There was not much that Flute ever dreamed about but nightmares were always apparent. It was only in the last few day when she had been in the clan that she had known kindness, love and friendship, the rest of her life (that was all that she could remember) had been occupied with terror and pain, that was why even now she came to expect it from almost everyone and everything. There were however some things that could sooth this now, for instance she enjoyed the company of her adoptive big brother Blue who had been there to relive her dread numerous times now and if was not around then there was always the nursery den to curl up in. If not with Blue or in the nursery she often felt the pitch of fear and once settled in her mind, it rarely wanted to surrender itself. Thankfully, the snow leopard was calm and safe in her mind in that moment because she had just awoken from a nap in the youngsters dwelling and was about to go look from the door for her big brother who had said he would be there for her once she awoke. Currently it seemed as if he had not realized she had woken but there was however the kind tabby she had met when she had first arrived sitting out side the entrance. At first she thought it might be best just to go back inside but it was a nice day and she wasn't scared of the femme, maybe it would be ok just to lie in wait of her brother. So slowly, wearily she took a spot a foot or two from Pocketwatch and lay down, playing with the necklace her brother had given her between her paws as she did.

Some would defiantly say that they were an odd looking pair indeed. Certainly they were not the same sorts of characters or the two that some would pick out to be friends but in the whole of the clan, arguably their bond might be one of the strongest even when they had only known each other for a matter of days. It just happened without warning. One simple act of kindness from Blue and Flute latched onto him, he was her guardian, her best friend and most importantly the best big brother she could ever hope for. As well as being really nice to cuddle. Blue cuddles were the best. There was nothing that could change her mind about that. Her only wish was that she could show how much she loved him, the conch shell was just a small token and she was extra pleased that he liked it! That was what she was currently staring at, the big, pink thing hanging from his neck when he pointed out the things he had laid on the sand and said that they were for her. At first she didn't understand what he meant by they were for her, she had never been given anything, she had only given. What was she meant to do? When she had given Blue his conch he had taken it, did he want her to take it because...They were beautiful, why should she take them? Carefully she shifted forward and looked at them wearily. Her brother never lied to her, why would he do so now? As if to ask the cub looked up like she had done upon offering his protection to her when they had first met, a simple question of 'really?' but without waiting for a proper anwser, just a feeling in her heart she bounded forward and stuck her head in the sand in the center of the necklace loop, thinking that it would just go on if she continued to so. Needless to say she really didn't understand the physics of necklaces.

OH MY GOD THAT IS SO CUTE. AT MY WORK THEY HAD HUSKY PUPPIES AND THEY (WERE) ARE SO CUTE APART FROM NOW THEIR ADULT HUSKY PUPPIES AND THEY CHASE AND BITE YOUR HAIR. BUT THEY WERE SO ADORABLE WHEN THEY WERE YOUNGER.

It very quickly became apparent that interaction was going to spark up between the two when snow leopard noticed how the tabby seemed to peer around blindly when she sat down, but it would be a little hard she reckoned as she was mute and didn't want to use physical contact too quickly encase Pocket did not like it. That was why making friends was so hard for Flute and why Blue was so precious to her, being nervous and uncertain meant she didn't have the confidence to be outgoing but Blue she was always sure with and he could always tell what she was feeling without her having to tell him. But this was a little more difficult, she didn't know how to reply and she didn't want to seem impolite. Something in between? Gently the young cub pured, hoping it would be loud enough for the shaman trainee to hear even though it very well could confuse her a bit.

Some might have thought that she was scratching her head or something as she shuffled around in the dirt, the top of her head wagging from side to side in attempt to pick the necklace up but it didn't quite work and eventually she realized that Blue was going to do it for her. He wasn't only the best big brother in the world, he was seemingly the smartest also! And the best at cuddles. Don't forget the cuddles. Once the twine and pendant had been place around her neck she sort of gave a small squeak as looked down and saw the shell dangling with the pretty beads. In her excitement she spun around, just to feel the necklace spin with her and fall upon her chest. It was the perfect length, the shell the perfect size and weight so it wasn't to heavy and it looked perfectly pretty, just like Blue's! Then the crown was placed upon her head. For a moment she just stood there, a look of shook across her face as she looked upwards and cross eyed to the head dress which made her feel so special. If she knew what a princess was then she would feel like one of them. A fairy princess. All thanks to her big brother. For a few moments she nothing but still and stare without even blinking, just down right flabber gasted. The only thing that was to break the spell was his nudge to her cheek and then she looked down, smiling as his big warm nose nuzzled her. While it was still at a height the cub could reach she turned and caught it between her front paws, lovingly she licked its tip and purred sisterly affection.

Of course Flute was ecstatic, it was an understatement just to say that she was happy because the young leopardess just ready to burst with just the feeling of being elated because of the gorgeous gifts that she planed to wear with pride forever, protecting them as fiercely as her brother protected her because it was as if she was wearing a little part of him, when ever she saw it she would always think of him. It was the perfect gift for her. Little did she think of where this relationship might lead to because it all seemed so obviously clear to her. They would be best of friends for ever and ever and ever and ever because he was the best adoptive big brother there was in the whole wide world. When questioned about whether she would like to play a game she was unsure for a moment and her face reflected that because she had not really ever played games before and she didn't know what to expect. But this was her big brother asking so there was no problem in giving a go she supposed. The youngster scrambled between his paws, head popping out just under his with the ringlet of flowers securely upon her head, a small smile peeping from uncertainty but if she had Blue with her it would be fine.

At first it didnt seem like she had been able to hear her because there had been no physical reaction by the tabby, Flute had expected for there to be at least a turn of her head or a flick of the ear in her direction but there was no such action so the snow leopard feared that interaction with the trainee shaman was going to be that hell of a lot harder if not impossible. The cub had noidea what she could do now, maybe it was pointless anyway. A familiar voice seemed to occupy her head within a moment of her giving up on convosation, this familiar voice turned out to be Pocketwatch's but Flute did not understand because the tabby was still sitting there a few feet away. There had only been two times when she had expirenced powers, number 2 was with steropaw up in the woods and she shapeshifted into a leopardess in attempt to calm the cub. The first however was not long before joining the clan when she had been prossessed by a gang of rogues taking turns in tortuing her from the inside and make her give painful injuries to herself, some of which she had brought to HawkClan. This is what she thought was happening now and rather then listerning to the voice she sprang to her feet and started to violently scuff her head around in the dirt in the hope that it would make what ever it was leave her. Accompanied by a great about of crying out for her brother, some might have thought it was causing her emence pain. Nevertheless, unconciously she replied to the tabby but didnt recconise her own voice so didnt know she was doing so "GET OUT. GET OUT. GET OUTTTTT!" The youngster whailed though it was only heard by them tow while physically she was still trying to rub the demon out of her and was currently going to a rock to see if she could bash it out. "WHY DO YOU WANT ME! IM ONLY A CUB, I CANT DO ANYTHING!" It was becoming apparent that it was her voice that was fueling the convosation and for a minute it felt weird to know it, she had not heard it before. Dispite it being a phenominal occasion, it did not make it any less terrorfying for her and made her want to do anything to free herself. Without second thought the cub started to hit her head repeatedly off the stone, over and over again in what was a vain attempt. It was only when she felt dozeily and sore that she slipped down the side of the rock and lay upon the camp floor, peering over to the tabby who she could still feel the connection to as she telepathically spoke simple, small, shaky words "Please dont hurt me..."

Flute continued to sit innocently beneath Blue staring up at him with her big ice blue eyes that swam with the colors of the Hawks oceans that sat not 50ft away on the beach as he explained the rules of a game that she had never even heard the name of though just the word 'jellie' sounded fun for was prepared to give it ago, as long as it was with her big brother. Soon the instruction were over and they seemed simpe enough but she still had no idea what a jelly fish was. But she knew what a line was! She could help with that! As long as her brother was still behind her or at least close then she felt comfortable, as she did now, to run forward to the edge of the camp that ajoined the beach and draw a big long line in the sand, stretching from rock to rock that could act as markers. The the cub quickly returned to her brother and sat by his paws, quickly grabbing the oppotunity to rub the side of her head upon the soft, downy fur on his front with a pur.

She felt an humungous about of joy upon hearing that she had done a 'good job' just like the flower crown and the necklace, they made her feel special and important in a way that she had had never really felt before, effectively, bit by bit, meaning was coming into her life like she never would have had had she not become Blue's little sister. The best job in the world with the best big brother in the world! That was why she felt a slight panic for a minute when he started to go away, the cub was going to go with him but ended up running back to the den and peering out from behind the entrance in order to see if there was any sign of him returning at which point she ran back and nuzzled his leg just so that she he knew that he she was there and that it was ok, no need to panic what so ever. Then she saw the jelly fish on his head and couldn't help but smile as some of the tentacles were coming down and sticking to his head or covering his eyes, not to mention the fact they all just looked all squggie. When they were placed down she wasted no time in proving this theory by doing up to on and poking it s that it gave a dead weight wobble but it proved her theory so she stood back with a smile and nodded to Blue with one of the sea creatures in her mouth. Her first shot was fired and though she expected it hit him right on center with force to spare, it barely got past the line before it fell, dead for a second time.

The young cub did feel a little disheartened at the fact that her jelly fish did not even make it past the line, she just couldn't whip her head around far enough to get any momentum behind the jelly fish in order to throw it forward. Even when she was trying her best. Nevertheless the snow leopard watched eagerly as her brother took up arms ready for his shot but then the sea creature seemed to jump up, out of his jaws and come crashing back down onto his head. Though of course she realized the jelly fish was dead, she couldn't help but feel the instinct to protect her brother even though she was only small. Without any care for the line she ran and jumped upon Blue's head, stabled herself on his back and grabbed the jelly beast between her teeth as she tried let her brother be free of its grasp. Eventually she tumbled off the side of him with it still clasped between her teeth though it meant she could not see with a face full of jelly fish, but her on her back, rolling around, growling, clawing, anything to show the fish that it was not mess with her brother until it was dead, again.

Per usual, Flute didn't understand where they were going, she was just following her brother around with the knowledge that she was safe with him, no matter what. The cub kept close to his heels and listened carefully to the others to see what they were saying and what this whole thing was about and soon realized it was basically a question and anwser session about being blind. Flute had her own disability, being mute it was quite hard to interact with people that couldn't read gestures or were impatient, luckily her adoptive brother was both and they got on well together. There had been a time or two when interacting with Pocketwatch had come about and she had show the cub a way of speaking without doing anything that the tabby couldn't see. Effectively she gave her a voice between only the two of them. Flute had a question and if it was not for Pocketwatch's method she might be able to ask it. From behind the husky she slipped, making sure she knew where he was before padding over to the tabby and purring softly, hopefully she would get the idea and remember what had happened outside the nursery den.

Flute had spent most of her morning in the nursery den sleeping but now she couldn't find her adoptive brother Blue and she didn't like not knowing where he was but knew that if she stayed in the den, they would most likely find each other eventually. If not, the den was safe enough and people didn't usually disturb her in there so she could relax or sometimes sit out side. She decided as it was a nice day that she might try this so was quietly passing when she noticed someone else, someone she had not met yet sitting by the wall, just staring at it. Maybe this was not such a good idea, the leopardess thought to herself, though took her time in slipping back inside just so she could watch the stranger for a moment.

The little one wrestled fiercely with the jelly fish as best she could until it was coming apart and Blue pulled it away from her, it was probably for the best, she could have done so much worse then dismantling that jelly fish. Very gently the small leopardess licked the tip of her brothers nose again just to make sure he was ok after his ordeal with the jelly of doom. She knew what it was like to be attacked and it was terrifying, maybe this would be her turn to comfort Blue though in reality she would probably end up being upset with him rather then doing anything of a help. The cub didn't feel like she was hurt any where, the dead jelly fish wasn't that good at fighting she didn't think but nevertheless she nodded in anwser to his question and smiled and squeaked because his searching tickled a little bit.

For a moment she had to wonder why he had stoped searching her and instead decided to peer at her as if thinking. Maybe there was something wrong? Maybe she had hurt herself after all but just didn't feel it? Her eyes widened in worry as she watched her trainee shaman of a big brother just stare. Maybe she had done something wrong or...or maybe he didn't like her any more? All nightmares that she was praying were never going to be come a reality. All hells that were shook away by the sudden and unexpected thrashing of paws all over her little body. Despriatly she squirmed and squeaked happily as her brother tickled her to pieces, something that she was defiantly not used to or had felt before. Thrashing paws darted about left, right and center in a mad uncontrollable frenzy of playful delight as she tried to wriggle her way out of something that she was secretly enjoying all to well.
