Red sniffed the air. Rabbit! he thought before racing after it, not knowing he was crossing into the tribes territory.

Red pounced, almost missing the rabbit. If my jump had been any shorter . . . he left the thought hanging in his mind like ivy. Red trotted back to "his" den. He lay just outside it and bit "his" rabbit, which wasn't really his, for it had been caught on Tribe territory. Red didn't know of the border, and was therefore immune to his rule-breakings.

The rabbit exploded into a delicious scent. Red tore into it, allowing the meat to last in his mouth. When his meal was finished, he lay in the Sun's gentle rays.
