Check could hear her leader's words ringing in her ears. She swooped down, glided, and made a not-so-good landing. Crashing into the ground, Check shook the dirt off her and listened.
A storm brewing today? That's going to be a problem. One could get injured if flying out in the storm. Hopefully it won't get too bad....

Check approached the other leader and asked,
"Though I am a medicine, I am a bird too. May I volunteer? Or should I stay in case of injuries...."
Check looked up to see the grey clouds.
It's possible there's no storm at all. Sometimes that happens.
Check looked back down. Her yellow gaze followed to the leaders again.

Check nodded. "Right." She turned her yellow eyes back on the storm.
The short-eared owl flapped her wings and took off the ground, following the other bird.
Once she reached far up in the sky, she turned northwest.

Check was as well satisfied with the flight. She liked adventure, and kind of felt like a little owlet again. An owlet who could fly. She flapped her wings and glided through the winds. But once she heard Ptolemy's urgent words, she was alarmed. Her eyes were wide as she tried to see through all the wind and rain. Stay in control! Don't let the storm take you.
She followed the golden pheasant, very aware that he was landing. Gliding down, she landed on a different branch on the tree. Check blinked and regained calmness. "Were you injured?" she asked, hoping nothing too bad happened.

Glad that no one was injured, but still a bit on edge, the owl hooted (what?),"But maybe we should warn them.... Though, yes, we'd risk a lot flying through the storm. I guess you're right..."
The short-eared owl didn't try to sleep, though. She watched the storm, thinking that if they didn't return, then maybe someone could get worried and look for them. And that someone would have very much trouble looking for two birds in a storm like this.

As Color padded up onto the border, she couldn't help but internally complain how her feet were aching - but of course, she'd never be caught voicing these complaints. So she was finally here, hmm? Wonderful. She sat down on the border, and deciding she was too impatient to wait for somebody to come talk to her, Colorguard would grab the Clanners' attention herself."YO, EVERYBODY! My name's Colorguard and I want to join your Clan!"she screamed out into the outskirts of ... What was it called? MilitaryClan or something? It's DarkClan! How could you forget that so easily? That voice. Her mind had been telling her to come to this "DarkClan" for ages - and she still didn't know why. Oh yeah, and apparently she knew some people here, too. A Ms. O, or a Trip? And someone with a split personality or something? DarkClan must have some absolutely insane individuals.

Agent Oprah? What was this "agent" thing all about? Something told her this was that "Ms. O" her mind was telling her about. Yellow gaze flickering over to Juzo, she would shiver internally - this guy was creepy."Thanks. Nah, no tour for me ... The Colonel, eh?"she said - well, she didn't really know what that meant. Maybe it was a high rank or something, she'd have to learn fast."I'm not familiar with these ranks in Mili - DarkClan. Care to explain, Ms. O? I mean Agent Oprah! Whatever."Why did she think she was Ms. O? More sleep and maybe a lemon bar would clear her mind - yes, she was just tired.

Merging with AlohaClan? Colorguard had no idea what this AlohaClan was all about, but obviously DarkClan had some good connections with them if they were merging."Noted, Zenith."she said simply, sitting down. She was never told the General's last name, however it seemed so familiar to her - plus, she was used to using last names for higher ranks.

Colorguard nodded."Makes enough sense."The ranks were new and ... weird, but she'd figure them out sooner or later. She kept her gaze fixed on Agent Oprah for a second out of sentiment, but then her yellow gaze quickly flickered over to Natsu. She envied him and his pink fur - she couldn't possibly dye her whole self pink, so instead she settled for just the fur atop her head. Other then that, she looked at him with annoyance clearly evident in her eyes."Are you talking to me? Didn't I basically just scream my name to you all, or do I have to make myself clear in sign language, too?"she would give a roll of her eyes, but Colorguard tried to keep herself contained. It wasn't something to get herself worked up over."I thought Clans were required to have an 'auto-acceptance policy' anyway."She looked towards Milo and gave him a slight nod. The easier the name, the easier her life was.

'Weekly tasks'? It was self-explanatory and Colorguard was sure she knew why the Clans had them, but she'd never had one of these. Hmm - a good choice if you needed something to do."I'll take one,"the tabby said, sitting down with an irritated flip of her pink bangs.
