[b]"That's rude," |
| he remarked, ice blue eyes shining in the dim light of the room. "Especially after I was so willing to teach you. Really, I'm offended," he scolded playfully, nearly smiling in the process but not quite. Maybe teaching Cyrus [i]basic |
| German wouldn't be such a bad idea. He probably heard Theo say enough of it, so really the whole pronunciation aspect shouldn't have been too difficult to grasp. Seriously, German was way easier than English in his honest opinion. There was too much to English; German was pretty simple, but maybe he was just saying that because it was the language of motherland, the language he'd grown up speaking. It probably had something to do with that anyway. Shooting the other a mock glare, he then pushed him away albeit softly; definitely not hard enough to send him stumbling or anything. "Well, it is what it is. I don't lie," Theo shrugged, locking eyes with Cyrus momentarily before the shorter male looked away. Even if the other wasn't always right, at least he tried, and that was more than most were willing to do. Theo could relate to that in a way, but his problem was that succeeding... wasn't quite enough. He had to be the best, or else he beat himself up until he was the best. It was safe to say that the platinum blond strived for perfection, and nothing else was worth his time or effort. "I don't doubt," he mused. He probably knew enough about him anyway, considering Theo told him everything. And that wasn't an understatement. If he had a problem, he always went straight to Cyrus, and no one else but Cyrus. Granted, he was close to other people, but not in the way he was with the other male. They were tight and practically joined at the hip for that matter. If Cyrus went then so did he which was saying something since Theo rarely followed. He wss independent and paved his own path, but there was just something about the other that kept pulling him in. To save the mushy details, the bottom line was he wasn't afraid to tell Cyrus anything. So maybe that was why he said that he was leaving so easily and without the slightest bit of hesitance. Cyrus would understand, right? It was obvious to Theo that was upset, but... he had to realize that this was what was best for him. They still had nearly half of the school year left, and staying with Emory wasn't an option anymore. Hell, his brother probably wouldn't even notice he was gone until someone bothered to ask. Did that thought hurt? Yes, but he'd gotten over Emory hating his guts. Regardless he was still his brother, Theo still loved him; he just wasn't going to get himself killed over staying with him. "You knew I would say that," Theo amended. More money would have been nice, but practically taking it fron someone else... just really didn't settle well with him. At all. Maybe he would have kept his mouth shut if he had known Cyrus was going to get so upset. Then again, he... he said he loved him back, and for a brief momenr it felt like an immense weight had been lifted off of his chest. It felt like he could breath, and it felt amazing. If the situation had been a better one, Theo might've even been elated. But of course it wasn't, and he was stressed, and Cyrus was crying, and everything was a mess. Feeling Cyrus's arms wind their way around him in an instant, Theo sighed before resting his head against the other's. He gently kneaded his fingers into his back, trying to calm him down, but Theo had never been the best at comforting, mostly because he just wasn't used to it. He did try for Cyrus's sak though. Seeing the other so distraught was a lot more upsetting than Theo would have liked to admit, so he simply did his best to calm Cyrus down. Not that he was exactly hysterical, but seeing him cry hadn't exactly been on Theo's agenda. It was... a bit confusing to say the least when Cyrus said that he wanted to go with him. "What?" he asked, dark eyebrows as he pulled back just enough to look down at the other. "Cyrus, you can't-- you can't just..." He couldn't just leave with him. He needed to stay home and finish school and do something with his life, and-- and not waste it with Theo out of all people. At the same time though, the other sounded so desperate; on the other hand, he also sounded like he wasn't goinf to take "no" for an answer. So after swallowing down his better judgement, Theo then answered with a, "Let's go pack your bags then." They were leaving tonight, and Theo wasn't going to change his mind about that. That way they could be out of the city and then some by morning; they could could take his car, and Cyrus could sleep (he looked like he needed it), but right now they needed to move. So much for his lone wolf strategy. |
