As I waited for their answers, I went to examining my nails thoroughly. At Clara's initial reply, I snorted under my breath but listened as she continued. I normally don't stare at people that just happen to be in the direction I'm heading, but hey, who cares? Maybe it's a weird girl thing... I sighed, turning my gaze back to the pair. At Katrina's added words, I rolled my eyes. "Different? How so?" I was taking great pleasure at watching how flustered they were at my blunt questions, which was partially one of the only reasons I was still talking to them, others being their odd behavior, their looks, and something else I couldn't quite put a finger on... They were different, somehow. Maybe it was that they seemed to have some kind of telepathic connection? It almost seemed like they knew eachother's thoughts, judging on their reactions.

I, much like Levi, wondered what they meant by "different..." Was it just a weird girl thing that guys were never able to figure out? Or was it something totally different that I hadn't even thought about considering yet. But, girls did seem to say things like, "You're different from other guys I've met" a lot. In real life, in movies, in books, etc. Or... Now that I was on this train of thought, was it something to do with our abilities? Surely, not even another human with similar abilities would be able to sense them, right? I couldn't sense Levi's any more than he could sense mine.

It was certainly hard to admit that that wasn't a weird encounter. "Er... Bye...?" I responded, waving slightly without responding to her question at all. "Why are they running...?" I muttered, shaking my head and turning to Jacob.
"I dunno. You scared them off, it seems." He said in response, shrugging his shoulders at me, cocking his brows at me.
"What...?" I said, then, I noticed... Something. A slight shift. "Did you feel that? The bench... Moved." I knew my reaction was probably really delayed, but I had only just now noticed it.

    Jacob
Of course I noticed the bench shift. It had happened when they passed. Subtle, but not totally unnoticeable. "What... was it?" I finally asked, leaning forward on the bench. "Those chicks were weird. For sure." I finally remarked, trying to figure out just what it had been... "Do you think they're... Like us? There was definitely something weird going on there."

Both of us sat there for a while, watching as people passed. I tried to get back into my book again, but I couldn't help my mind wandering to those two girls again an again. That was weird, for sure. Who were they? And, what were they? I supposed there would be no use worrying about it, since I most likely wouldn't see either of them again. Or, so I thought. A scream of pain jolted me out of my thoughts, making Jake cut off mid-sentence from whatever he was talking about. "What was that?" I finally managed to get out, through my many failed attempts of getting out some words. This was a small campus; not much crime-wise happened here, so screams like that were unusual. And, by the sound of it, she was in some pain. A good amount of it, to be sure. I got to my feet, my eyes darting around for the source. It had obviously been close...

    Jacob
"So, anyways, he told me that-" I cut off at the sound of a scream, my eyes catching on to Levi's. He voiced my thoughts before I could get a word out though, so I simply got to my feet and dusted off my pants, taking a few steps forwards. The voice was obviously female; there was no mistaking it.At all. As I started forward, I noticed someone running towards us.... Was it that one girl from earlier? Weird... "What the-?"
