Redslash ducked, but Hope's hind claw caught her ear. Snarling in fury, she shoved her head and shoulders under Hope, arching her back in the hopes of knocking the she-cat off balance.

As Redslash felt claws dig in to her pelt, she pushed off the ground with her back legs, rolling both cats over. Keenly aware that her belly was exposed, Redslash writhed, yanking herself from Hope's grip before turning and lunging towards her exposed belly.

Lilacmist watched the mother and daughter, eyes wide, heart pounding, fur standing on end.

Aquastar swallowed back pain as she saw what the relationship between her mother and father could have been like. She pushed those thoughts to the back of her mind and forced a purr. Hopefully Powerclan would soon have another litter of kits.

Horrified, Lilacmist dashed over to Moonblaze. She did not care what Leopardspots had said; she would not let her friend die. She scooped up some moss and, being no medicine cat, haphazardly pressed it to Moonblaze's wounds. "Please," she whined. "Don't die."

Aquastar was hunting. But, never waning to leave the clan, she was also in camp. She pricked her ears as Duskwing ran off after Shadowflight.

Anger, an alien feeling, welled up inside Lilacmist. Unsheathing her claws, she turned, cutting Leopardstar off and snarling, "what do you think you're doing, coming hear to mindlessly kill. Wolfstar will rip your pelt off. I will rip your pelt off."

Aquastar had taken Dawnflight's advice, at least, part of it. She had morphed into an eagle instead. When she heard their conversation, she let out a relieved and happy coo before turning back into a cat and padding back towards camp. She could not let her past get in the way of happiness for her deputy.
