    Name: Aaron
He is a scholar and extremely talented mage. He has the ability to copy any spell he has seen or read about. His book, which has been magically condensed, is enchanted to automatically record every spell that he knows. He is a werewolf from a clan in a far away country and has an accent similar to that of Executioner.

Aaron approached the city of Gonbor in the mountains far to the west of Queen Anastasia's castle. Gonbor's walls were by far the biggest Aaron had ever seen. Even the fortresses of the far north couldn't compare to these. Inside the town, all of the buildings were made of stone carved from the mountains. In the center of the city, there were enough barracks to house 1,000 soldiers, though there were only 500 there currently because there had been a long period of peace in the mountains.

Aaron found a small inn near the north wall of Gonbor. It only had three rooms for rent but was clean and comfortable. The food was far better than what he had been eating for the last few months while he was traveling. "Perhaps I'll stay here a while and relax before I continue my journey," thought Aaron.

Aaron was sitting at a table in the corner of the inn having dinner. He noticed a strange man in red at the bar. The strange man didn't seem human. In fact, he almost seemed otherworldly. Aaron could tell that there would be trouble if this man, or whatever it was, stayed in the city. He got up from his table and walked over to the bar. "Could I kindly ask you to leave, sir?" Aaron said to the red clothed man, "The people here seem upset by your presence. I noticed a pleasant looking inn a few miles out of town. You could stay there instead."

Aaron was suddenly very glad he perfected using blink without saying the spell. He used it to teleport across the room. "Everyone get out as fast as you can," Aaron told the other people in the inn as he pulled a long dagger with a black blade and a book out from under his cloak. His enchanted book opened and flipped to the exact page that Aaron wanted. He chanted the spell and the wood that made up the top of the bar seemed to come alive and sent out shoots of wood that wrapped around the otherworldly man. Aaron closed the book and slowly approached with his dagger ready.

Aaron was shocked. That was the language that shadic creatures used. He had some experience with these creatures and could speak their language thanks to an incident a few years earlier in another country. The situation was far worse than he originally thought. Aaron never imagined he would be dealing with these horrid creatures again. This creature had to be a high ranking scout sent before an invasion. Aaron hurried over to the creature and asked, "Nehw si eht noisavni?" He didn't expect a straight answer, but he had to try.

Aaron started chanting a spell to rip memories out of peoples minds. He wasn't sure if it would work on something from the Shadow Barad, but he had to try before it exploded. He had to know if he would have time to warn the locals and help the army prepare for an invasion. If not, he would have to attempt to travel to the Shadow Barad himself and prevent the creatures from coming through into Gonbor. Aaron had the spell used to travel there, but he wasn't sure if it would work for him because he wasn't shadic himself. He hoped he wouldn't have to find out.

Aaron ducked behind his cloak to protect himself from the acidic blood. He cast some water magic to put out the fires before they spread. Aaron ran as quickly as he could to the barracks and found the captain of the guard. "Get your men ready to defend the city," he told the man."There is an invasion of the worst creatures imaginable coming. They are going to pop out of every shadow and dark spot in the city. You should evacuate the civilians as well. I going to try to buy us as much time as possible." Without waiting for a response, Aaron walked off and started to prepare himself to enter the Shadow Barad. He hoped it would work because the people of Gonbor wouldn't stand a chance if it didn't. He pulled out his book, which flipped open to the page with the spell to enter the Shadow Barad, and started to chant the spell. When he reached the end of the spell, he held his breath, expecting some sort of backfire that would kill him. Aaron closed his eyes and, when he opened them, found himself in Gonbor. Though it wasn't quite the same. this Gonbor was darker and more evil in appearance. It had worked. He was in the Shadow Barad. Aaron prepared for the hard fight he knew was heading right for him.

Aaron didn't like the looks of those strange creatures. He launched a lightning bolt at one of them, but it had no effect. He knew that these creatures were beyond his abilities to fight, so he quickly used the spell to leave the Shadow Barad. Aaron was upset that he wouldn't be able to stop the creatures from emerging in Gonbor. He hoped that the civilians had time to escape. Aaron went to the center of the city so that he would be able to get to where the invasion starts quickly and waited for it to come.

    name: Erick
    gender: male
history/training: training from multiple groups specializing in assassination
    group: mercenary
weaponry: XM2010, Desert Eagle .50 AE, combat knife
    appearance:

As he scanned the city, Aaron noticed a hooded man walking towards the center of town. He was wearing the silver trench coat of a high ranking member of the Barada, one who was still at least somewhat human, and had a shadic creature following him. Aaron rushed out to the man with the intention of killing him before he could do any damage. When he was close enough to see his face, Aaron stopped. The man was a member of his pack. They were like brothers before Aaron left to expand his knowledge as a scholar. "You are part of the Barada?" he asked him, the shock obvious on his face.

"I guess that's the only way you would still be able to fully think for yourself," Aaron said, "I have been reasonably well, though I just got into the second worst bar fight I've been in and this city is about to be invaded by the Barada." A rumor Aaron had heard many years ago came to mind and he had to ask, "Is it true that you killed off most of the pack?"

Erick was walking down a side street when he saw Dima on the street he was heading towards. He hurried to catch up to Dima. When he reached him, he asked, "Any excitement over here?"

"We'll have to finish this conversation later," Aaron said to Executioner. He could tell that this man was being affected by the madness that comes right before the invasion. Aaron pulled out his dagger and threw it at the man. It buried itself hilt deep in the mans head. Aaron retrieved his dagger. " What do you say we do this in the way of our pack? It's been forever since I've been able to transform and go wild," he said as he walked back to Executioner.

Erick put his rifle on his back and pulled out his Desert Eagle and combat knife. He supported his gun hand with the wrist of his knife hand and followed Dima, ready for anything. There was an old dumpster knocked over towards the back of the alley. The groaning was coming from behind it. As they got got closer to the dumpster, it got louder. Erick tapped Dima on his shoulder and made a sign to indicate that there was at least four behind the dumpster.

Erick sighed. Dima was always like this. They could have done it quick and silent, the way he preferred, but Dima had to alert them. Not that it mattered much. Dima could obviously handle it, and it was just as easy for Erick. Erick shot the one farthest away in the head. The .50 caliper destroyed the zombie's head. He then rushed the other one with his knife. He jammed it up under it's chin, making the blade come out the top of it's head. He quickly yanked his knife out and swung it hard at the zombie's neck, decapitating it. "That's the the first time they've been this close to the compound in quite a while," Erick said to Dima while he pulled a cloth out of his pocket and cleaned his knife.

Aaron started to transform as well. He pulled out his dagger and threw his clothes aside. He looked down the street and saw more people who had gone mad and a few shadic creatures starting to emerge. "Let's go," Aaron said. He ran down the street and started killing the mad people. He hadn't bothered checking that Executioner had followed him because he knew that he had. It was a terrifying sight. The soldiers of Gonbor came because they heard fighting but were afraid to get very close. The shadic creatures started targeting Aaron and Executioner. They were the smaller types of creatures and could not stand before the two of them.

Erick walked back to the compound, alert for anything out of the ordinary. Luckily, nothing happened and he made it back without any problems. Erick climbed up one of the towers nest to the gate and watched the city. He noticed something out of the corner of his eye a few blocks away. A group of heavily armed rogues were heading towards the compound. "Dima, you had better get up here. Looks like heavily armed trouble is headed this way," Erick said into his radio.

Aaron stopped for a moment. He had just remembered something. "Executioner," he yelled over to his partner,"These creatures and the madness comes a few days before the actual invasion. I can't believe I forgot." He slashed the neck of a madman who had come close to him. "We should fall back to the soldiers so that we don't waste our energy on these small creatures."
