Unlike others, Marchingband had known Mrs. O well. At least, at one point. Though he gave a slight grin at the badges and juice boxes part, he was sorry he hadn't been around to see her - at the very least right before she left. Especially since Mrs. O was one of the older members of DarkClan, it was hard for the medic to see her in any other clan. Obviously she had meant a lot to the newer DarkClanners, though, judging by their reactions. It was oddly satisfying. Mrs. O clearly hadn't changed from her familiar, yet sort of odd, self. The fox sighed, why couldn't he have been there sooner, just to say goodbye?

There was a not very surprising amount of new faces around, so Marchingband figured he should do something like this. Actually it was almost frightening how many individuals he didn't recognize. Where was everyone? That was a second reason to do this - maybe he'd see someone familiar. The fennec fox sat down and coughed awkwardly."... Hey, anyone! Meet and greet?"he asked, looking around with a slightly nervous, taupe eye. A random angry individual yelled at him from his room next door. Marchingband couldn't blame him. It was in the middle of night - just the time the nocturnal fox was awake. He watched for anyone else who may be awake as well.
-
Marchingband nodded at Aika."Marchingband. A pleasure as well."She wasn't familiar to him, however, he could remember seeing her around sometime. The fennec turned his head and gave Mauledpup an acknowledging look."Good to meet you,"he spoke, wondering how the wolf got such an odd name. "Mauled"? Hmm. Marchingband hadn't seen him before, however he could blame that on himself. He'd been inactive for months.
-
interaction with march maybe?
-
"I could take one,"the fox spoke, sitting down near some unfamiliar individuals. Well, he had to do something. It'd been too long since he actually completed one of these.
-
Marchingband was there, too - curious, yet silently agreeing with Feliks. He didn't care too much for war chants, much less unoriginal ones, but maybe they could make up some creative ones? The fox didn't mind any type of creativity. And though he'd been in DarkClan since Lancelot reigned, he'd never participated in making up war chants. It was a unique idea.
-
Quietly closing his door, the small fennec crept down the hall. It was witching hour, a normal time to be up for the nocturnal fox, yet a lonely time at that. Marchingband figured he should change his habits - maybe he'd be happier that way - but he never really tried. Maybe he was just lonely because he didn't know anyone. DarkClan, nowadays, had no familiar faces, especially now that Ms. O was gone. The fox grinned. No, that was his fault. He'd been in DarkClan so long - since Lancelot was still alive - but he just wasn't very active.
Marchingband stumbled down an abandoned hallway that had been blocked off. This room wasn't popular. Not anymore. He carefully sneaked into the dark room, only a small hole in the wall provided light from the outside. He glanced at the broken mirror lying in the corner, one taupe eye staring back. The Exiles had only come to mind as he looked at the space where his other eye would be. How could so many individuals he used to know be gone? And how was DarkClan faring with these newer members?

I need a MEDIC BADGE!
[i]I want the badge on this account:[i] MARCHINGBAND ! -
Marchingband looked across all the new faces - new faces he'd never seen before. It was exciting. He noted each of their faces and differences; his memory had always been a bit of a problem for the small fox. Marchingband noticed a smell of herbs around Eliza - so the clan still had a healer! That was relieving to March, since he hadn't seen Evelyn for a long time and the clan was in need of medics at one point. Perhaps there were more he didn't know about? His taupe gaze flickered over to Cleveland, realizing she had an odd pair of goggles around her neck. He'd never seen goggles before - glasses, yes, but not goggles. Returning Junkrat's grin, the fox greeted,"Nice to meet you, Eliza, Cleveland, and Junkrat. A fine witching hour, eh? Good to see so many still up, actually."Had all of DarkClan developed insomnia? Maybe Marchingband wouldn't feel lonely, anymore, knowing that he wasn't the only one awake.
-
Hearing an offer of weekly tasks, Marchingband came over and sat near the serval. He supposed he should keep himself doing something."I'll take one,"the fox volunteered.
-
Oh, someone new? Marchingband padded over and sat down, tilting his head at the pup's name. Criminalpup ... it sounded so familiar. It was so hard to remember, but the name reminded him of his old best friend, Criminalkit. He grinned, wondering how this innocent looking child got the word 'criminal' in her name. She was funny, not so serious like a lot of DarkClan - it was refreshing, actually."Marchingband. If you don't mind me asking, how'd you get a name like that?"he asked, looking up at her. She may have been very young, but being a fennec fox, Marchingband weighed about two pounds. It seemed everyone, even children, were somehow always bigger than him.
-
Marchingband nodded understandingly at Criminalpup's response. Names, unique ones too, sometimes didn't have any specific meaning. Especially if they were like human names - a bunch of common names people just liked and gave to their children. Marchingband's own name didn't really make sense."That's true,"he replied, shuffling small paws. Blinking at Skeletonlullaby's surprising retort, he asked,"Is curiosity a problem?"He supposed the male was just protective of his daughter, which was a good thing considering she was very young and new to DarkClan.
-
"Welcome to DarkClan, Aubrey Jenison. I'm Marchingband,"the fox greeted, padding over and sitting down next to Criminalpup. Well the joiner was certainly unique in her introduction. Marchingband didn't quite like it, though."Infants, here, are respected the same as older individuals. I hope you can learn that quick."
-
March hadn't been to a meeting in a while. It felt like the last meeting he'd been to was when Trip Zenith was General. "General" - supposedly an old term now. Now it was "Commander". The fox sat down in the gathering crowd, directing his attention to Junkrat and waiting for his announcement.

Marchingband was sick of his nostalgic depressions - the time he spent in abandoned hallways, late at night, thinking about what things used to be. He supposed he should quit being so stuck in the past and do something now. This night would be different. Instead, he'd be useless in some other, less dismal way. Taking a cup of supplies with him and large pieces of paper, he trotted down the hallway to the barren rooms. These rooms may have been popular once, but they definitely weren't anymore. He turned left, into a room he'd never been in before ... One that had seemingly been occupied before him, a recent smell to it. Cloth covered the walls to cover holes, old herbs and bones of prey scattered the floor, and a musty smell filled the air.
Marchingband removed a cloth from the wall, a large hole beneath it revealing the outside. He sat on the floor, setting down a thick piece of paper, taking out a hairbrush from the cup with his jaws and dipping it in dark purple hair dye. Dragging the hairbrush across the paper, he created something akin to a night sky. Marchingband blinked. Sorta looked messed up for a night sky. Ms. O had painted before, maybe not with hair dye, but the fox was pretty sure a hairbrush was involved ...? He stuck the hairbrush in blueberry jam, planning his next move on the paper.
