OOC: Dragons are telepathic, meaning they can send a psychic message to all dragons in the area and beyond.
IC: Maleth unrolled a scroll from his claws, and gestured to the battle scene. "I don't know exactly where everything fits, but there was an old story about how Tikoen was once a harsher world thousands of eons ago. During that age, there were massive creatures that were similar to the Terran Titans of Earth." He then flicked his tail over to the ocean where they had been previously. "Ranahi was one of those creatures. -
Maleth shrugged and flew after Avis.
-
MOusetalon yowled, then ducked and raked his claws under Flamepelt's belly.
-
"Actually, the war involves both us and Ranahi against the other creatures.", Maleth rumbled. "This isn't the first time this has happened. There soon came a time of a Great Disaster. Volcanoes erupted, tsunamis crashed over the land, and soon the harsh world the Monarchs once called home started to change. Some survived and burrowed their way into the planet, where they sleep to this very day. Others, however, became rogue and sought to keep their place on Tikoen. Ranahi was the apex predator of them all, and it was he who forced those rogue creatures into the earth where they had came from, but at a price. Due to his wounds, Ranahi had to sleep, and restore his energies, and that," Maleth paused meaningfully, "has given time for the Morgo creatures to return, now stronger than ever." Maleth sat back as he let the words sink in.

"I don't know if a goddess will help us in this crisis, Luna." Maleth rumbled, padding up next to her. "It's up to us and Ranahi now."
-
"Thanks!" Mousetalon called out. "Whats your name?"
-
"Thinking about your father?", Maleth asked, then he turned away awkwardly. "You don't have to say anything, it's just... I want to help. With everyone."
-
"Hello, Enderclaw and Les." Mousetalon meowed. He looked at Flamepelt. "Now what do we do with him?"
-
"Well, seeing as he abandoned you when you just hatched, that's something I would never want to happen to anyone." Maleth stopped, then looked out over the mountains, seeing the glimmer of the ocean in the distance. "It was worse enough when my mother died.", he said quietly, mostly to himself.
-
Maleth looked at her, then started his story....
"It was just like any other day. My mom and I were out on another hunting lesson, and I had begged that we hunt in the tunnels. I wish I hadn't. My mother agreed, and we set out at dawn. It was the most perfect day. Nothing seemed wrong, yet for some reason had a sick feeling, but I continuously squashed it down, for I felt I had nothing to fear."
Maleth paused, and he blinked to clear his eyes. This was something he never liked to talk about....
"We were in the tunnels, and we had just finished. We were heading back out when suddenly the cave shook, dust falling from the ceiling. We live beside an active yet non eruptive volcano, so we occasionally get quakes. However, this was a particularly huge one, and where we were was the worst place to be caught. We raced for the entrance, rocks falling everywhere around us. The entrance soon came in sight, but we weren't going to make it in time...."
-
Funny, except try to use non cussing ones.
-
"It's fine. I'm fine." Maleth shook himself and continued.
"My mother knew we weren't going to make it out, so she did the only thing she could do.. She thrust me out of the tunnels, but she didn't follow. Rocks continued to fall around her, and by the time I looked back...she was gone.."
Maleth finished with a grieved groan. "She saved me, but at her life's cost."
-
Maleth stood up to follow her, then he stopped. "Clear your mind......" Suddenly seized by a flash of brilliance, he shot up into the sky, and flew toward the ocean. He had a plan.
-
Maleth, after reaching his destination, dove down into the water, now icy cold from the night, and down to the trench. Farther and farther, until he could see the thermals below.....and his goal. Reaching his mind out, he felt a touch of something prehistoric, and yet sentient.
Ranahi, he called. We must fight once more.
-
OH WOW. BIG FAIL.
-
...On the shoreline, the waters seemed to recede rapidly, fish flopping weakly on the sand banks. Then, the light of the moon was blocked out by a monstrous shape, water dripping from it's hide.
-
WHAT. THE HECK. IS THAT?
-
Maleth sat atop Ranahi's head, watching in wonder as he morphed from his streamlined ocean-forme to his muscle-powered land forme. Incredible. He can change shape as well. Ranahi sent him a thought in a form of a question. Maleth spread his wings wide, and flicked his tail toward the mountains. To Gauhaefen.
