Shypaw stepped out of the apprentice den, noticing she was the only one in camp.

Shypaw followed Zebrastar's scent to the camp entrance, then stopped. She must be hunting. the apprentice thought, sitting down to guard the camp.

i will! But, can you add "Apprentice of BambooClan" to the part that says Shypaw? I want to advertise BambooClan in my siggy.

Shypaw curled her fluffy tail around her paws. "Nothing much. Guarding camp..." she trailed off. "So, what's your name?" she asked, realizing this was a new apprentice.

shypaw flicked her brown ears and nodded. "Yup." she continued to guard the camp, waiting for her mentor to come back.

Shypaw shook her head, knowing Twisterpaw would probably do the same. "Can you show us?" she asked Faithsong.

Shypaw tilted her head. Hadn't Twisterpaw gotten a good night's rest?

Shypaw's eyes widened. "YOU caught that?" she gasped, gazing up at Zebrastar with big eyes.

Shypaw decided she was hungry too and grabbed a mouse before following Twisterpaw to the medicine cat den.

Shypaw gulped down the mouse and gazed at the medicine supplies. So many! How does Faithsong keep track? she thought, eyeing a leaf wrap hidden in the back. She pawed it out, sniffing it.

Shypaw clawed at the opening of the leaf wrap and it came apart. Inside were some bright red berries. Shypaw was still hungry, so she picked one up in her teeth and prepared to swallow.

Even though Zebrastar wasn't her mentor, Shypaw followed the Clan leader through the forest and saw her at the top of a bamboo stalk. "Hey, Zebrastar!" she called. "What are you doing?"

Zebrastar's yowl startled Shypaw, making her swallow before the leader could get the berry out. She look up at Zebrastar. "Was I not supposed to eat it?" she asked softly.

Shypaw shrank into the nest. "Will I die now?" she wailed, but she was cut short because her stomach started to hurt like a cat had dug its claws in her stomach.

Shypaw stiffened, but she relaxed when Zebrastar told her it was okay.
