Sunpaw decided to stop worrying over Briarthorn and deal with more pressing matters. Many cats were injured and she had almost no herbs to treat them with. She began to worry about that when an even more urgent thought entered her mind.
    Blazestar was dead.
Staticblaze, the deputy, was still out on his secret journey given to him by StarClan (wink wink. Staticblaze, if you come back on, you are allowed to return from the journey at any moment. 'Til then... =) Sorry, we just really need an active deputy!).
No leader; no deputy. What would happen to MistClan?

OOC: I don't know if I'm allowed to do that. Squishy is still grounded and I can't really speak for Staticblaze. -.-
This was the only solution to the problem that I could think of so if I'm stepping out of bounds please tell me!!

Meadowpaw still sat in the back, wanting to help, but too shy to do anything. Her friends were all fighting and here she was, doing nothing. Her ears folded back in shame. Silently moving away from the Medicine Den, she padded a bit closer to the fighting cats.

OOC: And... three hours later and nobody has responded yet XD. I guess my time zone is different from your guys's 'cause I still got an hour 'til I sleep.

Moonshadow saw Blazepool for a brief moment before she flickered out of view. Dipping her head sadly, she gazed into the small pool in front of her and watched as Blazepool journeyed through the Dark Forest.

Meadowpaw tried to sleep in the Apprentice's Den, but was too worried over Blazepool and Treestar to do so. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't get a wink of sleep.

Briarthorn had been floating in darkness for an eternity -- or what it felt like to him. Everything was the same. Perhaps he would spend all his life here in this limbo world. He drifted about, forever trapped.
Suddenly, he saw a dim, dim light somewhere to his right. He looked at it, confused by what it was. The light was hardly visible; so dim, in fact, that he wouldn't have been able to see it if he weren't surrounded by total darkness. But, it was there. Beautiful light. For the first time since he had come here, he was filled with hope. Maybe there was an escape!
But the light was so far away...

Sunpaw kept Briarthorn's head cool with wet moss. She didn't know what else to do. "Please, wake up soon. I can't lose another cat."

Briarthorn padded towards the light, but he didn't feel like he was getting any closer. Pawstep after pawstep, he continued further. Time didn't exist.
After countless pawsteps, he noticed that the light seemed to be growing stronger. No, not stronger. Closer. He was going to make it! He heard a voice coming from it, but it was so indistinct that he couldn't tell what it was saying. All the while, he headed closer...

OOC: Finally caught up with all the pages! Woo!!!

IC: Meadowpaw sat in the back of the Apprentice's Den, wondering where her mentor was (and who it was :3). Blazepool was dead. Treestar was knocked out. Dovepaw had left on an emergeny journey to moon pool. Moonshadow, if you're listening, please protect the clan.

OOC: I've decided Moonshadow was Meadopaw's mother before she became a medicine cat.

OOC: So, Blazepool is alive? Like, back on Earth kinda thing?

IC: Meadowpaw walked out of the den and went to the Medicine Den to see if Dovepaw needed help. Typically, she was too shy to ask anyone, but she thought of Dovepaw as friendly. "Hey, need any help? It must be hard with Blazepool d... gone."

Briarthorn felt a nudge in his side, like some cat was urging him onward. When he looked, however, he saw nothing but darkness. A familiar scent flooded his nose. Blazestar he thought. But he still couldn't see him.

OOC: I gotta go in, like, five minutes. Won't be back for another few hours. *=)

IC: Meadowpaw looked up at Treestar, eager to hear the announcement.

OOC: Gone for the next few hours.

IC: As Briarthorn approached the light, he suddenly felt resistance. The closer he got, the harder it was to press forward. Almost like... an invisible wall. Briarthorn pushed forward, farther, harder. Eventually, after much struggle and tugging, he approached this golden archway. The inside was filled with the light he had been following, so bright he couldn't see past it. He wasn't sure how, but he knew he had to go through it. He just couldn't press further any harder. Something was dragging him away and it took all his might to remain in that one spot.

Meadowpaw joined in the throng. "Yellowpaw, Yellowpaw!"
After the cheering had died down, she responded (finally) to Stormshadow. "Okay. Hunting sounds good."

Meadowpaw followed quietly behind Stormshadow. The forest was full of prey; bushes rustled, birds sang, and the air seemed filled with the scent of prey. To top it all off, the sun was high and made this the perfect day to go hunting.

Briarthorn felt an immense power to the side of him, but no matter how hard he looked, he could see nothing. It felt encouraging, urging him onward. Using the rest of his strength, Briarthorn charged forward into the golden archway, finally breaking through the invisible barrier. He felt himself being sucked down a tunnel. At first slow, but gradually gaining speed until he was flying past everything around him. The golden light around him intensified and began to blind him. This is it. I'm going home.
At the end of the tunnel, he saw something different than all the light around him. It looked green-ish and brown, almost like... MistClan! Briarthorn was hurtling down the passageway of light, seconds away from entering camp. Then, at the last possible moment, he felt something blast him in the side and he side-tracked from the tunnel. What was it? A barrier? Or, worse, another cat.
Either way, he fell just mouse-lengths away from the end and smashed into a wall. He blacked out for a moment. When he regained his senses, he found himself in the Medicine Den next to Sunpaw.
"Sunpaw!" he yowled and ran to greet his sister. Oddly enough, she didn't respond. In fact, she didn't seem to have heard him. "Sunpaw?" Briarthorn asked. He padded right in front of her, but she didn't make eye contact. Almost as if he were invisble.
Panic began to fill him. He ran into the middle of camp. "Hello? Can anyone see me? Blazestar? Silvermole? Anyone??" Just in front of him was Drowningpaw, who seemed to be walking out of camp. "Drowningpaw, can you se--"
He was cut off as Drowningpaw walked straight through him and out of camp. It was a strange sensation; like he didn't belong in this world. What happened to me?

OOC: Sorry for the long post, guys. If you actually got through reading it then kudos to you! =) Anyway, I'll be gone all Sunday. See ya on Monday!

Holy cow, that is reeeaaalllly long... =P
I guess I was just in the mood to write. Ah, well. Briarthorn can't interact with cats in MistClan or StarClan -- he's stuck somewhere in between if that makes sense.

OOC: One day, guys. I was gone for one day! =)

IC: Sunpaw was running around hectically in the Medicine Den. "Almost out, almost out, almost out..." The most recent attack with the rogues had left her den practically out of herbs to use. The only thing left was a dry burdock root for rat bites, but that wasn't going to be useful if they came back. She needed herbs now. Unfortunately, all the warriors were busy either hunting, guarding, or sleeping. All the kits were gone and the apprentices with their mentors. Sunpaw desperately needed help to restock the Medicine Den. She couldn't leave camp without protection or a rogue might attack her, and then she would be completely helpless if the rogues attacked. So, she simply paced the den.

Briarthorn, after a few long moments of panicking, finally understood what was happening. He was somehow stuck somewhere between StarClan and real life, able to see both worlds, but unable to interact with either. He had watched the battle between MistClan and WhispClan without being able to lift a paw to help. The worst, he thought, was watching them take all the kits out of the nursery. Time and time again, he had tried to make contact with any sort of cat, but all his attempts had failed. He growled in frustration. Slightly disheartened, he walked into the Medicine Den to see Sunpaw pacing back and forth. "I wish I could help you, but I can't," he meowed to Sunpaw, who obviously didn't hear.
As he padded to the back, he could see himself sleeping in a den Sunpaw had made. It was slightly disturbing to be able to see yourself without water, but there really wasn't anything he could do about it. The good thing about this was that in this state, he didn't feel hunger or pain or need sleep. He could keep watch all night if he wanted, but it wouldn't do any good. Sighing, he lied down, trying to think of a solution.

OOC: There! All caught up. I'll do smaller posts in the future... =)

    OOC: The flood, the flood!

IC: Meadowpaw looked up at her mentor Stormshadow (finally), admiring his catch. I wish I could be that good... She saw two dead mice in a pile where he had caught them. Seeing him hunting something else, she decided to try and catch something of her own. She scented the air. Almost immediately, the smell of squirrel flooded her senses. To her right, a small squirrel was crunching on a nut, too busy to notice her. Meadowpaw dropped down into her hunter's crouch and began to pad forward. She planted each paw step down carefully, making sure not to make a sound. At the last moment, her hind leg snapped a leaf and startled the squirrel, making it bolt up the nearest tree. "Mouse dung!" she yowled.
