When the tickling stopped and he seemed to fall over in a fit of laughter, Flute, still with a huge grin on her face rolled over and went to her big brother. Without hesitation she jumped upon his belly and tried to mimic as best he could the tickling he was going with his paws though her movements were a lot smaller and finer then his but she didn't know if that was an advantage or a disadvantage but nevertheless she tried her best. When the tide came in she was knocked off of her brother and the water carried her up the beach and little but she still returned to him though a little wet and cold.

If it were to turn out that the only person that Flute could relax around and have some fun was Blue then that was ok, she would work with that but had she not found him she knew that she would still be tucked up under a blanket in the nursery, quaking her pelt off in terror every time that someone so much as walked past the entrance. She still did that, sometimes, but at least if Blue was not doing something that she could not reach him at then he would always be there to run back to and Blue cuddles were good. When he laughed she squeaked, when he wiggled she tickled, when he was happy she was too and the cub couldn't ask for anything better, even if she wasn't mute. When taken by the sea she thought for a moment that she would be take right out into the ocean, never to see her brother again or her clan but stanched away again by some strange force. Once dropped the cub wasted no time in shaking off a little and sprinting back. For what might be the first and only time in her life she looked rather unimpressed by his sudden out burst of laughing when she was stood there freezing and dripping wet but this was resolved by the reassuring nuzzle which she replied to with a lick of his nose. The youngster didn't like the fact that he had moved dens at all, she had no one to cuddle up to at night anymore and going outside at night was scary. If her nightmares got very bad then of course she would but otherwise most of the night was spent cowering in the corner, praying that the others wouldn't hear. That didn't mean that she would not go with him now to his new den but it still wasn't the nursery. The kitten hauled herself upon Blues back and settled down in a saddle like lying position with her tail wrapped around his body so that she wouldn't fall off. Maybe he would take her like this, maybe he wouldn't but it was still quite fun to be this tall for a little while.

There was only one way that cub had ever seen her big brother and that happy, almost care free and upbeat because that's who he was, there was no difference ever. Some would say that being as naive as she was to real life but Flute had none the ends of claws, the daggers of words and the venom that could be set the dragons within people, it was her innocence that protected her still though from full understanding that in everyone, even the good and the worthy there were still demons set to destroy all that stood out of favor in their mind, even when if was the honest friends around them. The youngster had been within the clan less then the week and upon the earth 2 moons, to not know how big this promotion was for her brother could be forgiven but the problem she could not interrupt was why some did not believe in his ability to be a shaman. Was she not proof that he did? Out of the kindness of his heart, he had been the one to take her under his wind and adopt her a sister? Who else had offered that? Who else in the clan had thrown her what was ultimately a life line? With out him her days would be spent cowering the back of the nursery until StarClan finally found her and took her without a care from anybody. Her lonely heart would have broken her, her would killed her but Blue had saved her before damage could be done. In her icy blue eyes he was her hero and would be forever without faultier.
Words would never express the love she had for him, nor her simple gestures but she wished they could when she saw him upon the rock in the sunset. Without even being near the cub could sense sadness stirring though her brother and she wanted to help but all she could offer was a nuzzle to his ear and an affectionate lick to his nose as had been done so many times before as tears steamed in her eyes. The little one just could not make sense of or accept her brothers sadness.

OOC. I was researching this actually, just because I was wondering but...Female Snow leopards can grow to be about 60cms tall where as male huskies can be 64cm! Not that much a difference but just in case you were interested :S Sorry :S
It really was weird, sitting on top of Blue and feeling so tall because everything she knew on the ground looked so small and dinky, it wasn't like standing independently at all. But by jove! It was fun, especially when they were trotting along the beach and she bounced up and down on his back as they went across the sands toward his new 'home', though in Flute's mind, that was still arguable. The way she flopped around his back, looking a little like a teddy bear or novelty stuffed rucksack but even still she grabbed on tightly to his scruff, not so that it would hurt him but to keep herself on.

It became clear as they approached that there were a number differences between the nursery den and the shamans den, in her eyes the shamans den was quite a lot brighter and friendlier looking then the sometimes dark and drab nursery but that had only been last night, the first night away from her big brother. It had been torturous and sometimes she had wanted to take the plunge so that she could run across the camp but it had been quite windy and that had put her off. Quite easily she slipped off with a squeak into his nest, upon which she snuggled up in the Blue scented fluffy things and curled up as the yellow scarf came down upon her so that she was bound tightly by the softness. Slowly the little one was calming, even purring a relaxed hum when a warm tongue started clean her up in way that she had not experienced since she was very small and with her parents still.

Willingly the small cub let herself be picked up and moved by her brother, her limbs hanging down as she was held between his teeth in a way that didn't hurt but instead comforted in a rather surprising way. The soft spiral of fluffy fur engulfed her in a protective shield but still she quivered a little with the feeling that her big brother was upset. If he was upset then she was going to be upset because her big brother was the best thing that had ever happened to her. As he began to brighten up, her smile grew and grew until once again she was purring softly and rubbing her cheek against his warmly because it was so much better to see him happy rather then down in the dumps. He always brightened the world up, at least hers!

At first the telepathy did hit her hard, it felt like a ton of bricks made of fear had been throw at her mind and she was just expected to deal with it. It made her stumble back a little toward Blue even though she knew what was happening because they had done it before but instinct told her it was too much like being possessed. When first using this method of communication it was a terrifying experience for the young cub who was willing to injure herself in order to illuminate the foreign voice within her head but after a little bit of calming down and a little bit of talking all was well again though it still made her feel a little on edge, even now. After a moment of just getting used to the feeling again she looked up to the base of Pocketwatch's paws and thought about what she wanted to say. "Mmm...Uhh...What is like to hunt?....Can you hunt very well?"

It all felt like one massive flashback to the time when she had been possessed and Flute didn't know how to handle that fear exactly so it spiraled out of control into something much bigger in her head. Generally, Pocketwatch did not scare her, the ghost tabby had been there for her on more then one occasion and had been kind to her, it was the terror of what she thought she could do that scared her out of her wits. General naivety to the strength and abilities of powers shielded her from truly knowing what they were all about or understanding them and would do until she learned that they were a common thing that was not to be feared. Maybe one day she would find that she had powers of her own. But for now she slowly gravitated toward the shaman trainee, cautious that everything she knew was wrong and that Pocket really was out to harm her but still wanting that motherly warmth that was carried in her soothing words. Once by the tabby she tucked her head beneath the dark colored femme's and purred softly as she hesitantly began to calm.

For a short time the cub made no movements for anyone, she did not blink an eye lid or flutter her tail for she was utterly content just lying here with her bother, not having to care about the crowd gathering around for once because her body was tucked up in amongst Blue's fur, the safest place on earth. There was no reason for her to relinquish her place of mind or body. However some of those around her did start to ask questions, started directing things at her and she had no choice but to open her big blue eyes and look around at those who seemed to be smiling down at her. For what reason she did not know, it rather frightened her that they insisted on staring specifically at her for she did not understand that she was 'cute'. Of course the leopardess knew what 'cute' was, squirrels were cute for example but they were also tasty and not so cute when torn to shreds. Hedgehogs were cute but spiky, they didn't make very good play friends for that reason. The youngster saw no reason for her to be 'cute', she was just herself but quite clearly it was a complement so brought her head out from behind Blues paws and gently nudged LighteningStrike's cheek with the tip of her nose in thanks before turning her mind to Harrierbeat's question. In demonstration she stood but wrapped her long tail around Blues paw for her own comfort and padded a little upon the sand until from it came a much smaller, pale colored shell which she picked up then placed by the red tabby's feet. Without a moment's hesitation she ran back to Blue ad curled up between his paws again, a little closer this time so that his fur engulfed and wrapped around her.

It was clear to see that Blue was born for looking after little ones, he was so kind and gentle and sweet and affectionate, how was it not possible for children not to adore him? Flute certainly did, there would never be a day when she did not run to him, hide under his mass of fur or play if he felt up for it. Anything that Blue did the leopardess was determined to forever be right there beside him, no matter what it was. They were brother and sister. End of story. Shut the book. If it came to the point when his adoptive mother did have children and Blue decided to help, well, that was inconceivable for her, that just had not been thought about, the possibility of someone else. It was inevitable that one day there would be but the cub had not thought about it, she didn't want to think about it. For now they had each other to themselves though and as he curled around her, her body curled up into a tight knot within the center of the soft warmth with a purr that was slowly becoming quieter and quieter. The tail she had wrapped around his paw started to unravel itself as the cub found sleep slumber falling upon her while her brother held her still within the confines of his safety. Soon her gentle snores and night noises replaced her purs, Flute was asleep.

"Ok...Thats good..." she hummed mentally, as she pondered over the idea herself. Maybe it would not be a bad idea to have a go at blind hunting sometime, even if it was just an exercise to see how well she could use her other senses that were not her eyes. It would be quite hard she supposed, maybe even impossible for a little while as she tried to get the hang of things but it was possible that in the future she might be able to do it. A random skill. But not just now, the woods were dark and creepy and Blue would need to come with her. Hunting was good fun, if it was only small slow creatures that were a little stupid.

I kind of would like one. I have taken a liking to her even though I have never had jinora officially meet her. The problem is my current muselessness. I hardly want to post in any thread, and when I do, post, its not as advanced as I want it to be,

Thats fine, who would you like to make the thread?

There were many things within nature that were quite obviously meant to entertain the intelligent beings rather then have any others purpose. Dandelions were one thing, a simple tap or blow then the whole thing came apart and drifted through the wind without a care or destination, just simply taking themselves beyond their roots to some place new. Flies, another of the wonders mother nature sent to keep its children from getting in to much trouble. Though infuriating, once one got into the spirit of things they were, like the dandelion heads rather fun to try and catch or trap some place then squish until they were no more. There were also things that were out side of nature that were quite fun. Flute's favorite were much like the dandelions only you could squish them like a fly when you caught them. They were of course bubbles! The cub had found a bottle of bubble mix at the back of the nursery and was out side of the ivy covered den waving the stick around in hope to create the liquid spheres that's clear, fragile shell was marbled with purples and greens in the light before catching as many as she could and watching those that escaped disappear into the distant blue sky.

So far there had not been much in the way of experience in powers for little Flute, certainly she had not found or developed any powers so far and had only used telepathy with Pocketwatch once or twice and seen Steropaw shape shift into a snow leopard. But nothing had ever really gone wrong and it wasn't first hand experience. They still freaked her out a little. As always she was following Blue, going where he was and trying to keep up though he was a lot bigger then her so it could sometimes be a case of running after him. Upon seeing the shape shifting trainee she immediately ducked under her brother, happy to watch from beneath him by poking her head out from between his legs but still didn't really want to be alone with the power she did not understand nor a tiger.
