Alex nodded to Isabelle. "Those look great! Let's go pay for this at the register, then we can use the changing rooms in the back.", he said. He lead the way through the maze of products to the cashier. "How's it going man? I see you got yourself a new girlfriend.", the cashier, who happened to be Rick, one of his few friends at school, teased. "Pretty good, and this is Isabelle, but she's not my girlfriend. She's just a friend I met on the beach.", Alex replied. "Yeah, okay.", Rick said back, giving a wink to Isabelle. With a clink of change on the counter, the clothes were handed back over to Alex. "I'll meet you out front when you're done changing.", he said before heading back to one of the tropical themed dressing rooms.

Alex cleared his throat before explaining, "A friend, is someone who you enjoy being around and you hang out with them to have fun. A girlfriend, or boyfriend, is someone who you feely deeply connected to and want to spend all of your time around. It's when two people have a relationship held together by love for each other and is much stronger than just a friendship." He found it hard to explain the difference and his explanation ended up rather wordy. As a human, you just kind of knew the difference, but when asked to explain it, it was rather difficult.
-
Alex continued walking towards his house. "Well, like I said, there's my Dad, Mom, and my baby sister. You can just call my parents 'Mr. and Ms. Laoli'. Don't worry, I'm sure they'll like you just fine, especially Lily. She would love seeing the seashells in your hair." After a short walk, they arrived in front of Alex's house. It was average sized and resembled a nicely furnished condo. Alex opened the front door and called, "Mom! Dad! I'm home!" His mother and father were in the kitchen preparing homemade pizza. The delicious scents permeated the house. He could hear Lily's laugh and knew she had been helping as well. And, well, as when any four year old cooks, the food would most likely be everywhere. Alex motioned for Isabelle to follow him into the kitchen.
-
Alex's mother immediately set down the jar of red sauce she had been spreading over rolled dough and hurried over to Alex. "Welcome home!"She said before she gave him a large hug, then stood back and asked, "And who is this?" "Mom, this is Isabelle, a friend I met on the beach.", Alex said, introducing her. Alex's father came over and stood beside his mother. "It's nice to meet you dear.", his mom said kindly to Isabelle.
-
Alex's Dad said, "Please, call us Mary and Dan. You know what, the pizzas are just about done, so why don't you join us for dinner? We have plenty of food." The oven timer went off signalling that the first round of pizza was ready. Alex looked over at Isabelle, waiting to see what she would say.
-
"Great! Glad to have you.", his father replied emphatically. As Alex's Mother retrieved the first set of pizzas from the oven, Alex set up a new place setting at the table for Isabelle. He swiveled Lily's chair into place at the table just as his Mother set the pizzas down.
-
The moment Isabelle sat down, Lily's eyes widened. "Pretty!", she exclaimed, pointing at the shells and trinkets adorning Isabelle's hair. "Lily, you know it's rude to point.", Alex's mother said. After saying grace, Alex's dad said, "Let's eat!" Before taking a slice, he noticed Isabelle's deathly look. "Try a slice.", he said as he placed a piece on her plate, "You'll love it."
-
"Thank you very much.", Alex's dad replied. Alex grinned, nearly through his first slice. He couldn't even imagine what this world without water must be like to Isabelle. There were so many new foods to try, scents to smell, and things to see. "So where are you from Isabelle?", his mother asked. Alex tensed up, his arm tightening.
-
Alex breathed a sigh of relief at Isabelle's quick thinking. When all of the pizza was eaten and the talking finished, Alex's father said, "It was great meeting you, Isabelle. Feel free to come back any time." Alex stood and said, "Thank you for the pizza Mom and Dad, it was great! I'll be home as soon as I walk Isabelle back."
-
Alex walked alongside Isabelle down the side of the road. "So what'd you think?", he asked hopefully. He wasn't sure how she would feel about his family. Even here, a block from the beach, there was some remnants of sand lining the streets.

OOC: Okay, when they get back to camp, Sparkstar will hold a meeting.
IC: Sparkstar lead the way back to camp, checking periodically to see if Violet was keeping up. She knew that some of her Clan wouldn't like the idea of welcoming a kittypet, but they would learn to. She felt this was the right thing to do, deep in her heart.
-
Sparkstar arrived into the Clan camp and looked around. After a moment's thinking, she called out, "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the high rock!" Sparkstar padded lightly across the stepping stones to where the highrock stood in the middle of the pool beneath the waterfall. She waited patiently for the cats to gather.

Matthew stood stiffly at the altar. Juliet truly did look beautiful today, but he knew this wasn't right. His heart clenched as the Priest asked Juliet those fateful words that would seal their marriage. He glanced out over the crowd, noticing his mother weeping joyfully. Matthew wished, right then and there, that the wedding would be thrown off, the marriage cancelled. This just wasn't meant to be.
-
Sparkstar waited until all of the Clan that could gather had gathered. She stood tall and began. "We have had many perils recently, but our Clan has survived through strength, comradery, and bravery. Everyone has pitched in and I thank you for that. But let's forget about the past right now and focus on the news at hand. Violet was discovered on our territory. She may be a kittypet, but I have seen the fighting spirit within her to become a warrior, she has no home to return to, and so, I have decided to take her into our Clan." She paused slightly before continuing.
-
OOC: I've changed my mind, I think I will stay in this RP, it's starting to get interesting! ;)
IC: Matthew stood dumbstruck at the altar for several seconds more, but one of the guards soon advanced towards him. The guard held a massive, heavy longsword that required both hands to hold. He would be slow at attacking, but if he landed a hit, it would most likely be fatal. Matthew drew the ceremonial sword that hung at his side and circled towards the guard. The large brute swung the sword mightily and just missed Matthew's neck. As Matthew ducked and leaned, the guard continued trying to slice him to pieces. Eventually, Matthew spotted an opening as the guard followed through on an attack. Leaping forward, Matthew stabbed the guard between the ribs. The guard collapsed and Matthew pulled his bloodied sword from the corpse. He looked around frantically for other enemies.
-
OOC: Accepted as soon as you give her a name :)
-
Matthew heard the sharp whistle of arrows flying by him. The guards had targeted him and he was in the open. He turned and ran full speed to duck behind a stone wall. Just as safety was in his grasp, he felt pain explode in his shoulder. An arrow had found its mark.
-
After her pause, Sparkstar continued her speech. "Violet will be trained in the way of our warrior ways until she is ready. Who will volunteer to be her new mentor?", she asked, looking around for any takers.
-
Matthew gasped as the pain spread through his shoulder. From around the corner, another guard advanced towards him holding a wickedly curved blade. Matthew gritted his teeth and acted defeated. As the guard triumphantly advance, Matthew leapt forward and ran his blade through the guard's stomach. The guard collapsed lifelessly and fell to the ground. Matthew grabbed the arrow from it's shaft and attempted to pull it from his shoulder, but couldn't do so without further damaging his arm. He snapped part of the shaft off so it wasn't sticking out. He wrapped the wound, with the arrow still in his arm, with cloth from his now bloodied shirt sleeve.
-
Sparkstar nodded, her eyes showing her thanks. Turning to Violet, she said, "Then from now on, until you recieve your warrior name, you will be known as Violetpaw. I trust that you, Cherryfrost, will teach your apprentice the warrior code as I have taught you."
