After burying the mouse, Mistpaw continues on further into the forest when he hears slithering and hissing. He whipped around to find a snake several tail lenghts long emerging from beneath a rock behind him. It gives a warning hiss then lunges to strike. Mistpaw quickly dodges and the snake flies past him. The snake turns to face him, and lunges again, but Mistpaw had a strategy this time. As soon as the snake flew past him, Mistpaw leaped onto it, pinning it to the ground. The snake tried to bite, but couldn't moves its head. Mistpaw carefully killed it with a slash to its throat.

Mistpaw carries the snake back to camp and looks around

Mistpaw heads back into the forest and gathers all his prey. He can barely walk with his mouth so full. He returns to camp with his jaws heavy and makes a large pile of his prey next to Autumnpaw's. He sees Autumnpaw's impressive eagle catch and puts his massive rabbit on the top of his pile.

Mistpaw looked over at Autumnpaw and her freshkill pile. "Wow, you did great!", he mews, "And you caught an eagle too! Good job! Oh, and thanks Swiftkit!"

"Don't worry," Mistpaw says, "I'm sure when the time for your assessment comes, you'll be ready.", he meows to Swiftkit.

Mistpaw notices Autumnpaw blushing. "What'cha thinking about?", he purrs and flicks her back with his tail. He nodded to Swiftkit. He liked the kit's confidence. He would make a good apprentice someday.

Ooc: yep

Ic: "Oh, well if I had kits, I'd want them to be just like you.", he said, now blushing also, to to Autumnpaw.

"Alright,", purrs.

"I don't know.", meows Mistpaw. He looked around, but didn't see his mentor in the clearing. "Maybe he thought we were still hunting."

"Yeah!", meows Mistpaw, amused.

Ooc: We can't make anything happen to him though, we don't have Heartless's permission.

"Let's start out where I was hunting,", he mewed, "keep up if you can!", he meowed playfully.

Mistpaw heard Ivywing's voice and responded, "We're going to look for Lavastone."

Mistpaw followed Autumnpaw back to camp and sat next to Ivywing while he waited.

"Okay, let's go! And Swiftkit, please stay in camp!", he called.

Mistpaw turned to Ivywing with excitement shining in his eyes. "Yes! I would love that. Thanks Ivywing.", he meowed.

Mistcloud nodded respectfully.

Mistcloud meows playfully and takes off after Autumnmist.

Mistcloud walked up behind Autumnmist, just out of earshot of Lavastone, he whispered to her, "What's his problem today? He seems edgy."

"Okay Lavastone", Mistcloud replied to the deputy. Mistcloud began walking back to camp.

"Thank you Rabbitfoot", Mistcloud says before his vigil begins. He sat down beside Autumnmist and began his vigil.
