lorden that could easily lead to death. He let out a sigh through his teeth, wishing silently that his sister was here. They had always fought in a duo, and occasionally by themselves, though on the other paw he was glad that she was not.
Standing up, he abandoned the rat that he had hid and padded over to stand behind Maggie, head lowered and coarse hairs bristeling over his back and neck, making him seem fluffy. He did not though, crinkle his muzzle in a threatening snarl, and instead shot the other dogs an agressive, yet calm glare, eyes open and staring directly at the group, aiming his opticts at the ring leader's. Lorden -Vodka was waiting patiently for the group to begin their trek to the park, but even she, with a respectable tolerance, was about ready to walk off, when Storm went ahead and did it for her.
She couldn't help but looking on curiously, pondering if he would continue and stop, and gave a an amused hum when he did. The female looked at Eponine, her gaze trailing to Nirvana, then she sat up from where she was sitting, striding onto the cold cement. As she walked towards Storm, she briefly wondered how the others were dealing with the cold weather, knowing that this was just the beginning. She herself could never get used to the cold temperatures, but has learned to deal with it and tolerate the cold wind that would sometimes carry small dots of white with it as it smacked her every which way and numbed her paw pads.
Vodka gave a huff as she stopped a good distance away from Storm, then looked at him curiously. "Do you plan to head off into the city without your group?" She enterrogated intently, finding more interest in the buildings and street structure than the dog she had asked the question to. -
Lorden gave a sigh, his head tipped to the sky. The sun had risen faster than he had hoped, and was now positioned to what seemed like a paw's length from sitting in the middle of the sky. The male's head dropped to look at Vodka, then to the two siblings. It was time, even if the sun wasn't in the middle, they had better start before traffic got anymore worse.
"Alright. Let's go." He barked, his tone neither commanding nor friendly. Vodka didn't oppose as she too stood, but only watched as Lorden turned and began walking. The female let out a whine, then turned and walked the way she had come. Only padding a few feet, she stopped. Her brother, Lorden, had also stopped and was staring at Vodka, who had her muzzle tipped to the sky. A fraction of a second later the Beauceron mix let out a howl that bombarded off the surrounding houses and rose higher than the sounds of bustling cars. There were no words planted in the howl, only the warning that their travel was beginning, and a somewhat 'goodbye' to the city. The howl seemed to only last a minute before Vodka's head tipped back down, turning, and heading back to her brother with a melancholic look on her delicate face. Lorden didn't say anything , for it was clear to see the intention of the howl: To tell Hades and Daisy that they were going. -
Lorden's ears twiched at the sound of the enemie's cry. He immediately braced his shoulders, and as one of the dogs went for Arrow, Lorden jumped beside Maggie, ready to protect his leader with the cost of his life. As the enemy leader charged, Lorden's smooth muzzle crinkled in a threatenting snarl, lips peeled back to reveal his rows of dangling knives, ready to sink any of them into the enemy. He did not hesitate nor fling himself forward as the other dogs charge though, he stayed his ground next to his leader, waiting for her to come to them.
-
Lorden just missed the snap to his muzzle by Crimson, but was too slow to avoid a nip to his backside. Now seeing that Crimson was a fast opponent, Lorden made his moves light and quick too, trying to match Crimson's tempo. When he saw that his leader was going for her muzzle, Lorden skirted around quickly and lunged for one of her back legs, but made sure that he could spring up if she jumped.
Vodka's eyes were now narrowed at Storm. It seemed that he was ignoring her, seeing as he had not answered her previous question. "Storm? You alive in there?" She said, padding a little closer to him, slightly annoyed.
-
Vodka didn't say anything for a few short seconds, then said a little quietly, "I might join you."
She didn't say anything else as her eyes were drawing to the streets of the city, musing silently how the other group was doing.
"Hey, after looking for food at the park, do you...do you...." Vodka's eyes, that had trailed to Storm when she began her sentence, were now seemingly looking straight through him, voice trailing off. A cold chilll accompanied by an uneasy feeling crept up her spine and seemed to lodge itself inside her mind. She had felt this way before; many times actually, and over the years she had figured out that when that feeling occured, something bad was happening to her brother. Something life threatening was happening to Lorden.
Vodka shook her head, eyes now drowned in a worried gleam, adorned by a determined look on her delicate face. "Something's wrong." She whispered, more to herself than to Storm. It took herself a few seconds of recollection to remember where the other group that Lorden was in went. Alley. But there are lots in the city.. She thought, turning away from Storm and now backtracking to the Shelter, trying to find a trace of the hunting party that could lead her to her brother.Going back to the point where the dogs had stood, she had found a trail scent, and was now following it intently into the city.
-
Lorden pulled his head back, his mouth slightly ajar as he was momentarily blinded by the water and the grime that had made its way there. Backing away to paw at his eyes, he took a few seconds to recover before getting back into the fight, trying to figure where he can get her.
"Mm.." Vodka hummed in agreement, her nose to the air and mouth parted slightly as she trailed the scents of the dogs. It would be no use to follow by the scents on the ground, for many dogs and even humans had traveled through the street and it wouldn't help much, just in confusing her senses.
Her pace quickened when she thought that she was getting closer, and the pickings on good alleyways were dimming slightly. Then, across the street, Vodka saw it. An alley where the walls slowly rose the farther you go in. "There.." She whispered to Storm, then looked both ways on the street and slinked across it, making it to the other side intact. She could here the fighting in the alley, standing silently on the corner of the entrace where she wouldn't be seen, her gaze at Storm as she beckoned him to follow. She wouldn't go in till she had someone at her back, or even better; a plan.

-ColdPERSONALITY DESCRIPTION -
"I'm the most wonderful dog that's alive. Take it or leave it."With the disappearance of his sister, his personalities and look on life changed, unknown to him if it's for the better or worst. Lorden does not like having to lean on others for help, and would rather do things his way without interruptions; but does take orders from those higher ranked than him.
His independant nature could easily get him into trouble, example being he runs off into the city alone; but that's where his instinctive nature kicks in. Sadly, this portion of his personality rules over all his other feelings (or so others think >=)) and almost over his flight or fight response.
His main goal in life is to live and find his sister, and sometimes to survive he has to think of himself over others. His heart though does have the capacity to hold others in it, but he is satisfied having that part empty, knowing that if he began to feel and care for others it would be more work for him.He is sarcastic, and at points in his life the sarcastic behavior sometiems becomes immatureness, but hardly anymore. Where the immatureness used to harbor is now occupied by the intellectual part of his mind, which is slowly taking up more capacity as the dog grows older. The last part of his personality is one that hazes over all feelings. The cold, unfeeling state that can melt easily.
As said above, he still has the capacity in his heart to care for others, but during experiences in his past left him thinking about that, and not wanting to feel the melancholic dread of someone you have let in dying or betraying you, he developed an unfeeling fog that hovers over his personality, hoping that it will be like a barrier, and keep people from it. Sadly though, the haze is easily melted, even by the coldest of hearts.
SHORT APPEARANCE DESCRIPTION -
"Shoot, are you blind?"Lorden bears the coat pattern commonly known as Tweed, meaning his main coat color, grey, is covered with splashes of different shades of blue. Areas such as his chest, inside of his ears, muzzle, and legs are a coppery color. He is lean, and doesn’t provide the bulkiness other dog breeds might have, but still packs a powerful punch. He does have double dew claws on his front legs, as his breed commonly has.

Lorden leading, he began with a fast trot out of the suburban area, Vodka trailing slightly as she made up the rear end of the group. "Okay. We're going West for a distance, than North. Raven, Crow, is there a specific place you two would like to go? We can go anywhere." Lorden said, the last part a little softer as he looked over his shoulder at them.

That's a very handsome dog you got there! And at the moment a group of dogs (Crow, Raven, Lorden, and Vodka) are heading out of the city, while another pair of dogs (Hades and Daisy) are now running to catch up after they heard one of the dogs in the group howl, signaling their leave.

There, on the rooftop of one of the many decayed buildings in the city, the male sat, enjoying the calm state while it was there, eyes closed and body slumped in a sitting position; yet his ears stayed erect as he listened to the sounds around him, ready to jump into action if a Biter came. But at the moment, that was unlikely. The dog, named Lorden, gave a mischevious smile at the thought of him being untouchable. Of course, that wasn't true, but he let himself indulge in that thought for the few minutes that came next.
On top of the rooftop of what looked to be an apartment, he thought back to him walking down the street, eyes looking around him for any signs of a Biter being nearby. He had been able to avoid getting bitten, or; even hurt whatsoever, but he too knew that his luck would not last him through this epidemic. God, he wasn't sure if it even would end. It did occur to him though that if he killed all the Biters that it would end, but that was by far the most untouchable goal he had ever thought of. The dog was guessing that this little rooftop was his last gift from Luck, and he was quite satisfied with it. He had stumbled apon this little haven during a little run after spotting a Biter, and had immediately went in to inspect it. The rooms harbored no Biters, but the floors were weak and could easily give witht the slightest mistkake. Even getting to the top was risky, seeing as he had to mometarily walk on the sil of a window, (that was many meters of the ground, might I say) then slip into the open window next to him that led to the roof. It was quite convenient, actually, seeing as the infected dogs didn't have the smarts to figure that out; and those that did plummeted to their death in the alley below.
After a few more minutes, the male opened his eyes. From the rooftop he was able to see the land lay out infront of him, but stocky buildings blocked what view he could get of the fields out of the city, which so far was the only thing he was disatisfied about the place. His dark, coppery eyes slowly trailed down to the streets below. He had yet to meet another normal dog, and to be truthful, wasn't forward to it. He like dbeing solitary, and the only dog he wanted by his side was his sister, who got seperated from him during a hunting trip into the fields out of the city. He had searched for days, but to no avail.
A disgruntled look replaced the one of tranquil as his eyes landed on a Biter, that was walking with a limp a few blocks away, but his face changed again when he watched it turn and go back the way it was, momentarily banging his head into a building that was next to the infected dog. Lorden again flicked his eyes over the city, looking for something that might hold his interest. Though, when he had dropped his gaze to the world at the bottom, he couldn't help performing a double take at an entrance to one of the buildings on his apartment's block. Something had caught his eye.
At first when he saw the dog he assumed it was a Biter, but when he gazed at it for a longer time he realized that is wasn't fumbling around like one would, and it seemed, (though he could hardly believe it) that the dog was staring back. His first thought was to get out of the animal's sight, but he knew that that would no longer do any good, for it had already seen him. So, not entirely sure what he should do, the brute stood so he was on all fours, and with his head raised, walked over to the side of his building. Lorden wondered if the dog would come closer, of if it thought that he was a Biter, yet he decided not to dwell more on that and more on the fact if he got stuck with a dog would that prove to be an advantage or disadvantage? Lorden, who had finally cleared his vision, was welcomed back into the world of sight by a flash of black and a pain igniting on his back. He was on his last straw with these mutts. Attacking and saying this was there turf? Lorden couldn't comprehend their logic.
A snarl ripped through his muzzle as he, as rapidly as he could, went limp so he was to the ground and pushed off his legs, rolling, making the other opponent unable to keep their grasp. He popped back up on all fours and took no time to recover as he lunged at the other dog, but skidded halfway before stopping and jumping back when he saw his sister race by him. Huh. Lorden snapped his head in her direction, but she just gave him a nod. Lorden, remembering he was in a fight, swiveled his head back to the female he was facing.Vodka couldn't take it. She was burning with the want to help someone, help her pack, but she knew it was foolish to run into a battle blindly. Till she saw her brother get attacked. That seemed to spike the fire, and her eyes narrowed as she looked around in realization. She didn't see Daisy. Was she okay? Yet before the female could think up possibilities where the dog went, she noticed a dog that was a few moments before battling Arrow; walk over to a trashcan, seemingly talking to it. Or, Vodka thought, behind it. Her eyes widened. Daisy must be behind there.
Now forgetting making a plan or back up, she raced into the battle zone, giving her brother a nod in reassurence when she ran by.
"Don't touch her.." Vodka growled lowly, making it to the trashcan and beside the retriever in seconds. -
While Lorden had a few seconds to look around the fighting zone, his eyes locked onto Storm. He was tempted to yell out at the dog, scolding him for not going and helping someone, but he kept his mouth clamped as his eyes trailed back to his opponent. His ears though where more interested in the conversation between Maggie and the other canine, so as he was waiting for his opponent he listened intently.
Vodka's ears flattened back ever so slightly. In other circumstances she would have been very flattered, but in this case she wanted to rip the male's toungue out. "Oh really? You don't start fights that don't need to be started? Yet here I come to a mess of dogs brawling it out. And I highly doubt my pack started it." The last part was almost deathly quiet as she narrowed her eyes at the male, her fur bristled in an attempt to look scary, but unknown to her that attempt failed.

If it was a real, living dog, he would be ready to just swear out whatever god existed in this messed up world for having him meet more than one dog, and neither being his sister. After contemplating for a few fleeting seconds, he decided that he would go down and meet the dog, thinking that if a Biter came he could easily run back in and to his rooftop safezone. But the thought that if the Biter would keep stalking around the building did prod his mind as he made his way to the corner of the roof, where a door attached to a building was ajar. He slipped through it and jumped down the stairs that connected it to a room. The apartment was built strangely, but he didn't seem to notice how irregular it was to other buildings as he padded over to an open window. Looking out to the alley below, he took a deep breath. I'm fine. I've done this many times now..I'm fine. After reassuring himself, he stepped onto the sil of the window, that used to hold flowering pots, but was now bare as he stood a little precariously on the sil, not standing for long as he lifted his leg and reached out for a window next to his that led down the building. Taking another collected breath, leaning against the wall, he stepped his other front paw onto the sil, and putting one of his back paws on the edge of it, he pushed off with the last leg that was still on the other sil, for a few seconds balenceing on the other sil before jumping into the room. He gave a sigh of relief, for he felt himself slowly tip when he had pushed off, but was happy to have crossed over. The rest of the trip down the apartment builing held no problems, and soon he was staring at the revolving door that seperated the small lobby from the outside world. Entering one of the slots, he pushed against it and was met with the lifeless concrete sidewalk. His gaze was then locked onto the unfamiliar dog. With a casual stroll, showing he was neither a threat nor a friend, he began the trip over to him,--Lorden guessed it was a 'He'--cropped ears erect in posture for any Biters that decided to attack him. Lorden watched as the enemy leader called her pack together, eyes still on his opponent, but his ears were elsewhere, listening to Vodka's and the enemy dog's conversation. He couldn't help whipping his head to the male, Truman, when he heard him call his sister pretty. Eyes blazing even more, he watched the male retreat to his leader out of the corner of his eyes, paws kneading the ground as he imagined ripping his tongue out.
Vodka had the same thought, her fluffy fur hiding the pink flush of her skin as she grumbled a few curses under her breath before turning her gaze to Sunny. "Are you okay?" She asked gently, eyes now soft and friendly, "You didn't get hurt, did you?"
