Larkpaw didn't like the sound of Ice Cold's voice. He did look at Ice Cold when he addressed him, not that it would do him any good. He didn't like the way that Ice Cold mentioned the end part of his name, either. He wasn't named that; to his leader, he was still Larkkit. As he watched his siblings receive there, he added slightly that he was now Larkpaw, pretending the leader had said it. Larkpaw didn't know why, but the end of his name, the paw, gave him pride. No, he did not like Ice Cold.

"I don't want to go with you," Larkpaw said in a low voice. He wasn't sure Ice Cold heard. His face hardened.

Coppers voice seemed to sing to Larkpaw. It was so pretty! But of course he wouldn't let her think he thought that. He didn't have anywhere to go, and his desire for death was leaving him, especially now that he realized how painful it would be to starve. This place Copper was talking of - Thicket Abode? - seem like a good place to try.

For the first time Larkpaw realized what a mess he was. He felt the thorns and leafs and broken twigs sticking out of his coat, prickling his skin. He turned his head and removed a twig where he felt it on his skin and then smoothed down the fur with is his tongue.

"I think I'd like to visit this place where you live, Copper." Larkpaw mewed while he continued to pull debry of his coat, pretending not to be interested. Copper, it felt strange saying her name. "I want to see what it's like."

He liked using the word see, especially when talking about himself. It made him feel normal, even if he wouldn't literally "see" anything. He remembered when other kits would snicker or giggle when he'd say something like that. They usually where close enough for him to pounce without completely missing them, which he did. He'd claw and snarl and bite any part of them he could get his teeth on. The other kit would usually win, but they'd leave him alone after that. One time luck had lead his teeth to the other kits throat. He wasn't sorry, even after the stern lecture from his mother and the sharp words of the medicine cat. He did say sorry, but only because his mother made him.

OOC: Sorry about that little history lesson on Larkpaw XP. I just thought of it on the spot and had to write it down.

The flap to the cat door swung open and Marble stepped out. In her mouth she carried a ball; at first glance, she looked like a dog! Then it fell out of her mouth and she guided it off the flat stone behind the twoleg nest. She sat in the snow with the ball resting infront of her. "Anyone want to play?" she called.

Larkpaw growled slightly at what Ice Cold said, but other wise ignored the two other loners. He stood and walked to where his nose and ears told him Copper was. "Let's go." He tried to hide the eagerness in his voice. "I won't need a rest."

OOC: If you want you can make a thread right in the camp or have one in thicket adobe territory where they have a conversation while the travel or something.

OOC- Let's just go straight to Thicket Adobe. You make the thread.

Larkpaw trotted Copper's footsteps before there was time for them to vanish. He didn't want to to make a fool of himself in front of these loners. Carefully, he followed Copper, using his nose and ears.

"So, ya wana play?" Marble asked, flicking the ball in the air and then catching it in her mouth. Her brown eyes looked at Drizzle, and the cushion ball rested in her mouth, giving her the slight appearance of a dog.

Marble reared up once more and hit the ball with her forepaw once more, sending it sailing at Drizzle. "Ha! ha! Take that!" she mewed. She didn't seem to notice anything about have Drizzle was being treated by Spots.
